• Weird Apache Crash (with Dump) zend_hash_find (), libphp5.so

  To be honest I don't have experience working with Apache. I'm just putting the best of my intentions on solving this and don't know if I'm making it right. So any help will be greatly appreciated. We have a php page wich is throwing the following message in the browser: Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data. The logs from /var/log/httpd doesn't seem to help because It seems that the Apache is unable to write any information. So the exception or error is preventing the writing (maybe ocurring in some stage of the process that makes impossible to log?). I've read about the procedure to make dumps of the apache, and here we have the content: Reading symbols from /lib64/libgpg-error.so.0...(no debugging symbols found)...done. Loaded symbols for /lib64/libgpg-error.so.0 Reading symbols from /usr/lib64/php/modules/zip.so...(no debugging symbols found)...done. Loaded symbols for /usr/lib64/php/modules/zip.so Core was generated by `/usr/sbin/httpd'. Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault. 0 0x00007fb828fff712 in zend_hash_find () from /etc/httpd/modules/libphp5.so Missing separate debuginfos, use: debuginfo-install httpd-2.2.15-15.el6.centos.1.x86_64 I've been looking in the PHP files and I haven't found any direct call to zend_hash_find (wich seems to be causing the error). I've been looking at Google but found nothing related. Can somebody please help? Is there any step that I need to accomplish to know more? Thanks a lot, as always!

• Disk usage on IIS, PHP5, performance problems.

  Hi everybody, I'm quite worried with a performance problem that I'm facing in one of our production servers. I'm working for a hosting company, so you can imagine how heterogeneous the applications runnning here are. All started with a call of a client complaining about the speed loading a Joomla. The setup is IIS6 (Windows 2003) with PHP5 and FAST CGI wich normally works pretty well. I've tested the loading time and indeed, he was right. 7 or 8 seconds to load, when usually this can be accomplished in 2. Seeing this results, I started to check first CPU and RAM. Everithing normal, 2GB of RAM free, 3%-8% of CPU activity. That's what I call a relaxed server ;). Unfortunately, digging a little deeper I've found the 'PhysicalDisk' counters quite high (above 10), specially the read queues. I've used Process Explorer to see wich of those processes has the higher deltas, but everything seemed normal. As the problem is specially related to PHP pages, I've checked specific IIS counters, as Actual connections, Number of CGI requeriments and Number of ISAPI requeriments. CGI -> 3 to 7 ISAPI -> 5 to 9 Connections-> 90 to 120 (wich appears at the top of the graph) More than a solution (I know this is hard to find), I would like to know if you have an specifical methodology to face this kind of problems. • FTP Logs in IIS 7.5

  I know this is weird, but the thruth is that I can't find the FTP logs in one IIS 7.5 Server. In the IIS Management Console, I've gone to the server, click on FTP Logging that appears inside FTP group (with other options like FTP Messages and FTP Request filtering). Seems that the configured folder for logs is: C:\InetPubFolder\logs\LogFiles If I go there, I can find a lot of folders with the structure W3SVC#, where # it's a number. They all contain logs, but they are HTTP logs, plenty of GET and POST verbs. Am I missing something? The server contains a lot of domains and It's hard to find.
