    I'm trying to add a context (right click) menu to a Qt QListView. I see in Qt 3.3 there is "contextMenuRequested" (which I could use) - http://doc.trolltech.com/3.3/qlistview.html#contextMenuRequested. However, I can't see such a method in Qt4. Does anyone know how to add a context menu to a QListView?

  • Compatibility between Qt and Boost sockets libraries

    Hello In my work, I'm developing a Viewer client for a Offshore simulation server, using sockets to send the simulation data from the Simulator to de Viewer. But, the server uses Boost.asio as it's sockets library. As the client uses Qt for it's GUI, I was wondering if there is any problem in using de Qt Networking library for handling the sockets.     Hopefully I can articulate this well: I'm porting an application I made years ago from VB6 (I know, I know!) to C++/Qt. In my original application, one thing I liked was that I didn't need an actual SQL server running, I could just use MS Access .mdb files. I was wondering if something similar exists for Qt that will work on multiple OSes - a database stored in a file, pretty much, but that I can still run SQL queries with. Not sure if something like this exists or not, but any help appreciated, thanks!

    I have a Qt exe built from visual studio 2005(after taking the .cpp, .h, .moc, ui_ files) I have done some simple QSqlite queries. It works fine in my development pc. But in another pc it crashes for the line below: QSqlDatabase mSqlDb How to run the exe so that it can interact with sqlite from another pc. [Any other gui application runs just fine.] So which things are necessary to deploy a sqlite-qt application ?

    I want to use a field (kind of QTextEdit), which is capabale of storing picture and text (like MS Word is doing) and it serializes and deserialaizes picture+text data. Is there any Qt Widget that allows us to manipulate with picture and text simultaniously and it has set/get functions which operate with serializable type? In othger words, I want to know if there exsists any Qt widget that can store picture+text and has "get" types of function that returns the content of that widgets editable area, which is a Type that could be serialized with QDataStream.

    In Qt, how do I take a screenshot of a specific window (i.e. suppose I had Notepad up and I wanted to take a screenshot of the window titled "Untitled - Notepad")? In their screenshot example code, they show how to take a screenshot of the entire desktop: originalPixmap = QPixmap::grabWindow(QApplication::desktop()->winId()); How would I get the winId() for a specific window (assuming I knew the window's title) in Qt?
