  • restart of web dev server every time load ASP.NET MVC application

    Hi, I continously get this problem (stack trace below) when I start my ASP.NET MVC application and have to restart the web dev server and then it goes away. It appears to be happening on when I make modification in my jquery and then try to restart the application. protected void Application_Start() { InitialiseIocContainer(); RegisterViewEngine(ViewEngines.Engines); RegisterRoutes(RouteTable.Routes); SetupLogging(); } It appears to get caugth on the Application_start in global.asax. I've done lots of search in google but no luck.   • Can someone recommend a resource/site/book to improve problem solving skills

    I am a reasonably experienced developer (.NET, c#, asp.NET etc) but I'd like to hone my problem solving skills. I find that when I come up against a complex problem I sometimes implement a solution that I feel could have been better had I analyzed the problem in a different way. Ideally what I am looking for is a resource of some type that has 'practice problems and solutions' as I think my skills will only get better by practicing this more and adopting better practices. I hope my question is not to vague and I wont get upset with people answering with opinions etc.. thanks

  • How can I see the parameters in intellisense in a spark file?

    Hi, I've got spark intellisense working but when I open the parameters () of the method I can not see what is supposed to go in there and several of the methods have overloads so I can't see what options I have. For example !{Html.Hidden()} once I open the () I can not see what parameters I am to pass any ideas?

  • How can I see who in my team are writing the most code and who is writing the least using TFS?

    I am having a problem with one of my team members output. He seems to be always 'busy' yet I am unable to see exactly what code he has done and he seems be delivering very little and it seems to take a long time to do so. I'd like to investigate further using TFS and was wondering if there is any functionality in TFS that shows what has been written by an individual or similar? Just to clarify I am NOT spying I am trying to resolve situation. This is only a starting point. I un derstand that quantity of code does not equate to best programmer thanks for any answers

  • Joomla, Drupal, DotNetNuke or something else for a sport club?

    I am setting up a web site for a football club and I am wondering which CMS to use. I am a developer but I am doing this as a favour to a friend and would rather grab something with modules in it (registration, events, calender, etc etc) already. I need to be able to customise it but I had a look around and Wordpress looks like a blogging tool. I am wondering if anyone has experience with the above or any others and if shed some light.
