  • Building 64bit Qt on 32bit Xp computer

    I'm trying to build Qt in a shared 64 bit mode on my 32bit XP system. I can configure the QMake and start the 64bit build. The problem is that when the build starts, the first thing that happens in that the process builds ui, moc and rcc utility compilers in 64 bit mode, then tries to run them on my 32bit machine. Does anyone know how to configure the build so that it does not build those compilers first?

  • Should I make a ImageHelper in this situation?

    Hi I'm working with a project (asp.net mvc) where I need to show pictures on one site. They gone have jquery and be surrounded by a div like <div><img/></div> I'm relatively new on MVC so I'm not sure what ways are the best to work in it yet. Should I do a ImageHelper so i can access it like <% Html.ImageJquery() %> or should i just do it plain in the view what are your thoughts on this?

  • Can't get DataGridView to refresh over Linq to SQL (WinForm)

    Very strange situation here: I'm using L2S to populate a DataGridView. Code follows: private void RefreshUserGrid() { var UserQuery = from userRecord in this.DataContext.tblUsers orderby userRecord.DisplayName select userRecord; UsersGridView.DataSource = UserQuery; //I have also tried //this.UserBindingSource.DataSource = UserQuery; //UsersGridView.Datasource = UserBindingSource; UsersGridView.Columns[0].Visible = false; } Whenever I use L2S to Add/Delete records from the database, the GridView refreshes perfectly well. However, if someone is editing the grid and makes a mistake, I want them to be able to hit a refresh button and have their mistakes erased by reloading from the datasource. For the life of me, I can't get it to work. The code I am currently using on my refresh button is this: private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { this.DataContext.Refresh(RefreshMode.OverwriteCurrentValues); RefreshUserGrid(); } But the damn GridView remains unaffected. All that happens is the selected row becomes unselected. I have tried .Refresh(), .Invalidate(), I've tried changing the DataSource to NULL and back again (all suggestions from similar posts here)....none of it works. The only time the Grid refreshes is if I restart the app. I must be missing something fundamental, but I'm totally stumped and so are my colleagues. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Im using c# .net , windows form application. I have a XML file which contains two columns and some rows of data. now i have to fill this data into a data grid view. im using a button, when i click on the button an open dialog box will appear. i have to select the xml file name and when i click on open the contents of that xml file should come to the data grid view. i have tried with the following code: { XmlDataDocument xmlDatadoc=new XmlDataDocument(); XmlDatadoc.Dataset.ReadXml(filename); ds=xmlDatadoc.Dataset; datagridview1.DataSource=ds.DefaultViewManager; datagridview1.Datamember="language"; } My xml file is: <languages> <language> <key> key1</key> <value>value1</value> <language> <language> <key> key2</key> <value>value2</value> <language> </languages> Its working fine but only for "language" .   • Not able to play videos (from youtube) in WebView

    I am using a webview to display a video (could be from youtube or vimeo) in my app. In order to not load the video webpages in the default Android Browser, I am also extending the WebViewClient so I can override the shouldOverrideUrlLoading method. This way the video webpage loads successfully in the WebView. However, when I click on the embedded video on the WebView, it does not play. If I do not override the shouldOverrideUrlLoading method, and let the video webpages load in the default Android browser, the videos work just fine. Any ideas why the videos are not working in the WebView? Also, the main reason why I overrode the shouldOverrideUrlLoading method is because if I do not do that, then when I exit the Android browser to come back to my activity (by hitting the back button on the phone), I see a white screen. Upon hitting the back button twice, I am able to get back to my Activity. I am using the emulator to do this test.   • How to handle authorization in the view layout

    Authorize attribute are good to do some access control base on Action but suppose that I have some UI element in the layout that should note be output unless the user is authorize. I could possibly set some boolean in the ViewBag but that is not the good solution I guess.     Hi I have a MySQL database table "points" the user can click a button and a point should be removed from their account, the button they pressed has an ID of another user, therefore their account must increase by one.     I am using the Mac OS X Apple Script Editor and (while debugging) instead of writing a lot of display dialog statements, I'd like to write the results of some calculation in the window below, called "Result" (I have the German UI here, so the translation is a guess). So is there a write/print statement that I can use for putting messages in the "standard out" window? I am not asking to put the messages in a logfile on the file system, it is purely temporary.

    I have some code which keeps track of the number of times a button has been clicked. As a matter of fact, when the page first loads, a counter is set to 0. On every postback, the counter is incremented by 1. I have only one button on the page. The main idea behind this is to allow the user to enter some details 4 times. If he enters invalid details for 4 times, he is redirected to an error page. Otherwise, he is redirected to a confirmation page. This is my code: if (!this.IsPostBack) { Session["Count"] = 0; } else { if (Session["Count"] == null) { Session.Abandon(); Response.Redirect("CheckOutErrorPage.htm"); } else { int count = (int)Session["Count"]; if (count == 3) { Session.Abandon(); Response.Redirect("CheckOutFailure.aspx"); } else { count++; Session["Count"] = count; } } } Everything works as it should except that if the user enter invalid details for 3 times and then he enters VALID details on the 4th time, the user is redirected to the Error Page (because he has tried 4 times) instead of the confirmation page. How can I solve this please?

  • getView() in CountDownTimer's onTick return sometimes null

    I had recently a crash report where I could see that in the CountDownTimer's onTick method the getView() call returns null. I use the onTick method to display the remaining time in a textView. The textView is inside a Fragment. Since the CountDownTimer runs in the UI thread I have no idea why this had happened. What could be the cause for this and what is a possible workaround for this problem? Thanks!

  • Invalid Cross-Thread Operations from BackgroundWorker2_RunWorkerCompleted in C#

    Hello. I'm getting an error that does not make sense. Cross-thread operation not valid: Control 'buttonOpenFile' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on. In my application, the UI thread fires off backgroundWorker1, which when almost complete fires off backgroundWorker2 and waits for it to complete. backgroundWorker1 waits for backgroundWorker2 to complete, before it completes. AutoResetEvent variables are used to flag when each of the workers complete. In backgroundWorker2_RunWorkerComplete a function is called that resets the form controls. It is in this ResetFormControls() function where the exception is thrown. I thought it was safe to modify form controls in the RunWorkerCompleted function. Both background workers are instantiated from the UI thread.   • set highchart margin

    I have built a a higcharts charts and I am displaying them one at a time on mouseover. The jquery creates a floting div (depending on the cursor) with a border line 1px solid black and then the highchart method is being called to draw the chart. The thing is that highcharts exceed and left and bottom border is not shown. I tired 'margin' : chart: { renderTo: 'graph', defaultSeriesType: 'line', zoomType: 'x', margin: [ 10, 10, 10, 10] }, and still it does the same thing.
