  I have a DataTemplate and a SolidColorBrush in the DataTemplate.Resources section. I want to bind the color to a property of the same data object that the DataTemplate itself is bound to. However, this does not work. The brush is ignored.   I've been searching for hours for resources on how to successfully use registration free Com interop. I've found some resources on using old COM libraries in .net applications, but allmost nothing on using new .NET libraries in COM applications (more spcecific: VB6 applications) Basically my search gave two useful resources: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms973915.aspx (Walkthrough by Steve Wight) There is allso the main MSDN article on the subject (No link because this is my first post, and I am only allowed one link) Is nobody else doing this, or am I the only one struggling to get my head around it?   I'm trying to build an application that builds a resource file into a jar, but I'd like to have the project runnable within eclipse. I have a basic maven 2 structure for my project, and I'm unsure how to read in the file such that it's found and used when run from the JAR or from within eclipse. Thought? Structure: src/main/java src/main/resources/file.txt Current reading method: getClass().getResourceAsStream("/file.txt") Is there reading method that will pick up src/main/resources/*, as well as the root level of the JAR (where resources are deployed)?

• Need some clarification on Bankers Algorithm

  Hi, just a quick query about safe/unsafe states in Dijkstra's Banker's algorithm... If one of the processes in the snapshot of the system (for example the one below) already has all of its needs fulfilled and there are not sufficient resources available to fulfil the needs of any of the other processes, is the system in a safe state? I know normally we assume that once a process receives its required resources it will terminate soon after and return all resources, but is this assumption factored in when we calculate the state of the system?   What I'd like to be able to do is: in config/routes.rb resources :posts in config/locale/en.yml en: resources: posts: "posts" new: "new" edit: "edit" in config/locale/tr.yml tr: resources: posts: "yazilar" new: "yeni" edit: "duzenle" and get I18n.locale = :en edit_post_path(3) #=> /posts/3/edit I18n.locale = :tr edit_post_path(3) #=> /yazilar/3/duzenle I'd also like rails to match any of these routes anytime and pass the associated locale in the params hash such that when I navigate to /yazilar , the request should be routed to the posts#index action. Any simple way of doing that?

• Mootools not loading fast enough IE6

  Very random and annoying problem with IE6. We keep our common JS files on a resources server so we only have to update them in one place. As well as our custom classes we also keep our build of mootools and more on the resources server and link to it in the head of our sites. This is fine in all the browsers accept IE6. In IE6 it seems to not loads the core quick enough from the external link before trying to process the mootools code in my site.js file. It will go wrong on the first line "windows.addEvent". If i put a mootools core in a folder where the site is though its fine. Does anyone know why it might be doing this and if so a way around it, but still keeping the files on the resources domain?   Hi, I have a software written using Qt which is meant to work on both Windows and Linux. I use PNG images as icons for my QActions, embedded in a resource. I have the following tree directory: / resources/ icons.qrc image.png Here is the content of icons.qrc: <RCC> <qresource prefix="/resources" lang="fr"> <file alias="image.png">image.png</file> </qresource> </RCC> I declare my QIcon like that: QIcon(":/resources/image.png") Under Windows, it works well but on Linux (I only tried on Ubuntu 10.4 so far), the images aren't displayed. Is there anything special I have to do for this to work ? Is this a configuration problem ? Thank you.

I want to make an Alias so I can get the same resources but with the "truck" word, I tried with: map.trucks '/trucks', :controller => :vehicles, :action => :index, :is_truck => true map.trucks '/trucks/by_supplier/:supplier', :controller => :vehicles, :action => :index, :is_truck => true The first one works well, but when I search within a Form the second doesn't work and searches all suppliers. • Providing localized error messages for non-attributed model validation in ASP.Net MVC 2?

  I'm using the DataAnnotations attributes along with ASP.Net MVC 2 to provide model validation for my ViewModels: public class ExamplePersonViewModel { [Required(ErrorMessageResourceName = "Required", ErrorMessageResourceType = typeof(Resources.Validation))] [StringLength(128, ErrorMessageResourceName = "StringLength", ErrorMessageResourceType = typeof(Resources.Validation))] [DataType(DataType.Text)] public string Name { get; set; } [Required(ErrorMessageResourceName = "Required", ErrorMessageResourceType = typeof(Resources.Validation))] [DataType(DataType.Text)] public int Age { get; set; } } This seems to work as expected (although it's very verbose). The problem I have is that there are behind-the-scenes model validations being performed that are not tied to any specific attribute. An example of this in the above model is that the Age property needs to be an int. If you try to enter a non-integer value on the form, it will error with the following (non-localized) message: The field Age must be a number. How can these non-attribute validation messages be localized? Is there a full list of these messages available so I can make sure they are all localized?

  I would like to create a list of Integers in the /res folder of an android project. However, I want those integers to point resources in /res/raw. • Zend Framework Modules can't find/load Models..

  For some frustrating reason, I configured some Modules, which seemed to work fine, However I cannot load a Modules Models. If I move the Models to the Default they load, but I just can't get the Framework to find them locally.. Example: My Modules Directory is: application\modules\books\models\books.php (books is my Model) class Application_Module_Books_Model_Books extends Zend_Db_Table_Abstract {} I also tried.. Books_Model_Books, Model_Books, books, Modules_.. you name it I tried it :) My controller is in the Books Module, and is an Index Controller, and it can never find the Local Model. I'm using Application.ini and it is configured this way: resources.frontController.controllerDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/controllers" resources.frontController.params.displayExceptions = 1 resources.frontController.moduleDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/modules" I have a BootStrap in the Modules Directory: class Admin_Bootstrap extends Zend_Application_Module_Bootstrap { } I'm on Zend Framework 1.10, and ideas.. ?

  I'm reading these two pages resources Adding more RESTful actions The Rails Guides page shows map.resources :photos, :new => { :upload => :post } And its corresponding URL /photos/upload This looks wonderful. My routes.rb shows this map.resources :users, :new => { :signup => :get, :register => :post } When I do: [~/my_app]$ rake routes I see the two new routes added signup_new_user GET /users/new/signup(.:format) register_new_user POST /users/new/register(.:format) Note the inclusion of /new! I don't want that. I just want /users/signup and /users/register (as described in the Rails Routing Guide). Any help?

• Best way to do something when a runloop event is done processing?

  I have some processing in my Cocoa app that sometimes ends up calling through a hierarchy of data to do a bunch of work as the result of an event. Each small piece creates and destroys some resources. I don't want those resources around most of the time, but I would like to find a smart way of creating them before all the work and killing them at the end. Short of creating the resources up front and then passing them entirely down through the call hierarchy when work is done, is there a way to know locally in some code when an event loop run has ended? Then I could create them if they're not there, and keep them until the run loop ends, reusing them for any subsequent calls before that time. Thanks.

  I would like to have this piece of code in my .aspx file: <input class="ms-ButtonHeightWidth" type="button" name="BtnOK" id="Button2" value="Close" onclick="javascript:HandleOKButtonClick()" accesskey="<%$Resources:wss,okbutton_accesskey%>" /> Unfortunately, ASP.net doesn't seem to like that: An error occurred during the processing of /_layouts/MyPage/Info.aspx. Literal expressions like '<%$Resources:wss,okbutton_accesskey%>' are not allowed. Use <asp:Literal runat="server" Text="<%$Resources:wss,okbutton_accesskey%>" /> instead That doesn't work in this situation as that would mean nesting the Literal between the quotes of the accesskey attribute, which causes a "The tag contains duplicate 'ID' attributes" error. Is there a way to use a string from a resource without having to change the input to an asp:Button? I guess there has to be a way using <%=, but I don't know how I would address the resource itself?

At first i add a new user through default sign up page (E.g./users/sign_up) Then, i made "sign_up" page only available to signed_in users by following instructions from Devise before filter that prevents access to "new_user_registration_path" unless user is signed-in Now, after sign in process when i try open sign up page it always directs me to root_path! How can i access sign up page?   Hi, I am trying to parse a valid xaml file using the XamlXmlReader. It looks like it is 'skipping' some elements when when Read() is called. for example on the following xaml snippet: <UserControl.Resources> <Converters:AnyDbTypeToDisplayNameConverter x:Key="anyDbTypeToDisplayNameConverter" /> </UserControl.Resources> when reading I first get a XamlNodeType.StartObject on UserControl.Resources - makes sense then another XamlNodeType.StartObject on Converters - also cool. but then i do not get a XamlNodeType.EndObject on the Converters and immediately jump to the next line and does not report a XamlNodeType.StartObject. Any Idea if this is working as design ? looks like a bug to me

  I recently created a Sinatra app with a login form (no basic auth). To prevent access to the app unless the user logged in I put a before block in place before do unless request.path_info == '/login' authenticated? end end I quickly realized that this prevented me from accessing resources in the public directory like my style sheet and logo unless authenticated first as well. To get around that I changed my filter to the following: before do unless request.path_info == '/login' || request.path_info == "/stylesheets/master.css" || request.path_info == "/images/logo.png" authenticated? end end If there were lots of resources I needed to provide exceptions to this way of making them would quickly become overwhelming. What is a better way to code this so I can make exceptions for the public directory or even its specific sub-directories and files like /stylesheets, /images, /images/bg.png but not /secret or /secret/eyes-only.pdf? Or ... Is there a completely different best-practice to handle this situation of locking down everything except the stuff related to logging in (handlers, views, resources)?

  I have made a Java Swing Desktop application in Netbeans which can play media files I have put the videos in my workspace resources location and in my java program I am calling those media files using an URL which is something like this: C:/users/Dell/My Documents /NetBeansProjects/Media/src/resources/ MediaFiles/ddd.mpg This works well when I run in my IDE and also i have made Jar for this it works well on my computer but the problem is when i copy this jar file on my friends system the interface is coming but when I click a button to play a media file it says: C:/users/Dell/MyDocuments/NetBeansProjects/Media/src/resources/ MediaFiles/ddd.mpg does not exist So, please provide me a solution of how to set the default path so that when I run a jar file on other systems it should play the media file location I am passing as in my program. How to set the path for the location of media files in program? Update The videos are in the jar file.

  Hello, I am a newbie to Oracle, and I have used MySQL for most of the time. So now for testing scripts, I was just planning to create a database, but from the resources I have found on google, it doesn't look as simple it is maybe in mysql or in sqlserver. I just need to create a database, say "CREATE DATABASE TESTDB";. That is it, but of the resources I have found, it seems I need to create an instance identifier, decide an authentication method, create an initialization file etc. Do I really have to do all this or am I using the wrong resources. I just need to create a database and add a few tables into it, just to check my connection string etc. I need to check if I am able to connect to my web server.
