  • Gtk, Setting GtkWindow Background from gtkrc file.

    - by PP
    I am trying to set background image to GtkWindow through gtkrc file using pixmap engine but it is not working out following is the rc file. style "theme-window" = "default" { xthickness = 1 ythickness = 1 GtkButton::inner-border = {10, 10, 10, 10} text[NORMAL] = "#FFFFFF" text[ACTIVE] = "#000000" text[PRELIGHT] = "#FFFFFF" text[INSENSITIVE] = "#787878" text[SELECTED] = "#FFFFFF" engine "pixmap" { image { function = FLAT_BOX state = NORMAL recolorable = TRUE file = "NarrowVideo.png" border = { 0, 0, 0, 0 } stretch = TRUE } image { function = FLAT_BOX state = ACTIVE recolorable = TRUE file = "NarrowVideo.png" border = { 0, 0, 0, 0 } stretch = TRUE } } } class "GtkWindow" style "theme-window"

  • Drupal Override Custom Menu Template

    - by JaZz
    Hi Guys, I created a custom menu called "sub-top-nav" and now I'd like to override the html output. In particular I would like to add an unique class to each item like. This is how it looks atm: <div class="clear-block block block-menu" id="block-menu-menu-sub-top-nav"> <div class="content"> <ul class="menu"> <li class="leaf first"><a title="Test 1" href="/test1">Test 1</a></li> <li class="leaf"><a title="Test 2" href="/test2">Test 2</a></li> <li class="leaf active-trail"><a class="active" title="Test 3" href="/test3">Test 3</a></li> <li class="leaf last"><a title="Test 4" href="/test4">Test 4</a></li> </ul> </div> </div> And I'd like to change it into: <div class="clear-block block block-menu" id="block-menu-menu-sub-top-nav"> <div class="content"> <ul class="menu"> <li class="leaf test1 first"><a title="Test 1" href="/test1">Test 1</a></li> <li class="leaf test2"><a title="Test 2" href="/test2">Test 2</a></li> <li class="leaf test3 active-trail"><a class="active" title="Test 3" href="/test3">Test 3</a></li> <li class="leaf test4 last"><a title="Test 4" href="/test4">Test 4</a></li> </ul> </div> </div> This would give me more styling power. Any idea how that works? Thanks in advance!

  • Rails ActiveResource Associations

    - by brad
    I have some ARes models (see below) that I'm trying to use associations with (which seems to be wholly undocumented and maybe not possible but I thought I'd give it a try) So on my service side, my ActiveRecord object will render something like render :xml => @group.to_xml(:include => :customers) (see generated xml below) The models Group and Customers are HABTM On my ARes side, I'm hoping that it can see the <customers> xml attribute and automatically populate the .customers attribute of that Group object , but the has_many etc methods aren't supported (at least as far as I can tell) So I'm wondering how ARes does it's reflection on the XML to set the attributes of an object. In AR for instance I could create a def customers=(customer_array) and set it myself, but this doesn't seem to work in ARes. One suggestion I found for an "association" is the just have a method def customers Customer.find(:all, :conditions => {:group_id => self.id}) end But this has the disadvantage that it makes a second service call to look up those customers... not cool I'd like my ActiveResource model to see that the customers attribute in the XML and automatically populate my model. Anyone have any experience with this?? # My Services class Customer < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :groups end class Group < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :customer end # My ActiveResource accessors class Customer < ActiveResource::Base; end class Group < ActiveResource::Base; end # XML from /groups/:id?customers=true <group> <domain>some.domain.com</domain> <id type="integer">266</id> <name>Some Name</name> <customers type="array"> <customer> <active type="boolean">true</active> <id type="integer">1</id> <name>Some Name</name> </customer> <customer> <active type="boolean" nil="true"></active> <id type="integer">306</id> <name>Some Other Name</name> </customer> </customers> </group>

  • Flash - Ease out scrolling moviclip, scrolled by sensor on each side

    - by webfac
    I am hoping someone can shed some light on this issue for me... I have a movieclip that is scrolled by means of a 'sensor' on each side of the stage. The clip scrolls fine in both directions, however here is my problem: When the users mouse leaves the stage, the movie clip stops dead in it's tracks, and this does not provide a noce smooth effect. Looking at the code below, is there any way I could tell the animation to ease out when the users mouse leaves the stage rather than simply stop suddenly? Much appreciated! class Sensor extends MovieClip { public function Sensor() { } public function onEnterFrame() { // var active:Boolean; // is mouse within sensor? if ((_level2._xmouse >= this._x) && _level2._xmouse <= (this._x + this._width)) { active = true; } else { active = false; } if(active) { // which area of the sensor is it in? var relative_position:Number; var relative_difference:Number; relative_position = _level2._xmouse / this._width * 100.0; //_level2._logger.message("relative position is " + relative_position); if (!isNaN(relative_position)) { // depending on which area it is in, tend towards a particular adjustment if(relative_position > _level2._background_right_threshold) { relative_difference = Math.abs(relative_position - _level2._background_right_threshold); //relative_difference = 10; } else if(relative_position < _level2._background_left_threshold) { relative_difference = Math.abs(_level2._background_left_threshold - relative_position); relative_difference *= -1; } else { _level2._background_ideal_adjustment = 0; } var direction:Number; if(_level2._pan_direction == "left") { direction = 1; } else { direction = -1; } _level2._background_ideal_adjustment = direction * (relative_difference / 10) * _level2._pan_augmentation; //_level2._logger.message("ideal adjustment is " + _level2._background_ideal_adjustment); if (!isNaN(_level2._background_ideal_adjustment)) { // what is the difference between the ideal adjustment and the current adjustment? // add a portion of the difference to the adjustment: // this has the effect that the adjustment "tends towards" the ideal var difference:Number; difference = _level2._background_ideal_adjustment - _level2._background_adjustment; _level2._background_adjustment += (difference / _level2._background_tension); // calculate what the new background _x position would be var background_x:Number; var projected_x:Number; background_x = _level2["_background"]._x; projected_x = background_x += _level2._background_adjustment; //_level2._logger.message("projected _x is " + projected_x); // if the _x position is valid, change it if(projected_x > 0) projected_x = 0; if(projected_x < -(_level2["_background"]._width - Stage.width)) projected_x = -(_level2["_background"]._width - Stage.width); _level2["_background"]._x = projected_x; // i recommend that you move your other movieclips with code here } } } } }

  • RCP applicatoon activities

    - by Peter
    I have a problem with my RCP application. First, I defined an activity in my plugin.xml: <extension point="org.eclipse.ui.activities"> <activity id="myproject.view.input.activity" name="myproject.view.input.activity"> <enabledWhen> <with variable="myproject.view.input.active"> <equals value="ENABLED"> </equals> </with> </enabledWhen> </activity> <activityPatternBinding activityId="myproject.view.input.activity" pattern="myproject.gui/myproject.view.input"> </activityPatternBinding> Then i defined my SourceProvider: <extension point="org.eclipse.ui.services"> <sourceProvider provider="myproject.util.CommandState"> <variable name="myproject.view.input.active" priorityLevel="workbench"> </variable> And, finally, my CommandState class: public class CommandState extends AbstractSourceProvider { public final static String OUTPUT_VIEW = "myproject.view.input.active"; // then goes some others variables, i just skip them // .... public final static String [] ACTIONS = {OUTPUT_VIEW /*and all others variables*/}; public final static String ENABLED = "ENABLED"; public final static String DISENABLED = "DISENABLED"; private final Map <String, String> currentState = new HashMap <String, String> (); @Override public void dispose() { } @Override public String[] getProvidedSourceNames() { return ACTIONS; } @Override public Map <String, String> getCurrentState() { return currentState; } public void setEnabled(boolean enabled, String [] commands) { String value = enabled ? ENABLED : DISENABLED; for (String command : commands) { currentState.put(command, value); fireSourceChanged(ISources.WORKBENCH, command, value); } } } In my Login window, application checks user permissions, and enable or disable views, commands, etc. with setEnabled method of CommandState. For commands it works fine, they are enabling or disabling correctly. But when i try to disable view and open perspective, that contains that view (myproject.view.input), it opened without that view, but also throws exception: !STACK 1 org.eclipse.ui.PartInitException: Could not create view: myproject.view.input at org.eclipse.ui.internal.ViewFactory.createView(ViewFactory.java:158) I can show full stacktrace if anyone want. I tried to debug my application and before i open my perspective whith that view, i checked currentState of my CommandState source provider, and all seemes to be ok: all variables values are correct and myproject.view.input.active = DISABLED Can anyone say, why exception is thrown? Thanks for any help. Sorry for big post and bad language

  • sharepoint full text query with attributes missing isn't returning the results I expected

    - by Jason Hocker
    If I am doing a search in sharepoint, some of the results I'm expecting are not being returned. I believe its because in active directory these entries may not have all the fields. So a name that doesn't have the givenName attribute set in active directory is not being returned from this query. Is there a way I can get this to work like I expected? "select LastName, FirstName, PreferredName, AccountName from scope() where \"scope\"='People' AND (LastName like '%" + search + "%' OR FirstName like '%" + search + "%' OR PreferredName like '%" + search + "%')";

  • In Rails, how should I implement a Status field for a Tasks app - integer or enum?

    - by Doug
    For a Rails 3.0 Todo app, I have a Tasks model with a Status field. What's the best way to store the Status field data (field type) and still display a human-readable version in a view (HTML table)? Status can be: 0 = Normal 1 = Active 2 = Completed Right now I have this: Rails Schema Here: create_table "tasks", :force = true do |t| t.integer "status", :limit = 1, :default = 0, :null = false Rails Model Here: class Task < ActiveRecord::Base validates_inclusion_of :status, :in => 0..2, :message => "{{value}} must be 0, 1, or 2" Rails View Here: <h1>Listing tasks</h1> <table> <tr> <th>Status</th> <th>Name</th> <th></th> <th></th> <th></th> </tr> <% @tasks.each do |task| %> <tr> <td><%= task.status %></td> <td><%= task.name %></td> <td><%= link_to 'Show', task %></td> <td><%= link_to 'Edit', edit_task_path(task) %></td> <td><%= link_to 'Delete', task, :confirm => 'Are you sure?', :method => :delete %></td> </tr> <% end %> </table> Requirements Store a Task's status in the db such that the values are easily localizable, i.e. I'm not sure I want to store "normal", "active", "completed" as a string field. Solution must work with Rails 3.0. Questions: Should I store the field as an integer (see above)? If so, how do I display the correct human readable status in an HTML table in my Rails view, e.g. show "Active" instead of "1" in the HTML table. Should I use an enum? If so, is this easy to localize later? Should I use straight strings, e.g. "Normal", "Active", "Completed" Can you provide a quick code sample of the view helper, controller or view code to make this work?

  • Google Maps iPhone API Terrain View

    - by Adam
    We're using MapKit on an iPhone app to display a Google Map with terrain view. However, the terrain view only shows when the user has an active Internet connection, the moment the user's Internet is off, the terrain on the map disappears and it appears flat. Is there any way to keep the terrain view on even when the user isn't on an active internet connection? Thanks! Adam

  • \center environment centers the whole document in LaTeX

    - by Seamus
    I have the following line between my \maketitle and my \begin{abstract}: \center{ \textsc{Some text here} } This seems to cause the ENTIRE DOCUMENT to be formatted as centered. Why is this and how should I get around it? Part two: Is there a way to get some text to appear only when the [draft] option is active. For example, when the draft option is active, I want some text to appear between my title and abstract: "draft: do not cite without permission" or some such.

  • Wondering about a way to conserve memory in C# using List<> with structs

    - by Michael Ryan
    I'm not even sure how I should phrase this question. I'm passing some CustomStruct objects as parameters to a class method, and storing them in a List. What I'm wondering is if it's possible and more efficient to add multiple references to a particular instance of a CustomStruct if a equivalent instance it found. This is a dummy/example struct: public struct CustomStruct { readonly int _x; readonly int _y; readonly int _w; readonly int _h; readonly Enum _e; } Using the below method, you can pass one, two, or three CustomStruct objects as parameters. In the final method (that takes three parameters), it may be the case that the 3rd and possibly the 2nd will have the same value as the first. List<CustomStruct> _list; public void AddBackground(CustomStruct normal) { AddBackground(normal, normal, normal); } public void AddBackground(CustomStruct normal, CustomStruct hover) { AddBackground(normal, hover, hover); } public void AddBackground(CustomStruct normal, CustomStruct hover, CustomStruct active) { _list = new List<CustomStruct>(3); _list.Add(normal); _list.Add(hover); _list.Add(active); } As the method stands now, I believe it will create new instances of CustomStruct objects, and then adds a reference of each to the List. It is my understanding that if I instead check for equality between normal and hover and (if equal) insert normal again in place of hover, when the method completes, hover will lose all references and eventually be garbage collected, whereas normal will have two references in the List. The same could be done for active. That would be better, right? The CustomStruct is a ValueType, and therefore one instance would remain on the Stack, and the three List references would just point to it. The overall List size is determined not by the object Type is contains, but by its Capacity. By eliminating the "duplicate" CustomStuct objects, you allow them to be cleaned up. When the CustomStruct objects are passed to these methods, new instances are created each time. When the structs are added to the List, is another copy made? For example, if i pass just one CustomStruct, AddBackground(normal) creates a copy of the original variable, and then passes it three times to Addbackground(normal, hover, active). In this method, three copies are made of the original copy. When the three local variables are added to the List using Add(), are additional copies created inside Add(), and does that defeat the purpose of any equality checks as previously mentioned? Am I missing anything here?

  • jQuery: tabs where the tab/content can be linked to

    - by Ricardo Zea
    My issue is simple. I have already implemented a tab system, and I'd probably spend more time implementing another one with the solution I need, than giving a shot at adapting the code I have, and learn something while asking :) My problem is that the tabs can't be linked to, I need to be able to link to a tab from another website or page, and have that tab get selected upon page load. ie: I have three tabs showing different products, by default tab 1 is active/selected when the page loads. From the home page I want to link to tab 2 but I can't link to tab 2 because it doesn't get selected. Not sure if that makes sense. Tabs: <ul> <li><a href="products.php">Product 1</a></li> <li><a href="products.php">Product 2</a></li> <li><a href="products.php">Product 3</a></li> </ul> <div class="tab_container"> <div id="tab1" class="tab_content">Product 1 info...</div> <div id="tab2" class="tab_content">Product 2 info...</div> <div id="tab3" class="tab_content">Product 3 info...</div> </div> my jQuery: $(document).ready(function() { //Default Action $(".tab_content").hide(); $("ul.tabs li:first").addClass("active").show(); $(".tab_content:first").show(); //On Click Event $("ul.tabs li").click(function() { $("ul.tabs li").removeClass("active"); $(this).addClass("active"); $(".tab_content").hide(); var activeTab = $(this).find("a").attr("href"); $(activeTab).fadeIn(); return false; }); }); Is there a way this code can be adapted to be able to link to any tab from anywhere and have that tab get selected when the page loads? Thanks in advance.

  • java timer on current instance

    import java.util.Scanner; import java.util.Timer; import java.util.TimerTask; public class Boggle { Board board; Player player; Timer timer; boolean active; static Scanner in = new Scanner(System.in); public Boggle() { board = new Board(4); timer = new Timer(); } public void newGame() { System.out.println("Please enter your name: "); String line = in.nextLine(); player = new Player(line); active = true; board.shuffle(); System.out.println(board); timer.schedule(new timesUP(), 20000); while(active) { String temp = in.nextLine(); player.addGuess(temp); } } public void endGame() { active = false; int score = Scoring.calculate(player, board); System.out.println(score); } class timesUP extends TimerTask { public void run() { endGame(); } } public static void main(String[] args) { Boggle boggle = new Boggle(); boggle.newGame(); } } I have the above class which should perform a loop for a given length of time and afterwards invoke an instance method. Essentially I need the loop in newGame() to run for a minute or so before endGame() is invoked on the current instance. However, using the Timer class I'm not sure how I would invoke the method I need on the current instance since I can't pass any parameters to the timertasks run method? Is there an easy way to do this or am I going about this the wrong way? (note: this is a console project only, no GUI) ========== code edited I've changed the code to the above following the recommendations, and it works almost as I expect however the thread still doesnt seem to end properly. I was the while loop would die and control would eventually come back to the main method. Any ideas?

  • Grails Navigation with Dynamic Values

    - by TripWired
    I'm using the grails navigation plugin and one of the things i want to do is have the menu item have a dynamic number in it for example static navigation = [ group:'tabs', order:7, title:'Mail', action:'index', subItems: [ [action:'pending', order:1, title:"Pending"], [action:'active', order:10, title:'Active'], [action:'completed', order:11, title:'Completed'] ] ] So i want to figure out a way to make the title Mail(3) or Mail(2) based on the amount of messages a user has. I know this will have to be set in the method or by a service of some sort i'm just not sure how to get it to update.

  • regex to break a string into "key" / "value" pairs when # of pairs is variable?

    - by user141146
    Hi, I'm using Ruby 1.9 and I'm wondering if there's a simple regex way to do this. I have many strings that look like some variation of this: str = "Allocation: Random, Control: Active Control, Endpoint Classification: Safety Study, Intervention Model: Parallel Assignment, Masking: Double Blind (Subject, Caregiver, Investigator, Outcomes Assessor), Primary Purpose: Treatment" The idea is that I'd like to break this string into its functional components Allocation: Random Control: Active Control Endpoint Classification: Safety Study Intervention Model: Parallel Assignment Masking: Double Blind (Subject, Caregiver, Investigator, Outcomes, Assessor) Primary Purpose: Treatment The "syntax" of the string is that there is a "key" which consists of one or more "words or other characters" (e.g. Intervention Model) followed by a colon (:). Each key has a corresponding "value" (e.g., Parallel Assignment) that immediately follows the colon (:)…The "value" consists of words, commas (whatever), but the end of the "value" is signaled by a comma. The # of key/value pairs is variable. I'm also assuming that colons (:) aren't allowed to be part of the "value" and that commas (,) aren't allowed to be part of the "key". One would think that there is a "regexy" way to break this into its component pieces, but my attempt at making an appropriate matching regex only picks up the first key/value pair and I'm not sure how to capture the others. Any thoughts on how to capture the other matches? regex = /(([^,]+?): ([^:]+?,))+?/ => /(([^,]+?): ([^:]+?,))+?/ irb(main):139:0> str = "Allocation: Random, Control: Active Control, Endpoint Classification: Safety Study, Intervention Model: Parallel Assignment, Masking: Double Blind (Subject, Caregiver, Investigator, Outcomes Assessor), Primary Purpose: Treatment" => "Allocation: Random, Control: Active Control, Endpoint Classification: Safety Study, Intervention Model: Parallel Assignment, Masking: Double Blind (Subject, Caregiver, Investigator, Outcomes Assessor), Primary Purpose: Treatment" irb(main):140:0> str.match regex => #<MatchData "Allocation: Random," 1:"Allocation: Random," 2:"Allocation" 3:" Random,"> irb(main):141:0> $1 => "Allocation: Random," irb(main):142:0> $2 => "Allocation" irb(main):143:0> $3 => " Random," irb(main):144:0> $4 => nil

  • How to create 2 different scripts for 2 browsers (IE+all the rest)

    - by Barnabas Nagy
    I'm trying to solve an IE CSS issue by using conditional tags. My jQuery that does the job of tabbed box effect calls an id that is inside the conditional tags. I've given new ids to IE so on IE the jQuery is not working. I tried to duplicate the script with the new id in one of the script but the 2 scripts seems to get in conflict. My jQuery (in between the head tags) is (for all all browsers except IE): <script> var currentTab = 0; // Set to a different number to start on a different tab. function openTab(clickedTab) { var thisTab = $(".tabbed-box .tabs a").index(clickedTab); $(".tabbed-box .tabs li a").removeClass("active"); $(".tabbed-box .tabs li a:eq("+thisTab+")").addClass("active"); $(".tabbed-box .tabbed-content").hide(); $(".tabbed-box .tabbed-content:eq("+thisTab+")").show(); currentTab = thisTab; } $(document).ready(function() { $(".tabs li:eq(0) a").css("border-left", "none"); $(".tabbed-box .tabs li a").click(function() { openTab($(this)); return false; }); $(".tabbed-box .tabs li a:eq("+currentTab+")").click() }); </script> And I would need this for IE: <script> var currentTab = 0; // Set to a different number to start on a different tab. function openTab(clickedTab) { var thisTab = $(".tabbed-box .tabs a").index(clickedTab); $(".tabbed-box ie-.tabs li a").removeClass("active"); $(".tabbed-box ie-.tabs li a:eq("+thisTab+")").addClass("active"); $(".tabbed-box .tabbed-content").hide(); $(".tabbed-box .tabbed-content:eq("+thisTab+")").show(); currentTab = thisTab; } $(document).ready(function() { $(".ie-tabs li:eq(0) a").css("border-left", "none"); $(".tabbed-box .ie-tabs li a").click(function() { openTab($(this)); return false; }); $(".tabbed-box .ie-tabs li a:eq("+currentTab+")").click() }); </script> Having the 2 scripts in the head conflicts with each other. Maybe there is a way to combine them?

I am curious if there's something subtley wrong with my remove function: int Heap::remove() { if (n == 0) exit(1); int temp = arr[0]; arr[0] = arr[--n]; heapDown(0); arr[n] = 0; return temp; } void Heap::heapDown(int i) { int l = left(i); int r = right(i); // comparing parent to left/right child // each has an inner if to handle if the first swap causes a second swap // ie 1 -> 3 -> 5 // 3 5 1 5 1 3 if (l < n && arr[i] < arr[l]) { swap(arr[i], arr[l]); heapDown(l); if (r < n && arr[i] < arr[r]) { swap(arr[i], arr[r]); heapDown(r); } } else if (r < n && arr[i] < arr[r]) { swap(arr[i], arr[r]); heapDown(r); if (l < n && arr[i] < arr[l]) { swap(arr[i], arr[l]); heapDown(l); } } } Here's my output i1i2i3i4i5i6i7 p Active heap: 7 4 6 1 3 2 5 r Removed 7 r Removed 6 p Active heap: 5 3 4 1 2 Here's my teacher's sample output: p Active heap : 7 4 6 1 3 2 5 r Removed 7 r Removed 6 p Active heap : 5 4 2 1 3 s Heapsorted : 1 2 3 4 5 While our outputs are completely different, I do seem to hold maxheap principle of having everything left oriented and for all nodes parent child(in every case I tried). I try to do algs like this from scratch, so maybe I'm just doing something really weird and wrong (I would only consider it "wrong" if it's O(lg n), as removes are intended to be for heaps). Is there anything in particular "wrong" about my remove? Thanks, http://ideone.com/PPh4eQ
