  I have a single lookup table that manages all lookups - legacy and new lookup table structure is context,name, code, value context is either legacy or new name is the name of the lookup - state, status etc...for example code is the code and value is the value associated with the code Is there a way to specify multiple columns as discriminators so that I can get all legacy state code/values or all new status code/values.   I get this error when compiling: forrtl: severe (256): unformatted I/O to unit open for formatted transfers, unit 27, file C:\Abaqus_JOBS\w.txt The error occurs in the beginning of the analysis. At the start, the file w.txt is created but is empty. The error may be related to the fact that I want to read from an empty file.   I'm using two tables. First (friendlist), which contains users who are on the list of friends and the other table (members) that contains the basic data of the users. Friendlist looks like: id | myid | date | user ----------------------------------------- 001 | 50624 | 2010-01-01 | 32009 002 | 41009 | 2010-05-05 | 50624 003 | 50624 | 2010-03-02 | 23007 The column "myid" contains members who added other users (those from column "user") to their frindlist. I want to get the list of all users that I have added to list and those who add me to their friendlist. In this example, if my id is 50624, the list would look like: | allfriends | --------------- 32009 41009 23007 Then I need to check all users from "allfriend" list with data from the table "members". I want to get only the users with status 1. The members table looks like: id | status | photo -------------------------------- 32009 | 0 | 1.jpg 41009 | 1 | 2.jpg 23007 | 1 | 3.jpg How this mysql query should look like? Thanks for any help.

• How to exclude results with get_object_or_404?

  In Django you can use the exclude to create SQL similar to not equal. An example could be. Model.objects.exclude(status='deleted') Now this works great and exclude is very flexible. Since I'm a bit lazy, I would like to get that functionality when using get_object_or_404, but I haven't found a way to do this, since you cannot use exclude on get_object_or_404. What I want is to do something like this: model = get_object_or_404(pk=id, status__exclude='deleted') But unfortunately this doesn't work as there isn't an exclude query filter or similar. The best I've come up with so far is doing something like this: object = get_object_or_404(pk=id) if object.status == 'deleted': return HttpResponseNotfound('text') Doing something like that, really defeats the point of using get_object_or_404, since it no longer is a handy one-liner. Alternatively I could do: object = get_object_or_404(pk=id, status__in=['list', 'of', 'items']) But that wouldn't be very maintainable, as I would need to keep the list up to date. I'm wondering if I'm missing some trick or feature in django to use get_object_or_404 to get the desired result?

• Winforms StatusStrip - why are there periods where it is blank when I'm updating it???

  Hi, BACKGROUND: I have a WindowForms v3.5 application with a StatusStrip set to be used as a TooStripStatusLabel. I'm issues quite a lot of updates to it during a task that is running, however there are noticable periods where it is BLANK. There are no points when I am writing a blank to the status strip label either. QUESTION: Any ideas why I would be seeing period where the status strip label is blank, when I don't expect it to be?   I wrote a signal handler to catch FPE errors. I need to continue execution even if this happens. I receive a ucontext_t as parameter, I can change the bad operand from 0 to another value but the FPU context is still bad and I run into an infinite loop ? Does someone already manupulate the ucontext_t structure on Linux ? I finally found a way to handle these situations by clearing the status flag of ucontext_t like this: ... const long int cFPUStatusFlag = 0x3F; aContext->uc_mcontext.fpregs->sw &= ~cFPUStatusFlag; ... 0x3F is negated to put 0 in the 6 bits of the status register of the FPU (x87). Doing this implies to check for FPE exceptions after calculation.

  I have this Query: SELECT p.ProductName, dt.MaxTimeStamp, p.Responsible FROM Product p LEFT JOIN (SELECT ProductID, MAX(TimeStamp) AS MaxTimeStamp FROM StateLog WHERE State = 0 GROUP BY ProductID, Status) dt ON p.ProductID = dt.ProductID ORDER BY p.ProductName; It works like it should, but now I need to SELECT "State" out too. The tricky part is, that I only want the lastest "TimeStamp" where "State" was false. But now I also need the "State" for the lastest "TimeStamp". I tried this: SELECT p.ProductName, dt.State, dt.MaxTimeStamp, p.Responsible FROM Product p LEFT JOIN (SELECT ProductID, MAX(TimeStamp) AS MaxTimeStamp, State FROM StateLog WHERE State = 0 GROUP BY ProductID, Status) dt ON p.ProductID =dt.ProductID ORDER BY p.ProductName; But it didn't work, because it gave me the "State" for the lastest "TimeStamp". So I hope there is some clever heads out there that can help me. I'm guessing that this is either very simple or very hard to solve.

• ASP.NET Long Process and Sending updates to Browser

  Hello, I've asked this before but I was hoping for another answer and perhaps some code samples because I've been having a difficult time with this. I have an asp.net page. The user hits the "Run" button and I have code IN AN ASSEMBLY, not in the APP_CODE folder that is called and runs a long process that moves product info from a file into the database. While the user waits, I would like them to see status updates like what product the import process in on and status info. I'm assuming I'd break off into another thread and use Ajax but I have no idea how to do this. Some code samples would be very helpful, thanks.

• JQuery JEditable stay in edit mode on error

  I'm successfully using jeditable to submit via a function using jQuery.ajax and the async : false option , but am having an issue aborting if an error is returned. How can I get the edit box to stay activated and / or revert back to the original value if there are errors? I'm returning http status codes. so something like async : false .ajax submit here... if (xhr.status == 200) { return value; else { alert ('returned error'); // keep edit box activated but available for another try, or revert back to original value } I tried not returning a value from the function, which keeps the edit box activated and ready for another submit, but then the ESC key doesn't work anymore and if I click outside the edit area, the edit box stays. For example I want to get this url: /users/1/videos/2?status=done but I am confused how to realize this while I am using [a.user, a] instead of user_videos_path(video, :status => 'done'). But I can't use last, because it can be either videos, or images or anything else

• Windows azure deployment

  I just built a simple hello world windows azure service containing just one web role, I used visual studio 2008 and Windows azure tools for VS 1.2 I am pretty new to this and I have been trying to deploy an application all afternoon now. I'm in australia and deploying in the region Asia anywhere. I have pretty much followed the info provided on MSDN and it says uploaded 95% then after about ten minutes the deployment disappears. I have tried using the old windows azure developer portal and 30minutes later I can not access the service and it's status is either busy or stopped. I have the introductory offer for an extra small compute instance on the subscription I am deploying to. Can anyone with experience with windows azure elaborate on the subject of deploying apps and the status on my application, I am very keen to get into the platform and this issue has just about spoiled my weekend.

  Hello, I am writing an web app which needs to subscribe to multiple channels via javascript. I am using Atmosphere and Jersey as backend. However the jQuery plugin they work with only supports 1 channel. I've start buidling my own implementation. Now it works oke, but when i try to subscribe to 2 channels only 1 channel gets notified. Is the XMLHttpRequest blocking the rest of the XMLHttpRequests? • Check through Javascript that page is loading something

  When the browser is loading something on a page you can see it in the status bar that it says "Waiting for..." or "Transfering..." etc. In firebug you can check in the net tab when something is being loaded and see when it stops. That is what I want. Is there a way for me to trigger an event when that happens ? Or to get the status of the page or something ? Any way for me to know when that changes ? I know I can do this easier if I use Ajax, but I can't since the page it's expecting an Excel report. Thanks
