• Skype installed or not installed, that is the question

  After upgrading 11.10 to 12.04, I noticed that Skype 2.2.0.35 was no longer on the sidebar of icons. Found it in Dash and it runs but no sound. Figured I'd check Ubuntu Software Center and reinstall but it indicates a different version - 2.2.0.35-0precise3 - and indicates that Skype is not installed. Attempting to go ahead and install errors saying that it can't install when skype is already installed. sudo apt-get remove skype ...says "Package skype not installed" Tried to update apt-get but that didn't make any difference. Seems like it would be best to straighten this all out so it's right and, presumably, the newer version is probably better to have installed. Can anyone step me through how to do so?

• How do I send the mutable string to the NSTextField properly?

  So I have all this code that I have debugged and it seems to be fine. I made a mutable string and for some reason I can not get it to be displayed on my label. the debugger says "2010-04-22 22:50:26.126 Fibonacci[24836:10b] * -[NSTextField setString:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x130150" What is wrong with this? When I just send the string to NSLog, it comes out fine. here's all my code, any help would be appreciated. "elementNum" is a comboBox and "display" is a Label. • How do to change an NSBox location (or position?) programmatically in objective c?

  I am learning objective c and am making some small programs. for my current project i am taking a NSBox and changing it's location based on a random number. How do I change the box's location? With C# it was a simple "box.location = anotherLocation" but I can't figure out how to do this in objective c. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Read on and enjoy the honesty and insight. Q. What do you like best about performing in front of a live audience?A. Probably just having fun and entertaining the audience. We've been together for almost two decades, and in that time we've played for crowds of five people, and for crowds of more than 15,000. Both are equally important to us, and just as fun. We turn Jill and Smelley loose on the between-songs repartee, and let the songs shine through. On the best night, we feed on the audience's love and vice-versa. It's emotional vampirism of the best sort. [Blogger's note: now that whole "red meat" thing is starting to make sense ...] Q. Do you prefer smaller, intimate venues or larger, louder ones? Why?A. • Postfix - am I sending spam?

  today I received like 30 messages within 5 minutes telling me that some mail I send could not be delivered, mostly to *.ru email addresses which I did not send any mail to. I have my own webserver (postfix/dovecot) set up using this guide (http://workaround.org/ispmail/lenny) but adjusted a little bit for Ubuntu. I tested whether I am an Open Relay which I am apparently not. Now there are two possible reasons for the above mentioned emails: Either I am sending out spam, or somebody wants me to think that, correct? How can I check this? I selected one particular address that I supposedly send spam to. Then I searched my mail.log for this entry. I found two blocks that record that somebody from the server connected to my server and delivered some message to two different users. I cannot find an entry reporting that anyone from my server send an email to that server. Does this mean its just some mail to scare me or could it still have been send by me in the first place?
