• How to make a swing app aware of screen size change?

  Hi, while my swing app is running I change the size of the screen (e.g. from 1024x768 to 800x600). Is there any event I can listen to to be notified about this? Alternatively I could check the screen size in every couple of second, but the Toolkit.getScreenSize() keeps telling me the old value. How could I get the real screen size after the change? Environment: Linux (tested on SuSE ES 11 and Ubuntu 9.04) I appreciate your help. Marton

  I get back a JSON response from a social networks site. There are certain accented characters that I would like to be removed. An example is : L\u00e1szl\u00f3 M\u00e1rton, that reads "László Márton" and I would like to be transformed into Laszlo Marton. I would like to keep the JSON format intact, as I will send it towards. How can I do this?

  I have this small script: <? header('Content-Type: text/javascript; charset=utf8'); $s="L\u00e1szl\u00f3 M\u00e1rton"; echo $s; ?> The browser displays "L\u00e1szl\u00f3 M\u00e1rton" and it should display László Márton. What I am doing wrong?
