    Hi, I'm doing the first chapter exercises on my Java book and I have been stuck for a problem for a while now. I'll print the question, prompt/read a double value representing a monetary amount. Then determine the fewest number of each bill and coin needed to represent that amount, starting with the highest (assume that a ten dollar bill is the maximum size needed). For example, if the value entered is 47,63 (forty-seven dollars and sixty-three cents), and the program should print the equivalent amount as: 4 ten dollar bills 1 five dollar bills 2 one dollar bills 2 quarters 1 dimes 0 nickels 3 pennies" etc. I'm doing an example exactly as they said in order to get an idea, as you will see in the code. Nevertheless, I managed to print 4 dollars, and I can't figure out how to get "1 five dollar", only 7 dollars (see code). Please, don't do the whole code for me. I just need some advice in regards to what I said. If I remove the background section from the css and add background-color:#000000; then I see a black background for the container div. What am I overlooking?

Update I get HOSTNAME and SSH_PASSWORD. I never log in on that machine before. I need to send some files (probably using scp) and then log in using ssh and work on that HOST interactively.     I made the following test for my class: var mock = new Mock<IRandomNumberGenerator>(); mock.Setup(framework => framework.Generate(0, 50)) .Returns(7.0); var rnac = new RandomNumberAverageCounter(mock.Object, 1, 100); rnac.Run(); double result = rnac.GetAverage(); Assert.AreEqual(result, 7.0, 0.1); The problem here was that I changed my mind about what range of values Generate(int min, int max) would use. So in Mock.Setup() I defined the range as from 0 to 50 while later I actually called the Generate() method with a range from 1 to 100. I ran the test and it failed. I know that that is what it's supposed to happen but I was left wondering if isn't there a way to launch an exception or throw in a message when trying to run the method with wrong params. Also, if I want to run this Generate() method 10 times with different values (let's say, from 1 to 10), will I have to make 10 mock setups or something, or is there a special method for it?   • Basic iphone timer example

    Okay, I have searched online and even looked in a couple of books for the answer because I can't understand the apple documentation for the NSTimer. I am trying to implement 2 timers on the same view that each have 3 buttons (START - STOP - RESET). The first timer counts down from 2 minutes and then beeps. The second timer counts up from 00:00 indefinitely. I am assuming that all of the code will be written in the methods behind the 3 different buttons but I am completely lost trying to read the apple documentation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have a user document which has a group field. This field is an array of group ids. I would like to write a view that returns (groupid as key) - (array of user docs as val).     Alright I'm currently lost on a particular assignment I have for a class. I've seen many examples of this app but none of them see to help my problem is as follows: Write a Sub procedure "DisplaySquare" to display the solid square. The size should be specified by the integer parameter "size". The character that fills the square should be specified by the string parameter "fillCharacter. Use a For...Next statement nested within another For...Next statement to create the square. The outer For...Next specifies what row is currently being displayed. The inner For...Next appends all the characters that form the row to a display string. So it should come out like as follows: if a user enters "8" and "#" ######## ######## ######## ######## ######## ######## ######## ######## Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hibernate HQL to basic SQL (no joins)

    Hello everybody, I working on a project with Hibernate and we need to replace Hibernate with some "home made persistence" stuff. The idea is that the project is big enough, and we have many HQL queries. The problem is with the queries like select a,b from table1, table2 on t1.table1=t2.table2 Basically all joins are not supported by our "hand made persistence" stuff. What I would need, is to be able to do some sort of transcoder, which will take as a input the HQL queries and output some SQL, but SQL without joins I hope you get the idea. My persistence layer does not supports joins. Does anybody has any idea about something like that? Some framework, or something? Thanks alot everybody. C.C.

    I found this code that replaces a string in a text file. But, I am trying to make it so that it replaces several strings in a text file. My.Computer.FileSystem.WriteAllText("C:\windows\PrinterList2.txt", My.Computer.FileSystem.ReadAllText("C:\windows\PrinterList.txt").Replace("IT", "ADM-IT"), False) For example, I need it to replace "IT" with "ADM-IT" and "AR" with "ADM-AR" and possibly a hundred or so more. How can I get it to loop to do them all? Running this line of code over and over just overwrites the file with the last item for replacement. Thanks in advance.

  • Basic Ajax Cache Issue

    I have a single page that I need to on occasion asynchronously check the server to see if the status of the page is current (basically, Live or Offline). You will see I have a function with a var live that is set when the page initially loads. I then do an ajax request to the server to retrieve whether the status of live is true or false. I compare the initial live variable with the newly returned data json object. If they're the same I do nothing, but if there different I apply some css classes. I recursively run it with setTimeout (Is there a better way to recursively do this?). My Problem: data.live doesn't change from it's initial time it runs even when it has changed in the db. I know my mysql is working because it returs the right value on the initial load. It seems like a caching issue.   • Solr authentication possible? (or apache port authentication would also work)

    Currently anybody can access the solr admin page by going to my_ip:8983/solr I can't have it like that, so how can I make it prompt for password or something? I have setup my servers apache2.conf file to prompt for password whenever my site is accessed by www.mydomain.com. But when using another port, the "require password" wont show up. Any ideas how to secure this? Don't point me to the SolrSecurity wiki because it's simply too outdated. I have tried it without luck. Thanks

    I'm trying to set up a test project looking like my own project just to get things working first and it looks like this: /MainProject/inc/main.h /MainProject/src/main.cpp /LibProject/inc/test.h /LibProject/src/test.cpp I've found some tutorials, but I cant find out how to set up this when I have the inc and src folder? How would the CMakeLists.txt files look? Would I have one in /, one in each of the project folders? It seems like I dont need to have one in the inc and src folders?

    I have searched high and low for documentation on how to use this feature. While the loop I could write would be simple and take no time, I really would like to learn how to use this. Basically I have a class, say, Widget, with a Save() sub that returns nothing. So: Dim w as New Widget() w.Save() basically saves the widget. Now let's say I have a generic collection List(Of Widget) name widgetList(Of Widget) and I want to run a Save() on each item in that list. It says I can do a widgetList.ForEach([enter Action(Of T) here]) ....but how in the F does this work??? There is no documentation anywhere on the intrablags. Help would be much much appreciated.

  • Spring Security RememberMe Services with Session Cookie

    I am using Spring Security's RememberMe Services to keep a user authenticated. I would like to find a simple way to have the RememberMe cookie set as a session cookie rather than with a fixed expiration time. For my application, the cookie should persist until the user closes the browser. Any suggestions on how to best implement this? Any concerns on this being a potential security problem? The primary reason for doing so is that with a cookie-based token, any of the servers behind our load balancer can service a protected request without relying on the user's Authentication to be stored in an HttpSession. In fact, I have explicitly told Spring Security to never create sessions using the namespace. Further, we are using Amazon's Elastic Load Balancing, and so sticky sessions are not supported. NB: Although I am aware that as of Apr. 08, Amazon now supports sticky sessions, I still do not want to use them for a handful of other reasons.   • Authenticating Windows 7 against MIT Kerberos 5

    Hi There, I've been wracking my brains trying to get Windows 7 authenticating against a MIT Kerberos 5 Realm (which is running on an Arch Linux server). I've done the following on the server (aka dc1): Installed and configured a NTP time server Installed and configured DHCP and DNS (setup for the domain tnet.loc) Installed Kerberos from source Setup the database Configured the keytab Setup the ACL file with: *@TNET.LOC * Added a policy for my user and my machine: addpol users addpol admin addpol hosts ank -policy users [email protected] ank -policy admin tom/[email protected] ank -policy hosts host/wdesk3.tnet.loc -pw MYPASSWORDHERE I then did the following to the windows 7 client (aka wdesk3): Made sure the ip address was supplied by my DHCP server and dc1.tnet.loc pings ok Set the internet time server to my linux server (aka dc1.tnet.loc) Used ksetup to configure the realm: ksetup /SetRealm TNET.LOC ksetup /AddKdc dc1.tnet.loc ksetip /SetComputerPassword MYPASSWORDHERE ksetip /MapUser * * After some googl-ing I found that DES encryption was disabled by Windows 7 by default and I turned the policy on to support DES encryption over Kerberos Then I rebooted the windows client However after doing all that I still cannot login from my Windows client. :( Looking at the logs on the server; the request looks fine and everything works great, I think the issue is that the response from the KDC is not recognized by the Windows Client and a generic login error appears: "Login Failure: User name or password is invalid". The log file for the server looks like this (I tail'ed this so I know it's happening when the Windows machine attempts the login): If I supply an invalid realm in the login window I get a completely different error message, so I don't think it's a connection problem from the client to the server? But I can't find any error logs on the Windows machine? (anyone know where these are?) If I try: runas /netonly /user:[email protected] cmd.exe everything works (although I don't get anything appear in the server logs, so I'm wondering if it's not touching the server for this??), but if I run: runas /user:[email protected] cmd.exe I get the same authentication error. Any Kerberos Gurus out there who can give me some ideas as to what to try next? pretty please?
