• Does anybody know where I can find a good "how to" on restoring a MySQL database using Backup Exec?

  I need to test our backups and currently I am trying to figure out how to "restore" one of our live MySQL databases to one of our development servers...does anybody know of a site with a good how to on this using Backup Exec? If it makes a difference, the DB is run on CentOS. Thanks!

• Do I have to use a DNS PTR?

  I am currently working on a site in my free time with a few other guys and we are wanting to redirect xxx.com to our new site, yyy.com. So we have xxx.com set to redirect the 216.111.11.1 which is the IP for yyy.com. However, this just says the website is unavailable so it seems as though we need a DNS PTR to redirect 216.111.11.1 to yyy.com. Is there any way to do this without a DNS PTR? The pointer will cost us $15 and it just seems like there should be some better way to go about doing this. Any ideas?

• Something keeps changing the default permissions of my settings.php file for a web site on Linux

  I keep changing the file permissions for the file /var/www/html/websitename/settings.php to 775 and within 15 minutes or so it automatically changes back 555. The owner of the file is "apache" and the group ownership is for our Linux Developers just like all of the other files which are not having this issue. Obviously there must be some sort of process running that is automatically changing the file permissions (apache maybe?) but I haven't been able to figure out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Looking for an open source real-time network analysis program

  Can somebody recommend an open source real-time network analysis program? What I'm looking for the program to do is display a graph of bandwidth usage by IP within our internal network that can quickly be viewed any time we need to (typically when we want to quickly find out who is utilizing high amounts of bandwidth and slowing down the network). We ideally simply want to hook up a monitor on the wall of our server room to a system whose NIC will be in permissive mode to log all network activity in a visual manner which can easily be seen and running 24/7. Prefer open source as I do not have a budget for this project and prefer open source projects in general. I'd also prefer for this to be available for CentOS but any linux distro or Windows OS would be acceptable. Thanks!

• Is it possible to extract folders from Outlook to place on my C: without losing the folder structure

  Basically I have a whole bunch of Outlook folder directories with specific emails and attachments in each of them that I want to preserve and place on my C:. Is it possible to do this or will I need to go through each email individually and save it to whatever folder I want it to be saved in?
