  • page cannot be found error on Facebook login on my WP and iPhone app

    This is happening to me since last 2 days. Earlier, successful login redirected to my app and I was able to proceed. Now I get this error page.   • Enhancing an 'ORDER BY' clause to judge condition by more than 1 integer

    Hi folks, I have some PHP code which allows me to sort a column into ascending and descending order (upon click of a table row title), which is good. It works perfectly for my D.O.B colum (with date/time field type), but not for a quantity column. For example, I have quantites of 10, 50, 100, 30 and another 100. The order seems to be only appreciating the 1st integer, so my sorting of the column ends up in this order: 10, 100, 100, 30, 50... and 50, 30, 100, 100, 10. This is obviously incorrect as 100 is bigger than 50, therefore both 100 values should appear at the end surely? It seems to me that 100 is only being taken into account as having the '1' value, then it appears before 10 because the system recognises it has another 0. Is this normal to happen? Is there any way I can solve this problem? Thanks for any help. P.S. I can show code if necessary, but would like to know if this is a common issue by default.

    I'm trying to draw a circle in WP7 Silverlight using EllipseGeometry instead of Ellipse. The sample XAML in MSDN does not display anything on the canvas in Visual Studio.     I am attempting to hash and keep(the hash) an object of type IEnumerable<anotherobject> which has about a 1000 entries. I'll be generating another such object, but this time I'd like to check for any changes in the values of the entries using the hash codes of the two objects. Basically, I was wondering if GetHashCode() is apt for this, both from a performance perspective and reliability perspective (getting different values for different object values and same values for same object values, always). If I have to override it, what would be a good way to do so, does it always depend on the type of anotherobject and what Equals means when comparing two anotherobjects? Is there a generic way to do it? This concern is because my object can be quite big.

    I taken two Images & added event (MouseButtonDown) for them. When first image handles event to open Gallery. Second image handles events for open camera. When user has choosed his image from the gallery, I want to navigate to next page. Its navigates. But before completing navigation process, it displays MainPage & then moves toward next page. I didnt want to display the MainPage once user chooses the image from the gallery. Plz help.   • How much time should it take to find the sum of all prime numbers less than 2 million?

    I was trying to solve this Project Euler Question. I implemented the sieve of euler as a helper class in java. It works pretty well for the small numbers. But when I input 2 million as the limit it doesn't return the answer. I use Netbeans IDE. I waited for a lot many hours once, but it still didn't print the answer. When I stopped running the code, it gave the following result Java Result: 2147483647 BUILD SUCCESSFUL (total time: 2,097 minutes 43 seconds) This answer is incorrect. Even after waiting for so much time, this isn't correct. While the same code returns correct answers for smaller limits. Sieve of euler has a very simple algo given at the botton of this page.   • WP7/silverlight Images does not stay within a grid/stackpanel when using the toolkit to provide gesture support

    I have few buttons and below that I am displaying an image and have used the WP7/Silverlight toolkit to provide support for Gestures. Everything works fine, until i do gestures like pinch and then moving it up/down. Both these gestures work fine but they do not seem to respect the stackpanel/grid the image is present in and they go over that and on top of the buttons. Do u know how to restrict these?     My datacontext has two properties: Items which is a collection and DetailsVisiblity which is enum of type Visiblity. On the page I have a Listbox with ItemsSource="{Binding Entries}". Inside the DataTemplate, I can bind stuff to properties of Items, but how do I get access to DetailsVisiblity which is a property of DataContext?     Hi, I am trying to detect the numbers written on a grid and then process them using the iPhone camera. What I don't wanna do is to go through the whole AI process: training the system, providing the system whole set of values and then process them, because this is so much troublesome for me as well for the performance of my application.     Hi there, I need to generate a reasonably random unique key for a table. It should be something like a GUID for MYSQL. I've tried UUID, but it looks like only the first few characters are actually random- the rest are the same every time I insert them. Essentially, it is desirable for this key field to be very difficult to guess, even if you already have one known value in the column. What is the best way to do this, and how should I set up the field data type to store the value efficiently? Thank you, Steve

    I am looking for an example of how to use the new DataServiceState Save and Restore methods in a WP7 application in order to tombstone a datacontext - I cannot find any examples and the approach I used resulted in an exception this saves the data context correctly PhoneApplicationService.Current.State["DataContext"] = DataServiceState.Save(this.Model.Entities); this attempts to restore it after the app is re-activated var dc = (PhoneApplicationService.Current.State["DataContext"] as DataServiceState).Restore(); but throws an exception An item could not be added to the collection. When items in a DataServiceCollection are tracked by the DataServiceContext, new items cannot be added before items have been loaded into the collection. This is the same exception I get if I try to reload a datacontext that I stored "directly" (without using the DataServiceState.Save method) in the PhoneApplicationService.Current.State. I cannot find any offical documentation on the new ODATA v2 DataServiceState class or examples. thanks Michael

  • WP7 - group of textboxes into some sort of template?

    I'm still pretty new at Silverlight so there might be a way to do this, but I'm just unfamiliar with the terminology... I basically have this grouping of textboxes and textblocks and I would like to repeat this same grouping whenever the addNew button is clicked. Is there a way to do this by creating some sort of template?     How could I adapt this query to show the previous 61 weeks? (still exlcluding the current week). My query currently shows me the total weekly sales for 2010 grouped by ISO Week and ISO Year (exlcuding the current week). select to_char(order_date,'IYYY') as iso_year, to_char(order_date,'IW') as iso_week, sum(sale_amount) from orders where to_char(order_date,'IW') <> to_char(SYSDATE) and to_char(order_date,'IYYY') = 2010 group by to_char(order_date,'IYYY') to_char(order_date,'IW') I realize I could probably just omit the "2010" requirement, order by desc and limit results to a certain bnumber of rows. But that just doesn't seem right! Much appreciate any help pointing me in the right direction!

  • Fastest Way to generate 1,000,000+ random numbers in python

    I am currently writing an app in python that needs to generate large amount of random numbers, FAST. Currently I have a scheme going that uses numpy to generate all of the numbers in a giant batch (about ~500,000 at a time). While this seems to be faster than python's implementation. I still need it to go faster. Any ideas? I'm open to writing it in C and embedding it in the program or doing w/e it takes. Constraints on the random numbers: A Set of numbers 7 numbers that can all have different bounds: eg: [0-X1, 0-X2, 0-X3, 0-X4, 0-X5, 0-X6, 0-X7] Currently I am generating a list of 7 numbers with random values from [0-1) then multiplying by [X1..X7] A Set of 13 numbers that all add up to 1 Currently just generating 13 numbers then dividing by their sum Any ideas? Would pre calculating these numbers and storing them in a file make this faster? Thanks!
