  I have apache with php 5.4 installed on a Windows 7 64bit machine. When I restart Apache I get the following: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:/PHP54/ext\\php_ldap.dll' - %1 is not a valid Win32 application The file is present but LDAP doesn't work, any idea what I am doing wrong? php.ini has the following settings [ldap] ; Sets the maximum number of open links or -1 for unlimited. ldap.max_links = -1 ;extension=php_interbase.dll extension=php_ldap.dll extension=php_mbstring.dll

• Form filter in symfony: imposible when a field is type "date"

  Hi, anyone has tried to create a symfony form filter from a class which has a field of type "date" ? When i do it, i get this error: 500 | Internal Server Error | Doctrine_Connection_Mysql_Exception SQLSTATE[HY093]: Invalid parameter number: number of bound variables does not match number of tokens stack trace I think the error dependens on this command: 'SELECT b.id AS b_id, b.day AS b_day FROM birthday b WHERE b.day = ? AND b.day <= ?', array('month' = '1','day' = '2', 'year' = '2014') but i dont know how can i solve it.. Any idea? Javi

• Resolve a URL from a Partial View (ASP.NET MVC)

  Working on an ASP.NET MVC application and needed the ability to resolve a URL from a partial view. For example, I have an image I want to display, but I need to resolve the virtual path (say, ~/Content/Images/New.png) into a relative path that the browser can use, such as ../../Content/Images/New.png or /MyAppName/Content/Images/New.png. Astandard view derives from the System.Web.UI.Page class, meaning you have access to the ResolveUrl and ResolveClientUrl methods. Consequently, you can write markup/code like the following:' /The problem is that the above code does not work as expected in a partial view. What's a little confusing is that while the above code compiles and the page, when visited through a browser, renders, the call to Page.ResolveClientUrl returns precisely what you pass in, ~/Content/Images/New.png, in this instance. The browser doesn't know what to do with ~, it presumes it's part of the URL, so it sends the request to the server for the image with the ~ in the URL, which results in a broken image.I did a bit of searching online and found this handy tip from Stephen Walther - Using ResolveUrl in an HTML Helper. In a nutshell, Stephen shows how to create an extension method for the HtmlHelper class that uses the UrlHelper class to resolve a URL. Specifically, Stephen shows how to add an Image extension method to HtmlHelper. I incorporated Stephen's code into my codebase and also created a more generic extension method, which I named ResolveUrl.public static MvcHtmlString ResolveUrl(this HtmlHelper htmlHelper, string url) { var urlHelper = new UrlHelper(htmlHelper.ViewContext.RequestContext); return MvcHtmlString.Create(urlHelper.Content(url)); }With this method in place you can resolve a URL in a partial view like so:' /Or you could use Stephen's Html.Image extension method (althoughmy more generic Html.ResolveUrl method could be used in non-image related scenarios where you needed to get a relative URL from a virtual one in a partial view). • Open Multiple Sites Without Reopening the Menus in Firefox

  Are you frustrated with having to reopen your menus for each website that you need or want to view? Now you can keep those menus open while opening multiple websites with the Stay-Open Menu extension for Firefox. Stay-Open Menu in Action You can start using the extension as soon as you have installed it…simply access your favorite links in the “Bookmarks Menu, Bookmarks Toolbar, Awesome Bar, or History Menu” and middle click on the appropriate entries. Here you can see our browser opening the Productive Geek website and that the “Bookmarks Menu” is still open. As soon as you left click on a link or click outside the menus they will close normally like before. Note: Middle clicked links open in new tabs. The only time during our tests that a newly opened link “remained in the background” was for any links opened from the “Awesome Bar”. But as soon as the “Awesome Bar” was closed the new tabs automatically focused to the front. A link being opened from the “History Menu”…still open while the webpage is loading. Options The options are simple to sort through…enable or disable the additional “stay open” functions and enable automatic menu closing if desired. Conclusion If you get frustrated with having to reopen menus to access multiple webpages at one time then you might want to give this extension a try. • Add a Search Box to the Drop-Down Tab List in Firefox

  Do you have a lot of tabs open no matter what time of day it is and find sorting through the tabs list frustrating? Then get control back with the List All Tabs Menu extension for Firefox. Before If you have a large number of tabs open using the “Tab List Menu” can start to become a little awkward. You can use your mouse’s middle button to scroll through the list or the tiny arrow button at the bottom but there needs to be a better way to deal with this. After Once you have installed the extension you will notice two differences in the “Tab List Menu”. There will be a search box available and a nice scrollbar for those really long lists. A closer look at the search box and scrollbar setup… Depending on your style you can use the scrollbar to look for a particular page or enter a search term and watch that list become extremely manageable. A closer look at our much shorter list after conducting a search. Definitely not hard to find what we were looking for at all. Conclusion If you are someone who has lots of tabs open at once throughout the day then the List All Tabs Menu extension might be the perfect tool to help you sort and manage those tabs. • Desktop icons disappears when Nautilus is launched, until next boot

  What happens: When I log in into my Ubuntu everything is normal, I have some icons on my desktop and I can see them at this point of time. As soon as I click on the explorer (nautilus) on the Launcher bar, everything goes (disappers) and never comes. No matter how many time you click on the launcher, you can't open nautilus. I tried opening nautilus from the terminal, get the following: santosh@santosh:~$ nautilus Initializing nautilus-gdu extension ** (nautilus:2158): DEBUG: SyncDaemon already running, initializing SyncdaemonDaemon object Initializing nautilus-open-terminal extension (nautilus:2158): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_action_set_visible: assertion `GTK_IS_ACTION (action)' failed (nautilus:2158): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_action_set_visible: assertion `GTK_IS_ACTION (action)' failed Segmentation fault I suspect on "Segmentation fault" on the last line, whats that? Error No such file or directory Please ask your system administrator to enable user sharing. As soon as I type sudo nautilus and hit enter, nautilus starts and the desktop background changes (to the default which ubuntu has). Don't know why but at this point as soon as I click on Desktop (from the left pane) then nautilus closes. Did anyone has same issue? I am corrently working with commandline to do my work and its a big pain. Additional Information: Another thing I have noticed that when I want to open the location of PDF file I am reading in document viewer (by clicking the folder icon). It gives error "Could not open the containing folder" and "Failed to execute child process "nautilus" (Permission denied)". Any idea?

Before Sometimes reading through the comments at YouTube can be interesting or even fun but at other times they can be a bother to you. After Once you have installed the extension all that you will need to do is refresh the page (if you were already watching a video). As you can see any and all signs of the comments section is gone. All nice and clean now… Conclusion If you love to check out your favorite videos on YouTube but are annoyed by the multitude of meaningless and profane comments, this extension for Chrome gets the job done. • Enjoy Seamless Reading at Twitter in Chrome

  Twitter can be a lot of fun but having to constantly use the More Button to view a large number of tweets is frustrating. All that you need to be rid of that frustration is the More Tweets! extension for Google Chrome. Before Here it is…the classic “More Button”. If you are only interested in viewing a few tweets on occasion then it is not a problem. But if you are looking at a large number of tweets on a daily basis then it can be very frustrating. Notice the last tweet from TinyHacker shown here… After After installing the extension the only thing that you will need to do is refresh your Twitter page if you had it open before-hand. Now there will be a seamless connection from page to page when you are reading through tweets. You can see the TinyHacker tweet from above followed oh so nicely by tweets from the second page…this is definitely an improvement. For those who may be curious if you are quick enough with your mouse you can see what the “automated connection process” looks like. Conclusion If you are tired of constantly clicking the “More Button” and just want to read tweets without interruption then you will be very satisfied after adding this extension to your browser. • Move the Status Bar Web Address Display to the Address Bar

  Is the ability to see the addresses for weblinks the only reason that you keep the Status Bar visible? Now you can hide the Status Bar and move that address display to the Address Bar in Firefox. Before Here is the normal “Status Bar” address display for the weblink we were hovering the mouse over in our browser. That is nice but if you really prefer to keep the “Status Bar” hidden what do you do? Move that display to a better (and definitely more convenient) location. After Once you have the extension installed that is all there is to it…you are ready to go. Notice the address display in “Address Bar”. That is definitely looking nice. Just for fun we temporarily left the “Status Bar” visible as a demonstration while hovering over the link. And then with the “Status Bar” totally disabled…more screen real-estate is always a good thing. Note: The Status Address Bar extension does not show the original address behind shortened URLs. Conclusion If you are looking for an alternate way to see the address behind weblinks and acquire more screen real-estate, then the Status Bar extension will be a wonderful addition to your Firefox Browser.   I have a VLC playlist (.xspf) of over a 100 songs all scattered all over my computer. I'm looking for a way to save this playlist and all it's songs to another folder - flash drive, external drive or just a different location in my computer. How can I do this? • Reclaim Vertical UI Space by Moving Your Tabs to the Side in Firefox

  Are you looking for a way to move your tabs to the side in Firefox and gain access to more vertical UI space? The Vertical Tabs extension for Firefox lets you accomplish both in a matter of moments. As soon as you install the extension and restart Firefox the Tab Bar will be automatically converted into a shiny new Vertical Tabs Sidebar. All that you have to do is start enjoying the extra vertical UI space. Some things to keep in mind when using the extension are: You can easily adjust the width of the sidebar to suit your needs using the mouse (very nice!) The first two toolbar items are each singular in their function and insert the following types of text. A look at the special characters available for your use. The wiki code menu. The HTML menu… And the BB code menu. Here is a quick sample using the HTML menu…much better than doing it manually. This should definitely help speed things up throughout the day. Our only disappointment during testing was not being able to add additional items (i.e. characters, tags) to the toolbar at this time. In its most recent post it mentioned an extension for Visual Studio 2010 and 2012 called IntelliCommand that implements something that I had wanted for quite some time: Some kind of dynamic help for hotkeys. IntelliCommand shows a popup when you press and hold Ctrl, Shift or Alt (or combinations thereof) for a configurable amount of time, or after you press the first key combination of a chord shortcut key (e.g. Ctrl-E) and wait for an (independently configurable) amount of time. In the following screenshot I pressed and released Ctrl-E, and after a short delay the popup appeared: The extension is available in the Visual Studio Gallery, so finding, downloading and installing it via the Extension Manager is extremely simple: The default delays (2000 / 1600 milliseconds) are a bit long for my liking, but this can be changed in Tools – Options: So far things are working great on my machine. Some known issues do seem to exist, though (e.g. that the extension doesn’t work on non-EN versions of Visual Studio). • XNA - Saving Game Data without TypeWriter?

  In the past, I've had some trouble with reading and writing content for XNA. I think I'm firmly set on this tutorial which sets up a four project structure (Game, Content, Library, Pipeline Extension) for the solution that other websites suggest, too. The options it offers for content reading seem great. But problem! This tutorial (and all others I've found) have stated that the Content Pipeline Extension Project is not distributed with the game, which is fine in itself, but this is combined with the fact that any content writing objects are placed in this non-distributable library. The ability to actually write content of an already existing type (save game files, namely) is pretty critical to the project I'm trying to make. I've already learned the hard way you simply can't place the Content Pipeline reference in another project besides the extension for easier access to the intermediate deserializer. Is there another object I can access for writing save game data? Am I actually, despite the warnings of this tutorial, able to use the TypeWriter outside of the Content Pipeline Extension Project? Or is there a third option I am missing here?

• Creating Descriptive Flex Field (DFF) Bean in OAF

  In this blog I will explain how to add a custom DFF in a custom OAF page.I am using XXCUST_DFF_DEMO table to store the DFF values.Also I am using custom DFF named XXCUST_PERSON_DFF.  Following steps needs to be performed to create this solution. 1) Register the custom table in Oracle Application2) Register the DFF3) Define the segments of DFF4) Create BC4J components for OAF and OA Page which holds the DFF I will explain the steps in detail below. Register the custom table in Oracle Application I am using custom DFF here so I have to register the custom table which I am going to capture the values.Please click here to see the table script. I am using the AD_DD package to register the custom table.Please click here to see the table registration script. Please verify the table has registered successfully. Navigation: Application Developer > Application > Database > Table Table has registered successfully. Register the DFF Next step is to register the DFF. Navigate to Application Developer > Flex Field > Descriptive > Register. Give details as below. Click on Reference Fields and set the Reference Field as ATTRIBUTE_CATEGORY. Click on the Columns button to verify that the columns ATTRIBUTE_CATEGORY,ATTRIBUTE1 .... ATTRIBUTE30 are enabled. DFF has registered successfully. Define the segments of DFF Here I am going to define the segments of the DFF.Navigate to Application Developer > Flex Field > Descriptive > Segments.Query for "XXCUST - Person DFF". Uncheck "Freeze Flexfield Definition". In my DFF the reference field I want to display a value set which has values "Permanent" and "Contractor". So define a value set  XXCUST_EMPLOYMENT_TYPE. Navigation: Application Developer > Flex Field > Descriptive > Validation > Sets After that assign the values to above created value sets. Navigation: Application Developer > Flex Field > Descriptive > Validation > Values Assign XXCUST_EMPLOYMENT_TYPE to Context Field Valueset. Setup the Context Field Values based on below table. Context Code Segments Global Data Elements Phone Number Email Fax Contractor Manager Extension Number CSP Name Permanent Extension Number Access Card Number Phone Number,Email and Fax displays always.When user choose Context Value as "Contractor" Manager Extension Number and CSP Name will show.In case of "Permanent" Extension Number and Access Card Number will show.  Assign value set also as follows. For Global Data Elements following are the segments. For "Contractor" following are the segments. For "Permanent" following are the segments. Check the "Freeze Flexfield Definition" check box and save.Standard concurrent program "Flexfield View Generator" will generate XXCUST_DFF_DEMO_DFV view which we mentioned in the DFF registration step.  Now the DFF has created successfully and ready to use. Create BC4J components for OAF and OA Page which holds the DFF Create the BC4J components ( EO,VO and AM) appropriately.Create the page based on the created VO.For DFF create an item of type "flex" with following property.  Note: You cannot create a flex item directly under a messageComponentLayout region, but you can create a messageLayout region under the messageComponentLayout region and add the flex item under the messageLayout region. In the Segment List property give the segment names which you want to display.The syntax of this is Global Data Elements|SEGMENT 1|...|SEGMENT N||[Context Code1]|SEGMENT 1|...|SEGMENT N||[Context Code2]|SEGMENT 1|...|SEGMENT N||... Eg: Global Data Elements|Phone Number|Email|Fax||Contractor|Manager Extension Number|CSP Name||Permanent|Extension Number|Access Card Number When you change the Context Value corresponding segments will display automatically by PPR in the page. You can attach partial action to the DFF bean programmatically so that you can identify the action related to DFF. pageContext.getParameter(EVENT_PARAM) will return "FLEX_CONTEXT_CHANGEDPersonDFF" when you change the DFF Context. Page is ready and you can test. When you choose "Contract" following output you can see. When you choose "Permanent" following output you can see.  Give proper values and press Apply.You can see values populated in the table.

  I have a schedule table I'm using jQuiry Sortable for editing. Each day is a UL, and each event is an LI. User can drag an event from day to day, or add new events by clicking a button, which appends a new dragable event (LI) to the fist UL (Sunday). I want to make each day accept only up to 10 events.     @Thanks Jeffrey Stephenson If you are looking at using any one of the new XML Based languages, lets say a docbook xml, or xproc, or what not, you can make use of JDeveloper's syntax highlighting and completion insight feature to ease out those extra keystrokes. All you need is a URL/local copy of the XML Schema for the language. Once you have, you can register it via Tools --> Preferences --> XML Schemas.   Remember to provide a new extension name [Using a default .xml extension did not work for me.] I provided my own extension .dbk for my docbook files. Once you save these settings, you can create new files that conform to the schema, and you get validation/completion insight/prompting for free.
