  • Running multiple FCGI/Django on Nginx for load sharing

    I am running a web-service on Nginx/FastCGI/Django. Our processing time is fairly long and CPU intensive and I would like to be able to run multiple processes of Django/FastCGI to share the load. How do I set Nginx to rout requests from a single source to multiple instances of Django/FastCGI? (I can run the multiple instances on multiple ports/sockets, but I don't know how to make Nginx share the processing load between them.) Any help much appreciated.

    I have the Windows Phone 7.1 SDK on my computer with Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. I have developped an application but when I want to start it in emulator, it takes about 2 hours to load it, and it's just the O/S! The application isn't started! Is there a way to view the Task Managerof Windows Phone to know why it doesn't load? Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0Ghz VT-x 2GB of DDR2 RAM (800Mhz) Windows 7 Professionnal SP1 64-bit

  • Providing a static IP for resources behind AWS Elastic Load Balancer (ELB)

    I need a static IP address that handles SSL traffic from a known source (a partner). Our servers are behind an AWS Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), which cannot provide a static IP address; many threads about this here. My thought is to create an instance in EC2 whose sole purpose in life is to be a reverse proxy server having it's own IP address; accepting HTTPS requests and forwarding them to the load balancer. Are there better solutions?

    Is it possible to trace which file or process or database query is effecting the load on a VPS? I am using Centos with 512 MB Guarantee Memory and 1 GB burst Memory, I am running 3 wordpress sites from it, where all are having daily traffic of 30-100 visitors each, After every 2-3 days I need to restart my VPS because the resources are taking high usage of memory, I tried running top command and it shows Apache as high, But is it possible to check which website is taking load?     I need to redirect all incoming HTTP traffic to HTTPS on my elastic load balancer. I tired using Apache mod_rewrite: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP:X-Forwarded-Proto} !https RewriteRule !/status https://%{SERVER_NAME}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R] Taking advantage of the X-Forwarded-Proto header added by the load balancer, this rule should instruct the users browser to request the HTTPS version of the same URL. So far It doesn't work (no redirection happens). What am I doing wrong? Is there a better way to do this?

I'm not sure what's causing the issue, or have been able to recreate it. My guess is that one of the softwares I listed below is freezing or something.     my computer wont load past the windows logo, when it finishing loading the logo i see a blue screen quickly flashes on and off just a glimpse of it but i recognise that sreen anywhere i know its a serious error message screen, after that it just shows a black screen with a movable cursor, i've tried to repair, load last good configuration, but nothing seems to work, i'm running windows 7, its a toshiba laptop, 4 GB SDRAM, 320 GB HDD, Intel Pentium Processor T4200, dual core processor.

    I would like to create a simple .MAP file listing addresses and symbol names from a PDB file. My natural inclination was to look for a tool named "pdb2map", but most of the results I get for that appear to refer to a sample program from the CD included with Debugging Applications for Microsoft .NET and Microsoft Windows, which unfortunately is not also posted on the 'net. Anyone know a good tool for this? Thanks.

    I've added php as a module for Apache 2.2.11: LoadModule php5_module "c:/php/php5apache2_2.dll" And also added AddType application/x-httpd-php .php And in PHP.ini, my extension dir is set to: extension_dir = "C:\php\ext" And yes, the directories are correct and all files do exist.     I've found a PPM image with the header starting with PF. The resolution number is stored in floating point (-1.000). No comments are inserted to get how it was produced. From the resolution, each pixel is composed by 12 bytes (4 bytes per component)... I suppose they are float or integer numbers. The problem is that I cannot get a clear image. Someone has already found this kind of images?

    Hi, I have a website and my users can browse the website for general information. If user wants to post any data, they need to register in the website. At the time of registration (in registration form) they can upload their photo. Once registration process is completed they can even modify the previously uploaded photo. My users are facing problem while they uploading their photo at the time of registration. I have given write permission to uploading files folder. But it is giving "Access denied" error. There should be a provision to upload files with or without logging into application. How can we achieve this?

I have a text file with a list of about 50k telephone numbers, and want to write a stored procedure that will open the file, read the 50k lines and store it as rows in a table. I cannot load the file directly using LOAD IN FILE as the table has additional columns that I have to set. Thanks!

    I've been doing this all the time: result = subprocess.call(['copy', '123*.xml', 'out_folder\\.', '/y']) if result == 0: do_something() else: do_something_else() Until today I started to look into pywin32 modules, then I saw functions like win32file.CopyFiles(), but then I found it may not support copying files to a directory. Maybe this functionality is hidden somewhere, but I haven't found it yet. I've also tried "glob" and "shutil" combination, but "glob" is incredibly slow if there are many files. So, how do you emulate this Windows command with Python? copy 123*.xml out_folder\. /y
