• How get Tomahawk functionality with JSF 2.0 (Glassfish V3)

  I've started to upgrade an existing application written with JSF 1.1 and MyFaces Tomahawk 1.1 to JSF 2.0 to get facelets etc. I've now run into the snag that apparently Tomahawk is not JSF 2.0 compatible as it expects the stand-alone version of Facelets instead of the built-in to JSF 2.0 with the following error: org.apache.catalina.LifecycleException: com.sun.faces.config.ConfigurationException: CONFIGURATION FAILED! com.sun.facelets.tag.jsf.ComponentHandler (it appears to be placed in javax.faces.view.facelets now). I have looked around and there doesn't seem to be a JSF 2.0 facelet compatible version of Tomahawk. I only believe I need t:updateActionListener (inside t:dataTable) and the rowSpan facility of t:panelGroup. Is all this functionality available in JSF 2.0 directly, or must I locate a new library giving this? Any suggestions?

  Hai, I am using the AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF library to Display the files in the winforms Control using the line, "AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF.src = path; " it's loaded the file well and when we click CTRL+F it showing search box and searching the searched string well. But we need to implement the search funtionality programatically using the Dotnet Code to automatically search the string in pdf file.*To do so i didn't find any supported methods to find the string programatically. please provide the solution to to implement the search functionality in pdf files. • WinForm PDF viewer with programatic search functionality

  We are currently using PDFTron's PDFView WinForm control to view PDF's in a WinForm application. I can load the file and search the file to highlight a certain text value. We have run into an issue where we have expired our trial license period and do not wish to shell out the $900/seat licensing on 15-20 computers. Does anybody know if the ActiveX Adobe Reader control can support the searching functionality programatically? I've tried that and the FoxIt Reader OCX control and neither seem to have this feature exposed (unless it's hidden really well) Does anybody have any suggestions for other freeware/open source viewers, or less-expensive viewers? TIA!

  I would like to add Copy-Paste Link functionality to an application. The application replaces a complex Excel workbook. I would like to be able to copy tables, text, and charts from the application and use Paste Link in MS Word. For the uninitiated: With Excel, when you use Paste Link for the tables, text, charts, etc. the items update in Word when you change them in Excel. Does anyone know for sure if this is/is not possible (is it some proprietary feature of MS Word-Excel)? If not, can anyone point me to some resources that will help (either an app that does this or a tutorial/write-up). Thanks!

Is it possible to remove this functionality from the class and inject it after the instance was created? All I need to do is allow a user to enter information in the new view (/posts/new) and then replace the submit button with a preview button. Once the preview button is clicked, the user is routed to the preview page (probably /posts/new/preview). If the user wants to make a change they would click 'go back' or if they are happy with the post they can then submit the post.   How can we Implement Bisect Python functionality in PHP Implement function bisect_left($arr, $item); as a pure-PHP routine to do a binary-bisection search for the position at which to insert $item into $list, maintaining the sort order therein. Assumptions: Assume that $arr is already sorted by whatever comparisons would be yielded by the stock PHP < operator, and that it's indexed on ints. The function should return an int, representing the index within the array at which $item would be inserted to maintain the order of the array. The returned index should be below any elements in $arr equal to $item, i.e., the insertion index should be "to the left" of anything equal to $item. Search routine should not be linear! That is, it should honor the name, and should attempt to find it by iteratively bisecting the list and comparing only around the midpoint.

  I'm not sure I'm asking the right question here, but I'm looking to provide web based functionality from one ASP.NET application to another remote 'portal-like' application. Is it possible to simply give the portal a DLL? As an example, let's say the SaaS web app has a patient-entry form that I want to be able to use from the portal application. I would like the portal app to be able to set preferences (permissions, color, style, etc), make a function call, and have that capability presented within a certain div or something. Is there any .NET technologies that provide this kind of integration?

  I have been using rails for developing web applications and now i need to do design an api for iphone application and since i used respond to json it also produces json but i use devise for authentication in my web application and when i send email and password along with the api it gives out {"user":{"authentication_token":"Lsusyd27ewgasga63","email":"[email protected]"}} and there is forgot password functionality in the iphone app but in the web application when clicking on forgot password button it sends an email to the users email, whereby the user has to go to his mail and click on the link sent and it will take to the change password path and after changing it the user will be login but in this iphone app i want to send the password to the user mail and the user can use that password and login. How can i do this? Also do i have to create new controllers for api or the web application controller is enough if it respond as json? please help me.

• Advanced search functionality

  I have a website with a jQuery based autocomplete search functionality which works great. Currently though I have just one search box for all categories, what I want is for someone to be able to type in, say for example, dorian gray dvd (in any order) which will search for dorian gray within the dvd category. What this will require then is a bit of magic on the server side to figure out if any of the words are category keywords, and then limit the search by that. What is the best (and quickest) way to do this in PHP / MySQL? I currently have a few trains of thought Search the category table for matches and perhaps order the results by that. Or split up the search terms into an array and separately search the categories for that for a match. Another thought I just had is to concat the category title to the dvd title in the database and match against that, or something similar... but this sounds computationally expensive? Any advice?

Do they actually save the ad/post in the database before continuing to Step 2 (Preview) but set a flag (like a boolean field called preview set to true)? It looks like they set a token paramater but I'm not sure what it's used for) I'm interested in this because it seems to go against the CRUD/REST and I thought it would be good to know how it worked.   Hi.. I have a UITableViewController. I want to pop the copy/paste menu up when the user touches a cell. How to implement this functionality. Can someone help me. I tried this code, UIMenuController *theMenu = [UIMenuController sharedMenuController]; [theMenu setTargetRect:CGRectMake(10, 200, 100, 40) inView:[self tableView]]; [theMenu setMenuVisible:YES animated:YES]; But it doesn't work. My question is, What CGRect I have to pass as the setTargetRect parameter? Do I need to call SetNeedsDisplayInRect in my TableViewController? What else to do to make this work?

  Hey all, I have a listbox of items that I am using, and I have a button I made which scrolls up and down, but the only problem is, that you have to click every single time you want to scroll up and down a bit. I am looking for the functionality to simply hold down on the button and have it scroll.. is this possible in WPF? Perhaps I am overlooking something? I searched the internet and haven't found anything like it. Perhaps someone has done this before? Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

I am using .net 4.0 Tried setting menuAccountMembers.RenderingCompatibility = new Version(3, 5); as well. If there a property to only display the first 5 root menu items, then show scroll bars for the rest? It can be click-able, no need to hover over to show next item.

  I have been building a multi-user database application (in C#/WPF 4.0) that manages tasks for all employees of a company. I now need to add some functionality such as sending an email reminder to someone when a critical task is due. How should this be done? Obviously I don’t want every instance of the program to be performing this function (Heh each user would get 10+ emails). Should I add the capability to the application as a "Mode" and then run a copy on the database server in this mode or would it be better to create a new app altogether to perform "Global" type tasks? Is there a better way?

  I'm creating a new plugin for TinyMce. However I cannot find any examples to see some of the functionality I've seen in other plugins. I've read their source code but I cannot find where it is done: When you click on an 'A' element, the link/unlink buttons in the taskbar become enabled. When you right click on an 'A' element, then click on the "Insert/edit link" icon that is shown in the popup menu, the "Insert/edit link" window is setup (has all the attributes for that particular link) prefilled. Could you suggest somewhere where I could learn how to do this? A file and line number is fine. Thanks in advance.

I recently started using the WPF Datagrid with DataGridTemplateColumns containing the WPF AutoCompleteBox, but I'm finding trouble in implementing Clipboard.Paste functionality for these DataGridTemplateColumns. I've managed to get Clipboard.Paste working with built-in DataGridColumns via Vishal's guide here, but it doesn't work with DataGridTemplateColumns. Delving into the OnPastingCellClipboardContent method in the DataGridColumn class, it appears that fe.GetBindingExpression(CellValueProperty) is returning null rather than the required BindingExpression. • Debugging StoreKit functionality without a device

  Hi! I'm porting an app with in-app purchase functionality from the iPhone to the iPad, but the simulator doesn't handle any StoreKit calls (they fail immediately with a warning). Since there are no iPads available yet, I can't use a device for debugging. I have thought of a few alternatives: Use the iPhone code as is. This is the safe bet since everything already works on the iPhone, but it will not feel right on the iPad (there are several ViewControllers in a NavigationController involved on the iPhone, but everything could fit on one screen on the pad). Write a test framework for StoreKit. I actually started doing this, but I won't be able to finish it in time. Submit untested code and pray. Nah, just kidding -- that's not an option :) So, any thoughts? Has anyone else written a test framework for this kind of thing? I googled a bit but couldn't find anything. I'm grateful for any thoughts on this!

  Hi all, I am using this script to apply style on a select box. It works fine as a standalone version. But I also need to apply a jump menu functionality on this select box. I tried adding a function but it seems that there is some conflict between the two scripts. The jquery styling and the jump menu function can't work together at the same time. Can you help me fix it? • asp.net mvc and portal like functionality

  fHi, I need to build an site with some portal like functionality where an param in the request will indentify the portal. like so http:/domain/controller/action/portal Now my problem is if an portal doesn't exists there must be an redirect to an other site/page and an user can login in to one portal but if the user comes to an other portal the user must be redirected back to the login page for that portal. I have something working now, but i feel like there must be an central place in the pipeline to handle this. My current solution uses an custom action filter which checks the portal param and sees if the portal exists and checks if the user logged on in that portal (the portal the user logged on for is in the authentication cookie). I make my own IIndentiy and IPrincipal in the application_postauthentication event. I have 2 problems with my current approach: 1: It's not really enforced, i have to add the attributes to all controllers and/or actions. 2: The isauthenticated on an user isn't really working, i would like that to work. But for that i need to have access to the params of the route when i create my IPrincipal/IIndenty and i can't seem to find an correct place to do that. Hope someone can give me some pointers, Richard.
