  • MVC + Extjs + IIS6 + Wildcard Mapping = Post Form resulting in 302 object moved

    - by Orkun Balkanci
    Everything seems to work fine until i want to submit the form and update the database. Wildcard mapping works on requests like "/navigation/edit/1", but when i submit the form as: var ajaxPost = function(Url, Params) { Ext.Ajax.request({ url: Url, params: Params, method: 'POST', async: false, scope: this }); }; it says "200 bad response: syntax error" and in firebug there is "Failed to load source for: http://.../Navigation/edit/1". Any help?

  • WPF / Silverlight - Mapping API

    - by Travis
    I am about to start on a project where I need to display maps with cross streets and possibly directions. I know there are a lot of API for the web, but I was wondering what the best solution is for a desktop application. I know of Bing Maps and I believe there are some Google Maps solutions out there as well. Any help or information on good mapping API's would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Commercial Mapping software - South Africa

    - by Ian
    Hi, I am looking for a good quality and reliable mapping solution for South Africa. We require similar functionality to Bing and Google. ie plotting markers on the map, geocoding, drawing polygons, popups on the map showing content etc. So far Google maps looks like the winner, but are there other options that you would recommend. thanks

  • How to make other semantics behave like SV_Position?

    - by object
    I'm having a lot of trouble with shadow mapping, and I believe I've found the problem. When passing vectors from the vertex shader to the pixel shader, does the hardware automatically change any of the values based on the semantic? I've compiled a barebones pair of shaders which should illustrate the problem. Vertex shader : struct Vertex { float3 position : POSITION; }; struct Pixel { float4 position : SV_Position; float4 light_position : POSITION; }; cbuffer Matrices { matrix projection; }; Pixel RenderVertexShader(Vertex input) { Pixel output; output.position = mul(float4(input.position, 1.0f), projection); output.light_position = output.position; // We simply pass the same vector in screenspace through different semantics. return output; } And a simple pixel shader to go along with it: struct Pixel { float4 position : SV_Position; float4 light_position : POSITION; }; float4 RenderPixelShader(Pixel input) : SV_Target { // At this point, (input.position.z / input.position.w) is a normal depth value. // However, (input.light_position.z / input.light_position.w) is 0.999f or similar. // If the primitive is touching the near plane, it very quickly goes to 0. return (0.0f).rrrr; } How is it possible to make the hardware treat light_position in the same way which position is being treated between the vertex and pixel shaders? EDIT: Aha! (input.position.z) without dividing by W is the same as (input.light_position.z / input.light_position.w). Not sure why this is.

  • Telerik Object reference not set to an instance of an object

    - by Duncan
    Hi, I have a main form which contains multiple worker threads. These threads raise events which update Telerik controls on the main form. The event handlers contain code which check if InvokeRequired and BeginInvoke where required. At random interval I am receiving the following exception, and have no idea on how where to find this? I was wondering if the following is understandable to anyone to point me in the right direction. • Why did object-oriented paradigms take so long to go mainstream?

    - by Earlz
    I read this question and it got me thinking about another fairly recent thing. Object oriented languages. I'm not sure when the first one was created, but why did it take so long before they became mainstream? C became vastly popular, but didn't become the object-oriented C++ for years(decades?) later No mainstream language before the 90s was object oriented Object oriented really seemed to take off with Java and C++ around the same time Now, my question, why did this take so long? Why wasn't C originally conceived as an object-oriented language? Taking a very small subset of C++ wouldn't have affected the core language a whole lot, so why was this idea not popular until the 90s?

  • Explanation of the definition of interface inheritance as described in GoF book

    - by Geek
    I am reading the first chapter of the Gof book. Section 1.6 discusses about class vs interface inheritance: Class versus Interface Inheritance It's important to understand the difference between an object's class and its type. An object's class defines how the object is implemented.The class defines the object's internal state and the implementation of its operations.In contrast,an object's type only refers to its interface--the set of requests on which it can respond. An object can have many types, and objects of different classes can have the same type. Of course, there's a close relationship between class and type. Because a class defines the operations an object can perform, it also defines the object's type . When we say that an object is an instance of a class, we imply that the object supports the interface defined by the class. Languages like c++ and Eiffel use classes to specify both an object's type and its implementation. Smalltalk programs do not declare the types of variables; consequently,the compiler does not check that the types of objects assigned to a variable are subtypes of the variable's type. Sending a message requires checking that the class of the receiver implements the message, but it doesn't require checking that the receiver is an instance of a particular class. It's also important to understand the difference between class inheritance and interface inheritance (or subtyping). Class inheritance defines an object's implementation in terms of another object's implementation. In short, it's a mechanism for code and representation sharing. In contrast,interface inheritance(or subtyping) describes when an object can be used in place of another. I am familiar with the Java and JavaScript programming language and not really familiar with either C++ or Smalltalk or Eiffel as mentioned here. So I am trying to map the concepts discussed here to Java's way of doing classes, inheritance and interfaces. This is how I think of of these concepts in Java: In Java a class is always a blueprint for the objects it produces and what interface(as in "set of all possible requests that the object can respond to") an object of that class possess is defined during compilation stage only because the class of the object would have implemented those interfaces. The requests that an object of that class can respond to is the set of all the methods that are in the class(including those implemented for the interfaces that this class implements). My specific questions are: Am I right in saying that Java's way is more similar to C++ as described in the third paragraph. I do not understand what is meant by interface inheritance in the last paragraph. In Java interface inheritance is one interface extending from another interface. But I think the word interface has some other overloaded meaning here. Can some one provide an example in Java of what is meant by interface inheritance here so that I understand it better?

  • How can I eager-load a child collection mapped to a non-primary key in NHibernate 2.1.2?

    - by David Rubin
    Hi, I have two objects with a many-to-many relationship between them, as follows: public class LeftHandSide { public LeftHandSide() { Name = String.Empty; Rights = new HashSet<RightHandSide>(); } public int Id { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } public ICollection<RightHandSide> Rights { get; set; } } public class RightHandSide { public RightHandSide() { OtherProp = String.Empty; Lefts = new HashSet<LeftHandSide>(); } public int Id { get; set; } public string OtherProp { get; set; } public ICollection<LeftHandSide> Lefts { get; set; } } and I'm using a legacy database, so my mappings look like: Notice that LeftHandSide and RightHandSide are associated by a different column than RightHandSide's primary key. <class name="LeftHandSide" table="[dbo].[lefts]" lazy="false"> <id name="Id" column="ID" unsaved-value="0"> <generator class="identity" /> </id> <property name="Name" not-null="true" /> <set name="Rights" table="[dbo].[lefts2rights]"> <key column="leftId" /> <!-- THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT: I MUST USE PROPERTY-REF --> <many-to-many class="RightHandSide" column="rightProp" property-ref="OtherProp" /> </set> </class> <class name="RightHandSide" table="[dbo].[rights]" lazy="false"> <id name="Id" column="id" unsaved-value="0"> <generator class="identity" /> </id> <property name="OtherProp" column="otherProp" /> <set name="Lefts" table="[dbo].[lefts2rights]"> <!-- THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT: I MUST USE PROPERTY-REF --> <key column="rightProp" property-ref="OtherProp" /> <many-to-many class="LeftHandSide" column="leftId" /> </set> </class> The problem comes when I go to do a query: LeftHandSide lhs = _session.CreateCriteria<LeftHandSide>() .Add(Expression.IdEq(13)) .UniqueResult<LeftHandSide>(); works just fine. But LeftHandSide lhs = _session.CreateCriteria<LeftHandSide>() .Add(Expression.IdEq(13)) .SetFetchMode("Rights", FetchMode.Join) .UniqueResult<LeftHandSide>(); throws an exception (see below). Interestingly, RightHandSide rhs = _session.CreateCriteria<RightHandSide>() .Add(Expression.IdEq(127)) .SetFetchMode("Lefts", FetchMode.Join) .UniqueResult<RightHandSide>(); seems to be perfectly fine as well.   • NHibernate - Mapping tagging of entities

    - by ZNS
    Hi! I've been wrecking my mind on how to get my tagging of entities to work. I'll get right into some database structuring: tblTag TagId - int32 - PK Name tblTagEntity TagId - PK EntityId - PK EntityType - string - PK tblImage ImageId - int32 - PK tblBlog BlogId - int32 - PK class Image Id EntityType { get { return "MyNamespace.Entities.Image"; } IList Tags; class Blog Id EntityType { get { return "MyNamespace.Entities.Blog"; } IList Tags; The obvious problem I have here is that EntityType is an identifer but doesn't exist in the database. If anyone could help with the this mapping I'd be very grateful.

  • Mapping class properties to generic columns in table .NET

    - by Tony_Henrich
    I have have a SQL Server table which has generic names like Text1, Text2.. etc. The table was designed like this because the same structure is used for different projects. I have a class in .NET which has properties. Say a Customer class has a property called FirstName. How can I do the mapping from FirstName to Text1 just once (central place) in the application so that I don't have to remember and hard code the mappings all over the app when I create the different DAL methods? For example, I want the app to know when I want to update, insert a FirstName, the DAL automatically uses Text1. Basically I don't have to remember which property goes to which column. The idea is so the developers do not map the properlies/columns in a wrong way. It's always consistent. Note: Database inserts, updates and deletes are allowed through stored procedures only.

  • Using property file in hibernate mapping

    - by Zoltan Hamori
    Hi, I have a two nodes environment using the same database. In the database there is a resource table like RESOURCE_ID, CODE, NODE The content of the NODE column can be 1 or 2 depending on which node can use it. As I need to deploy the same ear to the two nodes, I would like to map this table like this: <hibernate-mapping> <class name="ResourceVO" table="RESOURCE" dynamic-update="true" optimistic-lock="dirty" where="NODE=${node.value}" > I would like to store the node.value property on the file system, so the instances could identify which resource to use. Is it possible in hibernate?

  • Fill object data from several tables using hibernate mapping

    - by Udo Fholl
    Hi all, I'd like to know if it is possible to fill up a class data from database using the hibernate hbm (mapping). For instance: public class someClass { List<OtherClass> otherClasses; List<YetAnotherClass> yetAnotherClasses; //Constructors ? class OtherClass { String name; //setters, getters } class YetAnotherClass { String name; //setters, getters } //setters, getters } Using an hbm can I fill in the data from tables OTHER_CLASS_TABLE and YET_ANOTHER_CLASS_TABLE? I have no such SOME_CLASS_TABLE since this info is for viewing only. I've been playing with the <join table=""><subselect> and different constructors... But it is not working Thanks! Sorry for my english!

How do i define in my order map which order property to map against basketId. It seems to default to the primary key. <property name="BasketId" column="Basket_ID" type="Int32"/> <set name="OrderItems" table="item_basket_contents" generic="true" inverse="true" > <key column="Basket_ID" /> <one-to-many class="EStore.Domain.Model.OrderItem, EStore.Domain"/> </set>

  • With NHibernate, how can I add a child object when updating a parent object?

    - by BMZ
    I have a simple Parent/Child relationship between a Person object and an Address object. The Person object exists in the DB. After doing a Get on the Person, I add a new Address object to the Address sub-object list of the parent, and do some other updates to the Person object. Finally, I do an Update on the Person object. With a SQL trace window, I can see the update to the Person object to the Person table and the Insert of the Address record to the Address table. The issue is that, after the update is performed, the AddressId (primary key on the Address object) is still set to 0, which is what it defaults to when you first initialize the Address object. I have verified that when I do an Add, this value is set correctly. Is this a known issue when trying to add sub-objects as part of an NHibernate UPDATE? Sample code and mapping files are below Thanks <hibernate-mapping xmlns="urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2"> <class name="BusinessEntities.Wellness.Person,BusinessEntities.Wellness" table="Person" lazy="true" dynamic-insert="true" dynamic-update="false"> <id name="Personid" column="PersonID" type="int"> <generator class="native" /> </id> <version type="binary" generated="always" name="RecordVersion" column="`RecordVersion`"/> <property type="int" not-null="true" name="Customerid" column="`CustomerID`" /> <property type="AnsiString" not-null="true" length="9" name="Ssn" column="`SSN`" /> <property type="AnsiString" not-null="true" length="30" name="FirstName" column="`FirstName`" /> <property type="AnsiString" not-null="true" length="35" name="LastName" column="`LastName`" /> <property type="AnsiString" length="1" name="MiddleInitial" column="`MiddleInitial`" /> <property type="DateTime" name="DateOfBirth" column="`DateOfBirth`" /> <bag name="PersonAddresses" inverse="true" lazy="true" cascade="all"> <key column="PersonID" /> <one-to-many class="BusinessEntities.Wellness.PersonAddress,BusinessEntities.Wellness" / </bag> </class> </hibernate-mapping> <hibernate-mapping xmlns="urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2"> <class name="BusinessEntities.Wellness.PersonAddress,BusinessEntities.Wellness" table="PersonAddress" lazy="true" dynamic-insert="true" dynamic-update="false"> <id name="PersonAddressId" column="PersonAddressID" type="int"> <generator class="native" /> </id> <version type="binary" generated="always" name="RecordVersion" column="`RecordVersion`" /> <property type="AnsiString" not-null="true" length="1" name="AddressTypeid" column="`AddressTypeID`" /> <property type="AnsiString" not-null="true" length="60" name="AddressLine1" column="`AddressLine1`" /> <property type="AnsiString" length="60" name="AddressLine2" column="`AddressLine2`" /> <property type="AnsiString" length="60" name="City" column="`City`" /> <property type="AnsiString" length="2" name="UsStateId" column="`USStateID`" /> <property type="AnsiString" length="5" name="UsPostalCodeId" column="`USPostalCodeID`" /> <many-to-one name="Person" cascade="none" column="PersonID" /> </class> </hibernate-mapping> Person newPerson = new Person(); newPerson.PersonName = "John Doe"; newPerson.SSN = "111111111"; newPerson.CreatedBy = "RJC"; newPerson.CreatedDate = DateTime.Today; personDao.AddPerson(newPerson); Person updatePerson = personDao.GetPerson(newPerson.PersonId); updatePerson.PersonAddresses = new List<PersonAddress>(); PersonAddress addr = new PersonAddress(); addr.AddressLine1 = "1 Main St"; addr.City = "Boston"; addr.State = "MA"; addr.Zip = "12345"; updatePerson.PersonAddresses.Add(addr); personDao.UpdatePerson(updatePerson); int addressID = updatePerson.PersonAddresses[0].AddressId;

  • Mapping enum to a table with hibernate annotation

    - by Thierry-Dimitri Roy
    I have a table DEAL and a table DEAL_TYPE. I would like to map this code: public class Deal { DealType type; } public enum DealType { BASE("Base"), EXTRA("Extra"); } The problem is that the data already exist in the database. And I'm having a hard time mapping the classes to the database. The database looks something like that: TABLE DEAL { Long id; Long typeId; } TABLE DEAL_TYPE { Long id; String text; } I know I could use a simple @OneToMany relationship from deal to deal type, but I would prefer to use an enum. Is this possible? I almost got it working by using a EnumType.ORDINAL type. But unfortunately, my IDs in my deal type table are not sequential, and do not start at 1. Any suggestions?

  • JPA hibernate OneToOne mapping

    - by Stupidfrog
    enviroment: hibernate 4.1.6.final spring 3.1.2.release spring jpa 1.1.0.release postgresql 9.1-901-1.jdbc4 there is 2 table public A { private Long id; private Long name; } public B { private Long id; private Long table_a_id; } the A.id and B.id is sequential, unique , but no related.(means they are separately id for their own table). how to do mapping? i have tried some method, however the result is not i wanted, because it bind wrong. for example: public A { .... @OneToOne @JoinColumn(name = "id") private B table_b } public B { ... @JsonIgnore @OneToOne(mappedBy = "table_b") private A table_a; } when i query A the result is { "id":5, "table_b":{ "id":5, "table_a_id":4 } } obviously the data join by using their id but not joining using table_a_id. what i expect is { "id":4, "table_b":{ "id":5, "table_a_id":4 } } so can somebody teach me that, how to map this 2 table by using table b table_a_id(foregin key)

    I'm looking for a small, fast (in both directions) bijective mapping between the following list of integers and a subset of the range 0-127: 0x200C, 0x200D, 0x200E, 0x200F, 0x2013, 0x2014, 0x2015, 0x2017, 0x2018, 0x2019, 0x201A, 0x201C, 0x201D, 0x201E, 0x2020, 0x2021, 0x2022, 0x2026, 0x2030, 0x2039, 0x203A, 0x20AA, 0x20AB, 0x20AC, 0x20AF, 0x2116, 0x2122 One obvious solution is: y = x>>2 & 0x40 | x & 0x3f; x = 0x2000 | y<<2 & 0x100 | y & 0x3f; Edit: I was missing some of the values, particularly 0x20Ax, which don't work with the above. Another obvious solution is a lookup table, but without making it unnecessarily large, a lookup table would require some bit rearrangement anyway and I suspect the whole task can be better accomplished with simple bit rearrangement. For the curious, those magic numbers are the only "large" Unicode codepoints that appear in legacy ISO-8859 and Windows codepages.

  • Mapping to a different view based on child type

    - by Ryan Burnham
    So i have a situation where i have common base type but i need to map to a different view based on the child type. It looks like i can use a generic mapping class to handle the inheritance http://geekswithblogs.net/nharrison/archive/2010/07/09/inheriting-a-class-map-in-fluent-nhibernate.aspx But how can i conditionally map to a different view based on the child type? I see an EntityType property but it says its obsolete and will be made private in the next version. As an example i have a base class of ContactInfo is standard between contact types but the values come from different places depending on the contact type, this I'll handle through the sql view.

  • Problems Mapping a List of Serializable Objets with JDO

    - by Sergio del Amo
    I have two classes Invoice and InvoiceItem. I would like Invoice to have a List of InvoiceItem Objets. I have red that the list must be of primitive or serializable objects. I have made InvoiceItem Serializable. Invoice.java looks like import java.util.ArrayList; import java.util.Date; import java.util.List; import javax.jdo.annotations.Column; import javax.jdo.annotations.Embedded; import javax.jdo.annotations.EmbeddedOnly; import javax.jdo.annotations.IdGeneratorStrategy; import javax.jdo.annotations.IdentityType; import javax.jdo.annotations.PersistenceCapable; import com.softamo.pelicamo.shared.InvoiceCompanyDTO; @PersistenceCapable(identityType = IdentityType.APPLICATION) public class Invoice { @PrimaryKey @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY) private Long id; @Persistent private String number; @Persistent private Date date; @Persistent private List<InvoiceItem> items = new ArrayList<InvoiceItem>(); public Invoice() {} public Long getId() { return id; } public void setId(Long id) {this.id = id;} public String getNumber() { return number;} public void setNumber(String invoiceNumber) { this.number = invoiceNumber;} public Date getDate() { return date;} public void setDate(Date invoiceDate) { this.date = invoiceDate;} public List<InvoiceItem> getItems() { return items;} public void setItems(List<InvoiceItem> items) { this.items = items;} } and InvoiceItem.java looks like import java.io.Serializable; import java.math.BigDecimal; import javax.jdo.annotations.PersistenceCapable; import javax.jdo.annotations.Persistent; @PersistenceCapable public class InvoiceItem implements Serializable { @Persistent private BigDecimal amount; @Persistent private float quantity; public InvoiceItem() {} public BigDecimal getAmount() { return amount;} public void setAmount(BigDecimal amount) { this.amount = amount;} public float getQuantity() { return quantity;} public void setQuantity(float quantity) { this.quantity = quantity;} } I get the next error while running a JUnit test. javax.jdo.JDOUserException: Attempt to handle persistence for object using datastore-identity yet StoreManager for this datastore doesn't support store an invoice with a list of items through my app. In the development console I can see that items are not persisted to any field while the rest of the invoice class properties are stored properly. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Solution As pointed in the answers, the error says that the InvoiceItem class was missing a primaryKey. I tried with: @PrimaryKey @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY) private Long id; But I was getting javax.jdo.JDOFatalUserException: Error in meta-data for InvoiceItem.id: Cannot have a java.lang.Long primary key and be a child object (owning field is Invoice.items). In persist list of objets, @aldrin pointed that For child classes the primary key has to be a com.google.appengine.api.datastore.Key value (or encoded as a string) see So, I tried with Key. It worked. @PrimaryKey @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY) private Key id;

  • Merging .net object graph

    - by Tiju John
    Hi guys, has anyone come across any scenario wherein you needed to merge one object with another object of same type, merging the complete object graph. for e.g. If i have a person object and one person object is having first name and other the last name, some way to merge both the objects into a single object. public class Person { public Int32 Id { get; set; } public string FirstName { get; set; } public string LastName { get; set; } } public class MyClass { //both instances refer to the same person, probably coming from different sources Person obj1 = new Person(); obj1.Id=1; obj1.FirstName = "Tiju"; Person obj2 = new Person(); ojb2.Id=1; obj2.LastName = "John"; //some way of merging both the object obj1.MergeObject(obj2); //?? //obj1.Id // = 1 //obj1.FirstName // = "Tiju" //obj1.LastName // = "John" } I had come across such type of requirement and I wrote an extension method to do the same. public static class ExtensionMethods { private const string Key = "Id"; public static IList MergeList(this IList source, IList target) { Dictionary itemData = new Dictionary(); //fill the dictionary for existing list string temp = null; foreach (object item in source) { temp = GetKeyOfRecord(item); if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(temp)) itemData[temp] = item; } //if the same id exists, merge the object, otherwise add to the existing list. foreach (object item in target) { temp = GetKeyOfRecord(item); if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(temp) && itemData.ContainsKey(temp)) itemData[temp].MergeObject(item); else source.Add(item); } return source; } private static string GetKeyOfRecord(object o) { string keyValue = null; Type pointType = o.GetType(); if (pointType != null) foreach (PropertyInfo propertyItem in pointType.GetProperties()) { if (propertyItem.Name == Key) { keyValue = (string)propertyItem.GetValue(o, null); } } return keyValue; } public static object MergeObject(this object source, object target) { if (source != null && target != null) { Type typeSource = source.GetType(); Type typeTarget = target.GetType(); //if both types are same, try to merge if (typeSource != null && typeTarget != null && typeSource.FullName == typeTarget.FullName) if (typeSource.IsClass && !typeSource.Namespace.Equals("System", StringComparison.InvariantCulture)) { PropertyInfo[] propertyList = typeSource.GetProperties(); for (int index = 0; index < propertyList.Length; index++) { Type tempPropertySourceValueType = null; object tempPropertySourceValue = null; Type tempPropertyTargetValueType = null; object tempPropertyTargetValue = null; //get rid of indexers if (propertyList[index].GetIndexParameters().Length == 0) { tempPropertySourceValue = propertyList[index].GetValue(source, null); tempPropertyTargetValue = propertyList[index].GetValue(target, null); } if (tempPropertySourceValue != null) tempPropertySourceValueType = tempPropertySourceValue.GetType(); if (tempPropertyTargetValue != null) tempPropertyTargetValueType = tempPropertyTargetValue.GetType(); //if the property is a list IList ilistSource = tempPropertySourceValue as IList; IList ilistTarget = tempPropertyTargetValue as IList; if (ilistSource != null || ilistTarget != null) { if (ilistSource != null) ilistSource.MergeList(ilistTarget); else propertyList[index].SetValue(source, ilistTarget, null); } //if the property is a Dto else if (tempPropertySourceValue != null || tempPropertyTargetValue != null) { if (tempPropertySourceValue != null) tempPropertySourceValue.MergeObject(tempPropertyTargetValue); else propertyList[index].SetValue(source, tempPropertyTargetValue, null); } } } } return source; } } However, this works when the source property is null, if target has it, it will copy that to source. IT can still be improved to merge when inconsistencies are there e.g. if FirstName="Tiju" and FirstName="John" Any commments appreciated. Thanks TJ

  • Mapping interface or abstract class component

    - by Yann Trevin
    Please consider the following simple use case: public class Foo { public virtual int Id { get; protected set; } public virtual IBar Bar { get; set; } } public interface IBar { string Text { get; set; } } public class Bar : IBar { public virtual string Text { get; set; } } And the fluent-nhibernate map class: public class FooMap : ClassMap<Foo> { public FooMap() { Id(x => x.Id); Component(x => x.Bar, m => { m.Map(x => x.Text); }); } } While running any query with configuration, I get the following exception: NHibernate.InstantiationException: "Cannot instantiate abstract class or interface: NHMappingTest.IBar" It seems that NHibernate tries to instantiate an IBar object instead of the Bar concrete class. How to let Fluent-NHibernate know which concrete class to instantiate when the property returns an interface or an abstract base class? EDIT: Explicitly specify the type of component by writing Component<Bar> (as suggested by Sly) has no effect and causes the same exception to occur. EDIT2: Thanks to vedklyv and Paul Batum: such a mapping should be soon is now possible.
