  • .gitignore does not understand my folder wildcard on windows

    I'm encountering a weird issue with .gitignore on Windows. I want git to ignore all .exe files, except those in the Dependencies folder (and all subfolders). So I have: .gitignore: *.exe !/Dependencies/**/*.exe This, unfortunately, does not work. Meanwhile, this does: *.exe !/Dependencies/folder/subfolder/*.exe So I'm wondering, am I messing something up, or is this some kind of bug? I'm running msysgit on Windows (Windows 7 x64) version 1.6.5.1-preview20091022 Thanks in advance for any input :)

  • C# Putting the required DLLs somewhere other than the root of the output

    I am using EmguCV for a project and when our program runs it needs some dlls like "cxcore.dll" etc. (or it throws runtime exceptions). At the moment, I put the files in the root of the output folder (selected "Copy Always" in the file's properties in Visual Studio). However it looks a bit messy, to have about 10 different dlls just there. Is there someway where I can move it to a subfolder in the output folder and it'll still find it.

    My host will not allow me to change the default folder of my primary domain. I have managed to Rewrite http://www.mysite.com to the real folder public_html/mysite.com/www/ with the following code: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^$ /mysite.com/www/ [R=301,L] This does successfully load my domain from the subfolder, but the url becomes: http://mysite.com/mysite.com/www/ How can I continue loading requests from http://mysite.com/index.html in the correct folder shown above, without showing it in the client-side url?

Is there a command that I can run from just one upper level folder that will include all the files in the subfolders?

In my project file (.csproj) I have added a string: <UICulture>en-US</UICulture> Now the problem is - when I compile the default localization (en-US folder) is always put to the root of $(OutDir) of the project. Question: how do I move this directory into a subfolder (say, $(OutDir)localized\en-US)?

  • Checking if subfolders exist linux

    I'm trying to check if a folder has any subfolders without iterating through its children, in Linux. The closest I've found so far is using ftw and stopping at the first subfolder - or using scandir and filtering through the results. Both, are, however, an overkill for my purposes, I simply want a yes/no. On Windows, this is done by calling SHGetFileInfo and then testing dwAttributes & SFGAO_HASSUBFOLDER on the returned structure. Is there such an option on Linux?

Is there any declarative way to exclude that folder from the compile temporarily while I test the refactoring thus far?   • How to collect the new "Applications and Services Logs" found on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 us

    In Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 there are new Events categorized under "Applications and Services Logs". There is also a subfolder called Microsoft which has tons of subfolders as well. Is there any way to collect these events through WMI? For the regular "Windows Logs" such as Application and Security, it is possible to use the Win32_NTLogEvent WMI class in the cimv2 namespace. However, this class does not provide access to the new Microsoft event logs. Any ideas?

    Consider multiple domains (with different country extensions) that go to one singe physical website. Depending on the country extension of the domain, I want to route to a specific subfolder while keeping the active domain!     Does anyone have a handy powershell script that gets a set of files from TFS based on a modification date? I'd like to say "give me all the files in this folder (or subfolder) that were modified after X/Y/ZZZZ" and dump those files to a folder other than the folder they would normally go to. I know enough powershell to hack about and get this done, eventually, but I'm hoping to avoid that.

    Normally one would have a webroot that looks like this: /www/ | +--index.php | +-- js/ | | | +-- xyz.js | +-- css/ | | | +--xyz.css | +---etc..... With my setup, it is going to be most beneficial for me to move everything into a common subfolder, leaving the index.php of the Cake app in the root. I.e: /www/ | +--index.php | | +-- resources | +-- js/ | | | +-- xyz.js | +-- css/ | | | +--xyz.css | +---etc..... What is my .htaccess going to look like? Thanks!

  • visual studio qt5 plugins not working on release

    I'm got this project where i'm showing images with a qt5 interface, i'm simply setting the Pixmap of a label with the qimage pixmap The thing is, it's working on a debug build, but not on a release build and i dont understand why. I already got a folder in my .Exe folder named "plugins" and a subfolder in it named "imageformats", and in this folder the file named "qjpeg.dll" So i coming here to see if someone has an idea on why it doesn't work ?     On Win32 I'm getting intermittent output like this at page header: order allow,deny deny from allorder allow,deny deny from all I'm running php script which has number of .htaccess files in each subfolder. I need to understand why sometimes apache is just dumping me a content of this files. So just wondering if there is any way to enable debug log. I've tried ErrorLog "e:/wamp/logs/apache_error.log" LogLevel debug However can't see any debug output neither in error nor in access logs. Thanks
