• Some questions about dotnetopenauth

  Hi I have a couple outstanding questions mainly reguarding twitter and facebook In the FacebookGraph class there are properties such as Id,name,etc. I am wondering how do I add to this list? Like what happens if I want a users hometown? I tried to add a property called hometown but it always is null. What should I store their id(1418) or the whole url(http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1418) for lookup later in my db to grab their data and to see if they have an account with my site? Is it actually good to use this id as it seems like it is common knowledge. Can't someone just find the profile id or whatever and do a fake request on my site? how do you setup dotnetopenauth to deal with the case when a user goes to facebook and deletes access to my website. I know you can send a deauthorization code to your site and then delete their account but I don't know how to do that through dotnetopenauth Twitter Is it possible to do number 4 with twitter? Ajax Is it possible to make the openid stuff ajax? I don't see a sample anywhere in the dotnetopenauth samples.

• DotNetOpenAuth getting return_To url as the provider

  I have a provider that I'm upgrading from version 2 to version 3. basically a user comes to one of our sites and we say "if you don't have an openID sign up with this one" They click that and are sent to our in house provider what signs them up for an account and has to verify their email address. In the link I send via Email I included the return to url . This way when they click the link to verify their email (sometimes up to a week later) they are sent to our page that knows to send them back to the returnTo to login. I could not find a good way to do this in version 2 so I used a hack. • Allow login from another site

  I have web application where I store users' password and username. If you logon to this site, you can login with the password and username to have access to your profile. There is another option that requires you to login to my site from your site and have your profile within your site. This is because you might already have a site that your clients know you with. This latter part is what I don't know to implement. I have these ideas: Have a fixed IFrame within your site to contain my site: but I am concerned about size/layout since different clients have different layout/size for their content section. I am thinking of how to maintain session too A webservice: I don't know how feasible this is since the Password and ID are on my server. You may have to send them back and forth. It means client would have to code with my API. But I am not just returning data, I have to show them a page that contains the profile details OpenID, Single-SignOn: Just guessing - but the authentication and data resides on my server. there is nothing to access on your side in this case Any other methods/better approach Examples: like login into facebook within my site and still be able to do post updates, receive notifications Facebook implement some of these with IFrame e.g. the Like button

• 500 - An error has occurred! DB function reports no errors when adding new article in Joomla!

  I have an article that I want to publish on my Joomla! site. Every time I click apply or save. I get error 500 - An error has occurred! DB function reports no errors. I have no idea why this error comes up, al I can think is that it's a server error. I'm using TinyMCE to type articles together with Joomla! 1.5.11. Updated: I turned on Maximum error reporting in Joomla! and in the article manager I tried to save the article and got these couple of errors. Please check screenshot I tried adding <?php ini_set('error_reporting', E_ALL); error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set('log_errors',TRUE); ini_set('html_errors',TRUE); ini_set('display_errors',true); ?> at the top of the index.php pages for Joomla! but it does not show any errors. I checked the error logs on the server and also no errors come up. I managed to publish the article via phpMyAdmin but then something else happens. I try to access to article from the front end, by clicking on the link to the article, but only a blank page comes up. This is really weird, since the error log does not show any information. So I assume the error needs to be coming from Joomla! • How to prevent jQuery FancyBox from closing immediately after submit?

  Hi! I'm loading an inline registration form in a FancyBox from jQuery. However after submitting the form, the box immediately closes while there is some feedback that I want to show the user in the FancyBox itself. This feedback is generated on the server side and is printed in the FancyBox. How can I make the box only closing when their is no feedback anymore? I was thinking about using ajax to just refresh the FancyBox itself and not the whole page after refreshing. But I just can't figure out how this ajax $.ajax({type, cache, url, data, success}); works... Also it seems like there's no reaction from the 'submit bind' in the javascript. I'm pretty sure though that if it was working right, all my utmz, utma values etc should be copied over and remain the same, but they're changing.   Hi I am using a very simple JavaFx client to upload files. I read the file in chunks of 1 MB (using Byte Buffer) and upload using multi part POST to a PHP script. I want to update the progress bar of my client to show progress after each chunk is uploaded. The calculations for upload progress look correct but the progress bar is not updated. • How to make a css navigation menu "selected" option still clickable

  So I have a fairly simple vertical CSS menu based off of UL. <ul class="vertnav"> <li><a href="unselected1.php">Item1</a></li> <li><a href="unselected2.php">Item2</a></li> <li><a href="selected.php" class="vertnavdown">Selected</a></li> </ul> I want three basic colors (say tan for default LI, orange for VERTNAVDOWN, and red for A:HOVER. However I can't seem to get the vertnavdown class to inherit right, and the .vertnav li a:visited overrides it every time. if I use !important to force it through I can't seem to also get the hover to work. Any suggestions?
