I want to be able to draw using this as my stroke. How would I do this as efficient as possible, and on the fly drawing, I was thinking CGPatternRef, but I really don't know how to do that.

It does not need to warp to the path. I just coultn't fix that issue in Illustrator.
How do I make a joystick like the one in i dig it, using UIImageView's that the smaller one can be used to move around, I just really would like to know how I would get the smaller UIImageView to stay inside the larger one, I just don't know how I would do this because they are both circular. I want to make a program similar to GLPaint using CGContext that is very smooth and easy to put images behind. I understand that GLPaint has no allowance for putting an Image behind the painting canvas, rather than having just a black one.
Ok I have a UIButton inside every row of a UITableView, and I want to fade it to alpha 0 when it begins editing. Then the opposite when it goes back to normal. How do I do this?

I have an NSString that I would like to draw it's contents to a UIImage but have absolutely NO idea how I would go about doing this. I need to call a method that I give it an NSString and returns a UIImage with the text drawn into it.
