  Hello, I am developing a Silverlight client using the provided navigation template for an imageboard I developed. I have a "search" tab which lists all searches for tags which were executed. I also have a show post tab which shows (also in tab-form) posts, opened from the search tab. When I open a post from the search page, it instanciates a new control (of type UserControl) and inserts this into the ShowPost page's tabcontrol. When I switch (or get switched) to the Show Post view the layout is all messed up. The UserControl inside the tab does not stretch in the tab. When I switch tabs back and forth this is strangely fixed. The reason seems to be that the user control gets created there but has no layout to "fit to" until said layout is opened, which is too late then.   Can anyone tell me what the gcov message "Merge mismatch for summaries" means. I have found the message in the gcc source here: http://www.opensource.apple.com/source/gcc/gcc-5646/gcc/libgcov.c It seems to be a sanity check that the tags in the .gcda files match but I'm not sure. • Using Monotouch with Google .NET APIs

  I am using Mike Bluestein's article, http://mikebluestein.wordpress.com/2009/09/27/using-monotouch-with-the-net-library-for-the-google-data-api/, to build an application that communicates with the google APIs. When I try to add references to my project, the imported projects say "incompatible target framework: v2.0". I can change version to 1.0, 3.0, or 3.5 with the same results. If I add the .dll to the monotouch project I get a compilation error - monotouch failed with no output 134. Any suggestions?

  I'm trying to "hide" some of my perl program from the end user to make things easier on them. I'm doing what I can to keep them out of the command prompt. The program itself has a GUI designed in Perl/Tk, so they don't have to worry about the command prompt. Could I write out a quick batch file that goes along the lines of: START perl 'C:\[some path here]\myscript.pl' with START to start a program, the perl interpretor as my program, and the path/name of my perl script as the parameter? Would I have to specify where to find perl or would Windows just know because perl is in the computer's PATH variable? Thanks for the help!

• Resulting .exe from PyInstaller with wxPython crashing

  I'm trying to compile a very simple wxPython script into an executable by using PyInstaller on Windows Vista. The Python script is nothing but a Hello World in wxPython. I'm trying to get that up and running as a Windows executable before I add any of the features that the program needs to have. But I'm already stuck. I've jumped through some loops in regards to MSVCR90.DLL, MSVCP90.DLL and MSVCPM90.DLL, which I ended up copying from my Visual Studio installation (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\redist\x86\Microsoft.VC90.CRT). As according to the instructions for PyInstaller, I run: Command: Configure.py Output: I: computing EXE_dependencies I: Finding TCL/TK... I: could not find TCL/TK I: testing for Zlib... I: ... Zlib available I: Testing for ability to set icons, version resources... I: ... resource update available I: Testing for Unicode support... I: ... Unicode available I: testing for UPX... I: ...UPX available I: computing PYZ dependencies... So far, so good. I continue. Command: Makespec.py -F guitest.py Output: wrote C:\Code\PromoUSB\guitest.spec now run Build.py to build the executable Then there's the final command.   When using the standard Windows remote desktop client to connect to a large remote desktop, the result is usually that the remote desktop is resized to a smaller size matching the local display. Are there any RDP clients that instead leave the remote desktop at its original size and pan this larger area when the mouse reaches the border edges of the local display? Thanks Mike

In delegate.m file I implement; [viewController.view addSubview:[[objc_getClass("PLCameraController") sharedInstance] previewView]]; and in viewcontroller.m I implement: PLCameraController *cam = [objc_getClass("PLCameraController") sharedInstance]; CapturedImage = [cam _createPreviewImage]; but 'cam' is always nil. Any suggestions?

I'm using Windows 7. The currently installed software is Geoserver from Opengeo suite. • django urls.py regex isn't working

• Can one Python project use both 2.x and 3.x code?

I want to use wxPython for my GUI (supports 2.6), but I also want to use 3.1 for the rest of the project (to start using the 3.x syntax). Is there any way for me to design a project that mixes 2.x and 3.x modules? Or should I just bite the bullet and use either 2.x (preferred, since I really want to learn wxPython) or 3.x throughout? • What is dmake actually doing when installing a new module?

  I just mangaged to install the perl/Tk module after much struggle. I realise I don't understand what dmake or make etc is actually doing. I am using strawberry perl installed at C:\strawberry. Fisrt I unpacked the module to another directory and ran perl makefile.pl which worked fine. Then I tried dmake which did not work. I guess that will be obvious to people who know how this works. When I placed the module as a sub-directory of C:\strawberry I could run perl makefile.pl, dmake, dmake test and dmake install. My guess is that dmake install is adding some executable files to the interpreter and to work the module must be in a subdirectory. Is there any article anywhere that explains what it is doing in detail?

• Blackberry development on scripting language ?

  From what I've seen, the preferred way to develop Blackberry applications is Java. Is this the only way? I'm dreaming of a rapid application environment where you can create GUIs (using the Blackberry UI components). Something like a port of Tcl/Tk on Blackberry... or Python/Tkinter... or something new, but similar. Does something like that exist ? (I doubt it) Can something like that exist ? (i.e., given the money, is it feasible/reasonable/...)

  Okay, this is REALLY starting to bug me... This page works fine in both Chrome and Firefox. www.bloggan.tk But if it's opened in internet-explorer it always expands beyond the page and introduces the scrollbar no matter what the resolution of the browser is. I have NO idea what change in the html it was that cause this... Here's the blogger-template-html-source I'd REALLY appreciate if someone could help me with this. Thanks in advance! Edit: I've "solved" it for IE using javascript, but that's only temporary (i hope). The version without javascript can be seen here, so that you still will be able to know what I'm talking about. Still trying to solve it, and still hoping for someone to help me.

• problems importing ttk from tkinter in python 2.7

  I'm working with an example file in a tutorial that asks me to first do two imports: from tkinter import * from tkinter import ttk I get an error. I researched a bit and found that in python 2.7.x I need to capitalize the 't'in tkinter, so I change to: from Tkinter import * from Tkinter import ttk. the first line no longer gives and error, but I still get error: ImportError: cannot import name ttk. I have researched this issue on this site and other places, and cannot seem to understand what this ttk is. I'm further confused by the fact that, when I go to the python interpreter, and I type "help()", then "modules", and then "ttk" it seems to know what it is, and gives me a lot of description, for example: "DESCRIPTION This module provides classes to allow using Tk themed widget set." -however, python won't let me import it.

• Python. How to iterate through a list of lists looking for a partial match

  I'm completely stuck on this, without even an idea about how to wrap my head around the logic of this. In the first half of the code, I have successfully generation a list of (thousands of) lists of players names and efficiency scores: eg name_order_list = [["Bob", "Farley", 12.345], ["Jack", "Donalds", 14.567], ["Jack", "Donalds", 13.421], ["Jack", "Donalds", 15.232],["Mike", "Patricks", 10.543]] What I'm trying to do, is come up with a way to make a list of lists of the average efficiency of each player. So in that example, Jack Donalds appears multiple times, so I'd want to recognize his name somehow and average out the efficiency scores. Then sort that new list by efficiency, rather than name. This is a problem with my logic, I think, so any help would be greatly appreciated. As would any advice about how to loop through that massive list in a smarter way, since I'm sure there is one... EIDT: for this exercise, I need to keep it all in a list format. I can make new lists, but no using dictionaries, classes, etc.
