  I tried difference setting in Jmeter and Tomcat. If the Threads number in JMeter is 1~200, Then tomcat is okay. If It is 300, Then after serving few requests, tomcat starts to output errors.   I used HTTP Chache Manager to Cache files which are being cached in browser. I am successful of doing it for some of the pages. Number of files being cached in Jmeter is equal to Number of files being cached by browser. But in some cases : I found number files being cached is lesser than the files being cached by browser. Using Jmeter I found only 5 files are being cached but in real browser 12 files are getting cached. Thanks in advance

Launch jmeter 2.3.3, added thred group to test plan 2. Under Workbench-add-non-test elements- added HTTP proxy server. proxy server setting are port:9090, target:use recording controller, grouping:donot group samplers, Type:HTTp request and checked the boxes of all under http sampler settings 3.Saved the settings 4. Now in browser(IE 7.0 or firefox 3.0.16), under connection settings, setup the manual proxy settings as local host and port as 9090(no auto detect settings nothing, only manual proxy). Setting saved 5.Now in the jmeter, started the http proxy server. 6. Open a browser and hit the webpage needs to be tested. The page is not opened. In fact because of the changes made in browsers, no pages are opened. Whenever i try hitting a page, the pages are recorded in the Jmeter. but without the page open, how can i test. I looking for an immediate answer and my work is blocked. Immediate answer would be appreciated.

I used the tutorial from http://www.backtrack-linux.org/wiki/index.php/Java_Install Because I had some trouble once, I knew that there are multiple library folders, so I linked into all mozilla plugin folders that there are. /root/.mozilla/plugins /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/ /usr/lib/firefox-addons /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins java -version returns java version "1.7.0_07" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_07-b10) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.3-b01, mixed mode) But when I go to firefox plugins, it's not listed. What do I need to do, so that firefox recognizes java?

For example, the default lyric plugin does not work for me and there doesn't appear to be an sound-equalizer by default. Can anybody direct me to proper tool or can tell me how to do it with jmeter?   On 11.10, which Compiz plugins are enabled by default? I.e. I should leave them enabled for some particular reason. I've imported my Compiz settings from my previous install and so I can't tell. I'd like to disable all unnecessary plugins because I've noticed the potential for interference or performance issues. I don't think I can trust the CCSM feature "Reset to defaults" because when I use it I need to run unity --reset afterwards in order for my desktop to work again (implying that the default values it resets to are not the values that Ubuntu/Unity requires).
