• Run totally silent rsync?

  I have a cronjob that runs hourly, and is totally silent unless something goes wrong. Well ... almost ... A part of the job is rsync --del -Cacqrz public/. [email protected]:/target/path This always prints "logged in". How can I make it stop? (Short of 'grep -v' ;-) I don't get the "logged in" message if I do things like ssh [email protected] ls The transport is, of course, ssh (using keys). Source host is either OSX or Ubuntu (tried both, same behavior). Target host is Linux of some flavor.

• My form submit button is not showing correctly

  I have created an form that submits the contents to email. I have used the exact same coding in many other websites, but for my new website http://www.peterevansfuneraldirectors.co.uk/contact-us.html the submit button is just a grey square with text, rather than the usual button. Also the hand doesn't come up on hover. • RoR model field without validators, has*, delegates, etc

  How can I declare a field, in the Rails model, when it doesn't have any "has_" relations, or validations, or delegations? I just need to ensure its existence and column width in the schema. Currently, I have no mention of the field in the "schema section" of the model file, but it's referenced in various methods that use it, and this seems to work. However, depending on my exact creation workflow, the underlying database table may be created as t.binary "field_name", :limit => 32 or t.binary "field_name", :limit => 255 This is not a restriction on the value (any binary value is valid, even NULL), only on the table column declaration. As it happens, 32 is enough -- it never receives any larger value, it's only ever written to like this: self.field_name = SecureRandom.random_bytes(32)
