  Hi I'm starting to learn symfony for php framework and I got problem with httpd.conf configuration. First, I have xampplite installed on my windows c:\xampplite\ and then I created a symfony project (as described on getting started guide) c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\ Everything works fine when I tried to access http://localhost/symfonytest/web/ (all icons and text are displayed pretty well) Now I got to configure the httpd.conf and I type like this: <VirtualHost 127.0.0.1/symfonytest> DocumentRoot "c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\web" DirectoryIndex index.php <Directory "c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\web"> AllowOverride All Allow from All </Directory> Alias /sf c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\web\sf <Directory "c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\web\sf"> AllowOverride All Allow from All </Directory> But it has no effect at all ... when I type http://127.0.0.1/symfonytest/ it still displayed directory list of my c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\ How to solve this httpd.conf problem?   Hi, I'm going to start a new project that's building web apps from scratch. I have been thinking about using symfony framework for this project. Should I start using symfony 2.0 or stick with 1.4 ? I estimate this project will be finish on May or June this year but I realise that symfony 2.0 still on development. Which one I should use ? I want it to be flexible as possible. I heard also that symfony 2.0 faster than the previous one ...

  Hi, I need some recommendations ... I was asked to built a web portal/blog that looks like http://iwannabemom.com/(they use wordpress) the reason i am using joomla because i have some components that i need to implement on joomla instead of using wordpress. what is the components for (joomla 1.5): 1. top news (can be scrolled). I know there are Gavick, it is good ... but I need second options for that 2. thumbnail image for each articles. Joomla has no thumbnail for article modules .. sad :( 3. comment system. should I use Disqus (disqus.com) or using jomcomment. About Disqus, is it good and reliable services ? 4. Tag hierarchy ... any good recommendations ? 5. I hate Joomla Media Manager and Joomla Text Editor (TinyMCE) because I cannot choose directly from media manager (i have to type the full url for images). Any good recommendations ?

  Hi, I need to print a receipt from my web based apps using dot matrix printer epson tm-u220d (pos printer). I need to know, should I generate the receipt in html or in plain text ? I ever saw some commands for dot matrix printer to change the font size, line feed etc .. but I don't remember that commands. if I have to use plain text I need to use that commands. anyone knows where i can get the references ?
