  I'm having trouble with this reg expression which i belive is correct, but it is not working. What im trying to do is redirect bunch of urls containing a specific string like this: http://www.example.com/**undesired-string**_another-string to http://www.example.com/**new-string**_another-string and http://www.example.com/folder/**undesired-string**/another-string to http://www.example.com/folder/**new-string**/another-string So i have this code in the .htaccess: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule (.+)+(undesired-string)+(.+) $1new-string$2 [R=301,L] </IfModule> This should replace ANY undesired-string in any url to new-string, but it is not working, any idea why ?   I am trying to scrape www.weather.bm. I want all 10 radar images, but I can only get one (the image updates regularly) and it's not a absolute image url. I was hoping I could use the image as a image slideshow like the link but dont know how. Also, how can I remove images/Radarlegend.png? I just need the radar images.   I have a thread pool that loops over a bunch of pages and checks to see if some string is there or not.   Say I have some highly-visited front-page, which displays number of some items by categories. When some item is added / deleted I need to invalidate this front-page/url and some 2 others. What is the best practice how to invalidate those urls from backend in Varnish (4.x)? From what I captured, I can: implement my HTTP PURGE handler in VCL configuration file, that "bans" urls matching received regex from backend to Varnish, send 3x HTTP PURGE requests for those 3 urls. But is this approach safe for this automatic usage? Basicly I need to invalidate some views everytime some related entity is inserted/updated/deleted. Can it lead to ban list cumulation and increasing CPU consumption? Is there any other approach? Thanks.

• How to call javascript function when url variable is sent

  Hello, heres basically what I need to get done. I have a jsp page which allows me to add/modify/delete an item. The items are stored in a database which I have controller classes to access(dont worry bout that part) When an item gets selected and deleted the id of the item gets sent to the controller to be processed. The item will not always be deleted if their is a foreign key constraint so I send either a delete=true or delete=false through url back to the jsp page. I would like to have it so a javascript function gets called displaying an alert saying the item was deleted or the item was not deleted. can someone please tell me the best way to do this? thank you

  I've been using this method for a few weeks now as suggested on my previous question and the app now keeps crashing with a Protocol 443 error - something about unable to resolve the address. Worked fine when first installed and then just stopped. The same with on the device itself, worked fine until this morning and now the same issue?? Nothing wrong with the URL as I can still load in a browser. If I leave it for a couple of days it starts working again?? Is there a more effecient way of using the Http POST and GET functions? All I am trying to do is perform a login and save the resulting page to a string. Is there a more Android friendly way?

  I have a PHP array with some predefined values: $aArray = array( 0 => 'value0', 1 => 'value1' ); I need to create a function where the string input will always return the same, valid, array key so that when I call: GiveMeAKey('http://www.google.com'); // May return 0 or 1 I receive always the same key (I don't care which one) from the array. Obvisously I can't store the relationship in a database and the string passed to the GiveMeAKey method can be any URL. I wonder if there is a way of doing that ?

• Google Chrome window.open height includes URL bar

  When we open a window using: window.open("/calendar",'calendar','width=950,height=576,titlebar=no,statusbar=no,menubar=no,resizable=no,scrollbars=no'); Firefox 3 and IE 7 open it to have a content area height of 576 plus the browser items (URL bar, status bar, etc). Chrome however opens it to have a total height of 576 meaning a scrollbar appears to the right of the content (and then the bottom because the width is now reduced). How can I get around this? It's for a heavy layout part of a web app so it's not just a matter of "let the user scroll", the client doesn't want that. Has anyone come across this? I don't mind browser sniffing and opening the window bigger, but I know that's yucky these days.

  Hello I build a script that does image uploading and resizing and it all works well, but how can I get the URL from image afterwards? I don't want my Image Source in HTML be like "../img/cat/1.png/" I want it to be like "http://MyIP/img/cat/1.png" I understand that I can just make a variable like $myHost = "http://blabla.com"; and add strip the ".." at the beginning but then it's not so good if I want to use it on other site because I need to replace this all the time. Maybe there is any other way?

  I'm using IceFaces 1.8.2 and trying to get a parameter from the URL using: ((HttpServletRequest) FacesContext.getCurrentInstance() .getExternalContext().getRequest()).getParameter(name); This works fine on the inital request. However, when I do a partialSubmit on a component, it stops working. I'm assuming that its to do with how requests are processed when partial submits are done. Is there a workaround? At the moment, I'm having to ((HttpServletRequest) FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext() .getRequest()).getQueryString(); and manually pass the query string. Thanks.

  I'm building a site with a hashchange on wordpress, all working good. It just loads a single.php template file into a div. The problem is that i can still access my single url (http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post). Since its not having any head and style tags with it, i don't want people to go over there. Also google has picked up the direct links, because I use the href attribute to load content into the div. So my question is: If someone clicks a link lets say in a forum, http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post , is it possible to redirect him instantly to http://www.mydomain.com/#my-single-post ? I have researched that it has something to do with .htaccess, but I also have Pages, where i don't want the hash infront of the page-name.

I'm writing an webinterface in codeigniter to send commands to a virtual server. these commands are passed through the browser in an url. example : http://server.com/TgtSendIRCommand?id=UM-02&code=KEY_UP this server then takes action and the web interface refreshes the screenshot. i just want to have a bunch of links in html that send this command to the browser. But if i click the links, the user has to stay on the same page. So the command is sended but there is no other interaction. i am using codeigniter. Any suggestions ?

  Hi all, I'm trying to use url_for(:back) to create a redirect leading back to a previous page upon a user's logging in. I've had it working successfully for when the user just goes to the login page on his or her own. However, when the user is redirected to the login page due to accessing a page requiring that the user be authenticated, the redirect sends the user back to the page before the one s/he had tried to access with insufficient permissions. I'm trying to modify my login controller action to deal with the redirect properly. My plan is to have a query string parameter "redirect" that is used when a forced redirect occurs. In the controller, if that parameter exists that URL is used; otherwise, url_for(:back) is used, or if that doesn't work (due to lack of HTTP_REFERER), then the user is redirected to the site's home page.   Hi, I have a website running at www.domain.com. The client now wants the website to appear to be running under www.otherdomain.com/whatson/brand/ Since the website is umbraco it won't run under a subfolder. I wanted to use ISAPI rewrite to proxy requests to www.domain.com using the following rule in a .htaccess at www.otherdomain.com/whatson/brand/ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1 [P,L] However, when I apply this I get an ugly 500 Internal Server Error. There's nothing in the event log. • Ionics Rewrite Filter setup on IIS 5.1

  I'm trying to configure IIRF 2 on IIS 5.1 running on XP Pro, so that I can run the Zend Framework. I've managed to get the filter running on a second website that I setup using one the IIS admin scripts. When I goto iirfStatus I get this: The problem is the .ini path for the site is pointing to c:\windows\system32\Irif.ini rather than the site root. If I try creating an IIS application under IIS-Website Properties-Home Directory then iirfStatus stops working entirely. Any ideas how I can set the ini path correctly, or will I only be able to get away with this on a proper server edition of IIS?
