• Kohana 3 simple relations..

  I'm trying to write a very simple cms (for learning purposes) in kohana 3 web framework. I have my db schemas and i want to map it to ORM but i have problems with relations. Schemas:articles and categories One article has one category. One category might has many articles of course. I think it is has_one relationship in article table.(?) Now php code. I need to create application/classes/models/article.php first, yes? class Model_Article extends ORM { protected // and i am not sure what i suppose to write here }

• Working with git from 2 laptops with no bare repo

  I've started project in my first laptop. git init, and start working. Tomorrow i'm going to vacations. I want to take with me my smaller laptop. And work with project from time to time. I cloned repository via ssh from bigger laptop (git clone ssh://adress) And when i will back, what is the best way to push changes from smaller laptop to the bigger one? There is no bare repo in bigger laptop. And i want to work with that repo on the bigger laptop later, so i have to do this clear.

• QT4, paginated showing elements

  I am going to write an application that uses QT4 (with C++ or python it isnt important in that moment). One of functionality is "Showing all items in database". One item has a Title, author, description and photo (constant size) And there could be very many items. Let's say 400. There won't be enough space to show'em all at once time. One row will have 200px, so i need at most 4 for once time. How to paginate them? I have no idea. I can use limit and offset in SQL queries, but how to tell window: "that's 5th page"? Any solutions?
