  • Cannot logon to POP server on my VPS or recieve emails

    I recently purchased an unmanaged VPS to host my business websites, however I am struggling to get the email accounts working as I have only ever had experience with shared hosting. The VPS is running CentOS and I have Webmin/Virtualmin installed. I have added my domain, which is lyke.org.uk, and that is working OK. However, when I've added a user and tried to access their email account using Apple Mail, I've been able to establish a SMTP connection but I've not been able to login using POP. Furthermore, I've set up squirrelmail and I can send an email to any email address from there but I haven't recieved any that I have sent to that email address from other accounts. I would very much appreciate any help or suggestions as I am completely new to VPS and web hosting without Plesk or cPanel.

  • PHP Library to read incoming emails (e.g email piping) [on hold]

    I'm looking for an existing PHP library that can basically read a pop3 or smpt account, or accept piped mail and then read it, giving you the option to store it, or simply 'play with it' in PHP. I've been looking around for something but I have yet to see any sort of library that can be used for this. Has anyone here had any experience doing this, and are there any libraries available that can handle incoming mail? Thanks

    I would like for User-agents to index my relative pages only without accessing any directory on my server. As initial thought, i had this version in mind: User-agent: * Disallow: */* Sitemap: http://www.mydomain.com/sitemap.xml My Questions: Is it correct to block all directories like that - Disallow: */*?     I am hosting collection of videos, for which I retain the copyright, on a file server that I'd like to share with family and friends. When a user visits the my fileserver via a web browser they are asked to authenticate using HTTP auth and then they are presented with a basic list of the files. I'd like to build web application that provides a clean interface with simply library functionality. However, this app will be hosted on a different server. I'm trying to figure out a security model for my file server that doesn't require the user to login to both the file-server and the hosting-server. I want to make this as easy as possible for my non-tech savy family while still maintaining security for my files.
