• .htaccess redirect working on localhost but not on server

  I want users who hit my web site's root directory to be sent to a subdirectory. So anyone going to: http://MyDomain.com or /index.php would be sent to http://MyDomain.com/subdir I used the .htaccess file to successfully do this on my local machine (with Apache 2). But it doesn't work on the server? Users still see the default index.php in the root directory. Here is my simple .htaccess file. Any ideas?   I have two mysql queries: $sql = "SELECT * FROM content WHERE threadName LIKE '%$filter%' ORDER BY lastUpdated desc"; and $sql = "SELECT * FROM content ORDER BY lastUpdated desc"; The end result is to have all rows returned from a particular table 'content' but have those that match the variable $filter at the top. Is there either a single query that could combine these two or should I be using a JOIN?

  I have several CA1704:IdentifiersShouldBeSpelledCorrectly warnings that I want to suppress. Basically they refer to the company name which is deemed to be spelled incorrectly. The company name is part of several namespaces in my project, and in order to suppress all the warnings I need to add a lot of suppressions to the GlobalSuppressions file. Is there any way to suppress all warning in a single line in order to aviod my GlobalSuppressions file to become overly cluttered?

  Guys, I have a set of tables (say Account, Customer) in a schema (say dbo) and I have some other tables (say Order, OrderItem) in another schema (say inventory). There's a relationship between the Order table and the Customer table. I want to delete all the relationships between the tables in the first schema (dbo) and the tables in the second schema (inventory), without deleting the relationships between tables inside the same schema. Is that possible? Any help appreciated.

In this link I need a way to set a unique value (for example bookingId) that I can use to add the receipt number to the correct booking via PayPal's payment notification feature.   Hi, I'm using Views module and an exposed taxonomy based filter, to allow users to select a subselection of articles. I need to further customize my filter: 1) I want the user able to order the tags alphabetically by clicking a checkbox (if this checkbox is unchecked the default order is reset. 2) I want all tags selected in the beginning to show my user all the articles. (Additional tags can be added by the user later, so I cannot just select all the tags in Views settings, because the new ones would be uncovered). thanks

  I'm using full text search to pull rows. I order the rows based on score (ORDER BY SCORE) , then of the top 20 rows (LIMIT 20), I want to rand (RAND) the result set. So for any specific search term, I want to randomly show 5 of the top 20 results. My workaround is code based- where I put the top 20 into an array then randomly select 5. Is there sql way to do this?

This behaviour is observed only in case of a ManyTomany mapped relationships. Since I would also like audit the packageproduct deletion, its kind of an annoyance when the event listener aren't able to capture the delete event. Any information about it would be greatly appreciated.

  Hello everyone, I have implemented FIFO semaphores but now I need a way to test/prove that they are working properly. A simple test would be to create some threads that try to wait on a semaphore and then print a message with a number and if the numbers are in order it should be FIFO, but this is not good enough to prove it because that order could have occurred by chance. Thus, I need a better way of testing it. If necessary locks or condition variables can be used too. Thanks

  Sorry about the title, I couldn't think of a better way to describe the problem. Basically, I'm trying to implement a collision system in a game. I want to be able to register a "collision handler" that handles any collision of two objects (given in either order) that can be cast to particular types. So if Player : Ship : Entity and Laser : Particle : Entity, and handlers for (Ship, Particle) and (Laser, Entity) are registered than for a collision of (Laser, Player), both handlers should be notified, with the arguments in the correct order, and a collision of (Laser, Laser) should notify only the second handler. A code snippet says a thousand words, so here's what I'm doing right now (naieve method): public IObservable<Collision<T1, T2>> onCollisionsOf<T1, T2>() where T1 : Entity where T2 : Entity { Type t1 = typeof(T1); Type t2 = typeof(T2); Subject<Collision<T1, T2>> obs = new Subject<Collision<T1, T2>>(); _onCollisionInternal += delegate(Entity obj1, Entity obj2) { if (t1.IsAssignableFrom(obj1.GetType()) && t2.IsAssignableFrom(obj2.GetType())) obs.OnNext(new Collision<T1, T2>((T1) obj1, (T2) obj2)); else if (t1.IsAssignableFrom(obj2.GetType()) && t2.IsAssignableFrom(obj1.GetType())) obs.OnNext(new Collision<T1, T2>((T1) obj2, (T2) obj1)); }; return obs; } However, this method is quite slow (measurable; I lost ~2 FPS after implementing this), so I'm looking for a way to shave a couple cycles/allocation off this. I thought about (as in, spent an hour implementing then slammed my head against a wall for being such an idiot) a method that put the types in an order based on their hash code, then put them into a dictionary, with each entry being a linked list of handlers for pairs of that type with a boolean indication whether the handler wanted the order of arguments reversed. Unfortunately, this doesn't work for derived types, since if a derived type is passed in, it won't notify a subscriber for the base type. Can anyone think of a way better than checking every type pair (twice) to see if it matches? Thanks, Robert

As my View is bound to the BillingViewModel which has a Property Customers of type ObservableCollection and ONE customer in this collection has a "list" of orders named ObservableCollection and ONE order in this collection has a "list" of products named ObservableCollection Well I need the ObservableCollection`s for databinding but should a domain model really have a ObservableCollection ? normally it has a List or IEnumerable ! Is this bad habit or having side effects?
