  • Is there a Drupal module for Forms with powerful CRUD style behaviour?

    We are building a website that contains a large number of database tables that need to be edited by the CMS administrator. Some of the tables are fed by form submissions from users on the front end of the website. Some of the tables are purely in the CMS and are used to create custom modules on the front end of the website. Although there is a forms module in Drupal, I think our requirements cannot be met by it. Does anyone know of a system that allows forms to be saved to a CRUD style database with the following features? Export of all database fields. View a summary of the records in a filterable table. With paging You can have one to many relationships in records eg To code this manually for 10 forms is A LOT of work. Particularly the one to many relationships. If there is a powerful module available it would save us writing one.

  • Is it good practice to call module functions directly in VB.NET?

    I have a Util module in my VB.NET program that has project-wide methods such as logging and property parsing. The general practice where I work seems to be to call these methods directly without prefixing them with Util. When I was new to VB, it took me a while to figure out where these methods/functions were coming from. As I use my own Util methods now, I can't help thinking that it's a lot clearer and more understandable to add Util. before each method call (you know immediately that it's user-defined but not within the current class, and where to find it), and is hardly even longer. What's the general practice when calling procedures/functions of VB modules? Should we prefix them with the module name or not?

  • Is there an apache module to slow down site scans?

    I am administering a few web servers. Each night, random hosts from the Internet are probing them for various vulnerabilities in php, phpadmin, horde, mysqladmin, etc. Is there a way (apache plugin?) to slow down the rate of attack? For SSH, I have a rate limiting rule on the firewall, which does not allow more than three connections per minute. But I don't want to rate limit all HTTP access, only the access that returns 404s. Is there such an apache module?

  • is there a multiple payment providers (paypal, ogone, ...) php module for use in a web app?

    We are building an ecommerce app where we want our users to pick out a (any provider we can make compatible with our app) payment provider. Up to today, we only support paypal and we have implemented this rather manually. We are looking for some sort of a module (free or commercial) to easily plugin in more payment providers to let customers accept payments through them. Our customers would use this to accept payments for sales in their web shops. Any ideas on such "modules"? I know of the Zend_Payment module but that's not updated anymore or isn't out yet at all. We run PHP in the Zend Framework if that matters.

    I'm trying to get the mod_h264_streaming to work with my Apache2 server. I downloaded a precompiled version of the mod from here. I read here that all I have to do is extract the file to my modules folder, which I did, and add LoadModule h264_streaming_module modules/mod_h264_streaming.so AddHandler h264-streaming.extensions .mp4 to the httpd.conf, which I also did. However, I get this error when I restart Apache: Syntax error on line 173 of C:/Program Files (x86)/Apache Group/Apache2/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load C:/Program Files (x86)/Apache Group/Apache2/modules/mod_h264_streaming.so into server: The specified module could not be found. Note the errors or messages above, and press the <ESC> key to exit. 26... Even though the file exists right here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Group\Apache2\modules\mod_h264_streaming.so Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

However, on the other side of the call, the remove function does not receive the argument. I even tried to replace the "Reference 1" line with module[command]("bob") but I get the same result.

  • Which Java modules get Spring Security

    I have a classic Java SOA application, with a web UI module, web services module, a service module (Java API), a domain module and a persistence module. In a sense, each of these modules has their own public API. My understanding of Spring Security is that I can use web filters to handle the security of the web gui and web services, and method level security (via annotations) for the service module. My question is this: should I bother to add method level security to the domain module and the persistence module or is that considered overkill?

    I've a backend module which could only be accessed by only authorized members. So I need to check authenticity for all actions and for all controllers. Currently I'm doing it inside preDispatch() functions inside controller classes. So it takes care of all the actions inside that controller. But still I've to do it for all controllers. Is there a place I could check it for all the controllers as well. So basically I want one place authenticity check for whole backend module. Can I do it in bootstrap?

  • What is the fastest way to Initialize a multi-dimensional array to non-default values in .NET?

    How do I initialize a multi-dimensional array of a primitive type as fast as possible? I am stuck with using multi-dimensional arrays. My problem is performance. The following routine initializes a 100x100 array in approx. 500 ticks. Removing the int.MaxValue initialization results in approx. 180 ticks just for the looping. Approximately 100 ticks to create the array without looping and without initializing to int.MaxValue. Routines similiar to this are called a few hundred-thousand to several million times during a "run". The array size will not change during a run and arrays are created one-at-a-time, used, then discarded, and a new array created. A "run" which may last from one minute (using 10x10 arrays) to forty-five minutes (100x100). The application creates arrays of int, bool, and struct. There can be multiple "runs" executing at same time, but are not because performance degrades terribly. I am using 100x100 as a base-line. I am open to suggestions on how to optimize this non-default initialization of an array. One idea I had is to use a smaller primitive type when available. For instance, using byte instead of int, saves 100 ticks. I would be happy with this, but I am hoping that I don't have to change the primitive data type. public int[,] CreateArray(Size size) { int[,] array = new int[size.Width, size.Height]; for (int x = 0; x < size.Width; x++) { for (int y = 0; y < size.Height; y++) { array[x, y] = int.MaxValue; } } return array; } Down to 450 ticks with the following: public int[,] CreateArray1(Size size) { int iX = size.Width; int iY = size.Height; int[,] array = new int[iX, iY]; for (int x = 0; x < iX; x++) { for (int y = 0; y < iY; y++) { array[x, y] = int.MaxValue; } } return array; } Down to approximately 165 ticks after a one-time initialization of 2800 ticks. (See my answer below.)     Greetings, I want to tinker with the global memcache object, and I found the following problems. Cache is a constant Cache is a module I only want to modify the behavior of Cache globally for a small section of code for a possible major performance gain. Since Cache is a module, I can't re-assign it, or encapsulate it. I Would Like To Do This: Deep in a controller method... code code code... old_cache = Cache Cache = MyCache.new code code code... Cache = old_cache code code code... However, since Cache is a constant I'm forbidden to change it. Threading is not an issue at the moment. :) Would it be "good manners" for me to just alias_method the special code I need just for a small section of code and then later unalias it again? That doesn't pass the smell test IMHO. Does anyone have any ideas? TIA, -daniel

    I am working on a drupal 6.x module which consists of several page as defined in the .module page. The problem is that when I visit those pages as admin, I get access denied. I thought that admin (user 1) could access anything?     Hi, I have started to use git-svn for some of my work to be able to do local commits. This works great for projects that use standard svn layout. Recently I started working on a Java project that is split into multiple connected modules (20-25), and each module have its own root folder in the same svn repo with its own trunk/branches/tags. svnrepo/ module-1 trunk branches tags module-N trunk branches tags I have cloned each and every module with git svn clone -s /path/to/svnrepo/module[1-N]. The "problem" is that when I want to do git svn rebase on all modules i have to do it N times. I have tried to do git svn clone /path/to/svnrepo/ do avoid doing the rebase operation N times, but that leaves me with a directory layout that is the same as in the svn repo. Is there a way that I can track all the trunks of all modules in one git repo? So that I get a directory layout like this within my git repository: module-1 module-2 module-N

    Kindly help. Am a beginner in C#. The details of my project work include: Front End: C# Back End: SQL MS Visual Studio 2010 Windows Application Quiz Module Each session contains 20 questions. At the end of the test, the test-engine will evaluate the answers. If the student obtains more than 50% then he can unlock the next module. And his test score is printed using Crystal Reports and saved in teacher's database, against that student's record. Else, if his score is less than 50%, the test-engine will count the no. of attempts to clear the quiz & randomly generate another set of 20 questions from a file (from the teacher's database). It's complicated for me cause am a beginner. Would appreciate some help. Thanks.
