  • How to inspect JSP request URL for String

    - by IAmYourFaja
I have the following processor.jsp file: <% response.sendRedirect("http://buzz.example.com"); %> I want to change it so that it inspects the HTTP request URL for the presence of the word "fizz" and, if it exists, redirect the user to http://fizz.example.org instead. So something like: <% String reqUrl = request.getURL().toLowerCase(); String token = null; if(reqUrl.contains("fizz")) { token = "fizz"; } else { token = "buzz"; } String respUrl = "http://%%%TOKEN%%%.example.com".replace("%%%TOKEN%%%", token); response.sendRedirect(respUrl); %> However this doesn't work. Any ideas on what I should be using instead of request, or if I'm doing anything else wrong?

  • Problem loading a contents URL into a string

    - by bebeTech
I've been using this method for a few weeks now as suggested on my previous question and the app now keeps crashing with a Protocol 443 error - something about unable to resolve the address. Worked fine when first installed and then just stopped. The same with on the device itself, worked fine until this morning and now the same issue?? Nothing wrong with the URL as I can still load in a browser. If I leave it for a couple of days it starts working again?? Is there a more effecient way of using the Http POST and GET functions? All I am trying to do is perform a login and save the resulting page to a string. Is there a more Android friendly way?

  • Generate a valid array key from an URL string in PHP

    - by John Riche
I have a PHP array with some predefined values: $aArray = array( 0 => 'value0', 1 => 'value1' ); I need to create a function where the string input will always return the same, valid, array key so that when I call: GiveMeAKey('http://www.google.com'); // May return 0 or 1 I receive always the same key (I don't care which one) from the array. Obvisously I can't store the relationship in a database and the string passed to the GiveMeAKey method can be any URL. I wonder if there is a way of doing that ?

  • Google Chrome window.open height includes URL bar

    - by andyjeffries
When we open a window using: window.open("/calendar",'calendar','width=950,height=576,titlebar=no,statusbar=no,menubar=no,resizable=no,scrollbars=no'); Firefox 3 and IE 7 open it to have a content area height of 576 plus the browser items (URL bar, status bar, etc). Chrome however opens it to have a total height of 576 meaning a scrollbar appears to the right of the content (and then the bottom because the width is now reduced). How can I get around this? It's for a heavy layout part of a web app so it's not just a matter of "let the user scroll", the client doesn't want that. Has anyone come across this? I don't mind browser sniffing and opening the window bigger, but I know that's yucky these days.

  • Need help with regular expressions - URL redirection

    - by paperless
Hello everyone. I'm trying to redirect an easy to remember url to a php file but I'm having some trouble with the regex. Here's what I have at the moment: RewriteRule ^tcb/([a-zA-Z0-9]{1,})/([a-zA-Z0-9]{1,})/([a-zA-Z0-9]{1,}) /tcb/lerbd.php?autocarro=$1&tipo=$2&dsd=$3 It is working but only if I supply all 3 arguments. I want the last two arguments to be optional so it either works with only the first or all three. I'm hoping you can help me with this. Thank you very much.

  • Setting Hyperlink to a Javascript Url (using the DataNavigateUrlFormatString property)

    - by Jangwenyi
I have an issue where my Hyperlink field in Asp.net GridView is not accepting Javascript function that will open a popup dialog. I am using the following snippet <asp:GridView .... . . <asp:HyperLinkField DataTextField="SomeColumn" HeaderText="Some Column Text" SortExpression="SomeColumn" HeaderStyle-HorizontalAlign="Left" DataNavigateUrlFormatString="javascript:LaunchSomePopupdialog({0})" DataNavigateUrlFields="Id" ItemStyle-Font-Underline="true"> . . </asp:GridView> However, when I use a page url, it works: E.g. DataNavigateUrlFormatString="~/SomeOtherPage.aspx?Id={0}" Is there a way I can make this work with my Javascript function?

  • Django forms: prepopulate form with request.user and url parameter

    - by Malyo
I'm building simple Course Management App. I want Users to sign up for Course. Here's sign up model: class CourseMembers(models.Model): student = models.ForeignKey(Student) course = models.ForeignKey(Course) def __unicode__(self): return unicode(self.student) Student model is extended User model - I'd like to fill the form with request.user. In Course model most important is course_id, which i'm passing into view throught URL parameter (for example http://127.0.0.1:8000/courses/course/1/). What i want to achieve, is to generate 'invisible' (so user can't change the inserted data) form with just input, but containing request.user and course_id parameter.

  • Image upload - Return URL

    - by Qmal
Hello I build a script that does image uploading and resizing and it all works well, but how can I get the URL from image afterwards? I don't want my Image Source in HTML be like "../img/cat/1.png/" I want it to be like "http://MyIP/img/cat/1.png" I understand that I can just make a variable like $myHost = "http://blabla.com"; and add strip the ".." at the beginning but then it's not so good if I want to use it on other site because I need to replace this all the time. Maybe there is any other way?

  • URL getRequestParameterMap not working

    - by DD
I'm using IceFaces 1.8.2 and trying to get a parameter from the URL using: ((HttpServletRequest) FacesContext.getCurrentInstance() .getExternalContext().getRequest()).getParameter(name); This works fine on the inital request. However, when I do a partialSubmit on a component, it stops working. I'm assuming that its to do with how requests are processed when partial submits are done. Is there a workaround? At the moment, I'm having to ((HttpServletRequest) FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext() .getRequest()).getQueryString(); and manually pass the query string. Thanks.

  • Redirect to hash URL

    - by r1987
I'm building a site with a hashchange on wordpress, all working good. It just loads a single.php template file into a div. The problem is that i can still access my single url (http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post). Since its not having any head and style tags with it, i don't want people to go over there. Also google has picked up the direct links, because I use the href attribute to load content into the div. So my question is: If someone clicks a link lets say in a forum, http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post , is it possible to redirect him instantly to http://www.mydomain.com/#my-single-post ? I have researched that it has something to do with .htaccess, but I also have Pages, where i don't want the hash infront of the page-name.

  • Associate a URL with a resource within my application

    - by Horace Loeb
When I visit http://my-application.com/posts/1 in my browser, Rails knows I'm looking for the Post with id = 1. How can I get my application to do this internally? I.e., I'd like a function (call it associate_with_resource) that takes a string containing a URL as its input and outputs the associated resource. For example: >> associate_with_resource('http://my-application.com/posts/1') => #<Post id: 1, ... > (I'd like to be able to use associate_with_resource throughout my application though -- not only in the console)

I'm writing an webinterface in codeigniter to send commands to a virtual server. these commands are passed through the browser in an url. example : http://server.com/TgtSendIRCommand?id=UM-02&code=KEY_UP this server then takes action and the web interface refreshes the screenshot. i just want to have a bunch of links in html that send this command to the browser. But if i click the links, the user has to stay on the same page. So the command is sended but there is no other interaction. i am using codeigniter. Any suggestions ?

  • URL replacing regex

    - by perf
I'm trying to make an url that adds a / to all hrefs and srcs in a string. It should only add a / to urls that don't have a http:// at their beginning and that don't have / yet also. If we have this: <a href="ABC">... <img src="DEFG">... <a href="/HIJ">... <a href="http://KLMN">... The results should be something like this: <a href="/ABC">... <img src="/DEFG">... <a href="/HIJ">... <a href="http://KLMN">... This is what i've come up till now: &(href|src)="?!(\/|http::\/\/)(.+)" And the replace would be $1="/$2" It isn't working, though. What am I doing wrong? How would the working regex have to look like

  • Ruby on Rails: url_for :back leads to NoMethodError for back_url

    - by Platinum Azure
Hi all, I'm trying to use url_for(:back) to create a redirect leading back to a previous page upon a user's logging in. I've had it working successfully for when the user just goes to the login page on his or her own. However, when the user is redirected to the login page due to accessing a page requiring that the user be authenticated, the redirect sends the user back to the page before the one s/he had tried to access with insufficient permissions. I'm trying to modify my login controller action to deal with the redirect properly. My plan is to have a query string parameter "redirect" that is used when a forced redirect occurs. In the controller, if that parameter exists that URL is used; otherwise, url_for(:back) is used, or if that doesn't work (due to lack of HTTP_REFERER), then the user is redirected to the site's home page. Here is the code snippet which is supposed to implement this logic: if params[:redirect] @url = params[:redirect] else @url = url_for :back @url ||= url_for :controller => "home", :action => "index" end The error I get is: NoMethodError in UsersController#login undefined method `back_url' for # RAILS_ROOT: [obscured] Application Trace | Framework Trace | Full Trace • Multi-base conversion - using all combinations for URL shortener

    - by Guffa
I am making an URL shortener, and I am struggling with the optimal way of encoding a number (id) into a character string. I am using the characters 0-9,A-Z,a-z so it will basically be a base-62 encoding. That is pretty basic, but it doesn't make use of all possible codes. The codes that it would produce would be: 0, 1, ... y, z, 10, 11, ... zy, zz, 100, 101, ... Notice that the codes 00 to 0z is not used, the same for 000 to 0zz, and so on. I would like to use all the codes, like this: 0, 1, ... y, z, 00, 01, ... zy, zz, 000, 001, ... It would be some combination of base-62 and base-63, with different bases depending on the position... Using base-62 is easy, for example: create procedure tiny_GetCode @UrlId int as set nocount on declare @Code varchar(10) set @Code = '' while (@UrlId > 0 or len(@Code) = 0) begin set @Code = substring('0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz', @UrlId % 62 + 1, 1) + @Code set @UrlId = @UrlId / 62 end select @Code But I haven't yet managed to make a multi-base conversion out of it, to make use of all the codes.

  • .htaccess redirect or rewrite to default language url

    - by Saif Bechan
I have a website that is currently in Dutch. Now I want to make the website multi-language starting with English. I am not that good at .htaccess files and the information on the web is quite confusing. The website I have now uses pretty urls, so all my urls look like this: http://mydomain.com/about/info http://mydomain.com/about/contact The code that I use for that is the following: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-l RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?rt=$1 [L,QSA] </IfModule> I really do not know what this means, esp the [L,QSA]. But it's ok, it works for now. But now I want to add a default redirect to the code. So it becomes as follow http://mydomain.com becomes http://mydomain.com/nl I assume all my old links http://mydomain.com/about/info will not work anymore, but that is a step I am willing to take. Can someone please help me with this code. I have seen a lot of peaces of code, but I can not find the right one.

  • Helicon ISAPI Rewrite Proxy 500 Internal Server Error

    - by Rob Stevenson-Leggett
Hi, I have a website running at www.domain.com. The client now wants the website to appear to be running under www.otherdomain.com/whatson/brand/ Since the website is umbraco it won't run under a subfolder. I wanted to use ISAPI rewrite to proxy requests to www.domain.com using the following rule in a .htaccess at www.otherdomain.com/whatson/brand/ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1 [P,L] However, when I apply this I get an ugly 500 Internal Server Error. There's nothing in the event log. So I turned on ISAPI logging and can see the following 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (2) init rewrite engine with requested uri /whatson/brand/home.aspx Then it testing all the other rewrite rules on the server. Then this 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (1) Htaccess process request w:\websites\otherdomain.com\docs2\whatson\brand\.htaccess 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (3) applying pattern '^(.*)$' to uri 'home.aspx' 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (2) forcing proxy-throughput with http://www.domain.com/home.aspx 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (1) go-ahead with proxy request http://www.domain.com/home.aspx [OK] 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (2) rewrite 'home.aspx' -> '/whatson/brand/home.aspxx.rwhlp?p=0' 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (2) internal redirect with /whatson/brand/home.aspxx.rwhlp?p=0 [INTERNAL REDIRECT] So it appears to work according to the logs, but I'm not seeing the page come through.. It's worth noting that www.domain.com and www.otherdomain.com are on the same box. LogLevel is 3 and RewriteLogLevel is 3 (I've tried with 9 and debug but there is too much traffic going through the other sites on the box) Any ideas?

  • Ionics Rewrite Filter setup on IIS 5.1

    - by Neil Aitken
I'm trying to configure IIRF 2 on IIS 5.1 running on XP Pro, so that I can run the Zend Framework. I've managed to get the filter running on a second website that I setup using one the IIS admin scripts. When I goto iirfStatus I get this: The problem is the .ini path for the site is pointing to c:\windows\system32\Irif.ini rather than the site root. If I try creating an IIS application under IIS-Website Properties-Home Directory then iirfStatus stops working entirely. Any ideas how I can set the ini path correctly, or will I only be able to get away with this on a proper server edition of IIS?

  • MySQL Federated Tables Escaped Table Names

    - by Gordon
I am trying to use MySQL federated tables. The problem is that the documentation specified at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/federated-use.html says that a federated table should be created using the following format for the CONNECTION parameter: scheme://user_name[:password]@host_name[:port_num]/db_name/tbl_name E.G. CONNECTION='mysql://username:password@hostname:port/database/tablename' CONNECTION='mysql://username@hostname/database/tablename' CONNECTION='mysql://username:password@hostname/database/tablename' The problem is that the table I am trying to connect to has non-standard characters in it and I cannot find the proper way to scape them in the connections tring. For example, a table named `Table (one)` . Which has the space and the parenthesis, requiring backticks surrounding it inside any SQL code. Anyone know the proper way to do this?

  • (Apache) RedirectMatch regex to match all directories except those in my list

    - by dotben
I need to 301 redirect all requests coming in for requests to http//server.com to be redirected to http//newserver.com unless the request is for an arbitary list of directories we are maintaining on the legacy server (eg server.com/foo or server.com/bar) I'm having a hard time working out how best to set this up and the regexs. EG, I need: http//server.com/page1 redirect to http//newserver.com/page1 http//server.com/dir1/page2 redirect to http//newserver.com/dir1/page2 http//server.com/foo to load as normal http//server.com/bar/baz.html to load as normal ... because 'foo' and 'bar' are in my list of legacy dirs. I'm wondering if the way to do this is to some how catch the matches in my list and then redirect anything else as a wildcard over to the new server -- but I can't make it work. Can anyone help me with some regex and rewrites for those please? Thanks (apologies for fudging the http:// in the urls, ServerFault thinks I'm posting hyperlinks and won't otherwise let me post this)

  • Apache mod_rewrite weird behavior in Internet Explorer

    - by morrty
I'm attempting to setup redirection for a couple of root domains. Firstly, here is the code in my httpd-vhosts.conf file: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin ****@example.com ServerName example.com ServerAlias example2.com RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^192\.168\.0\.1$ # This is our WAN IP RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^$ RewriteRule ^/?(.*) http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [L,R,NE] </VirtualHost> What this does is redirect the root domain of example.com or example2.com or any host other than www to www.example(2).com The part I'm having a problem with is the RewriteRule itself. the $1 is supposed to match the pattern of the RewriteRule and add it in the substitution. For example: "http://example.com/test.html" should rewrite to "http://www.example.com/test.html" It works in all modern browsers like it's supposed to except for IE8 or IE9 (I didn't test other IE versions). In IE, this works: "http://example.com" to "http://www.example.com" In IE, this does not work: "http://example.com/test.html" to "http://www.example.com/test.html" Does anyone have an explanation for this behavior? I hope I've explained it well enough. Thank you.

  • Why would the IIS UrlRewrite module continue redirecting requests after the rule is removed?

    - by Jon Norton
Our application uses the IIS UrlRewrite module to temporarily redirect requests during upgrades to a maintenance site. We have seen a few instances where even though the redirect rule has been removed, the server continues to redirect all requests according to the removed rule. There does not seem to be any pattern with this, and has only occurred once or twice. We have taken the following steps to try and determine the cause of this behavior. Verified that the original rule was a 307 temporary redirect Requested the application from machines that had never requested it before Used a different browser Added and removed a dummy rule from the IIS management console Checked the http kernel cache using netsh http show cachestate Modified the applicationHost.config file by hand (the rule was not still in the file, we just added a superfluous space) In the past when this has happened, we have been able to restart IIS and it solves the problem but that is not always an option and we really want to figure out what the root cause is. How or why would UrlRewrite be caching the response and not responding to configuration changes?
