  • Finding vars from dynamically created namespaces in clojure

    - by Tom Crayford
    The following test fails: (ns clojure_refactoring.rename-fn-test (:use clojure.test)) (deftest test-fn-location (in-ns 'refactoring-test-fn-rename) (clojure.core/refer-clojure) (defn a [b] (inc b)) (in-ns 'clojure_refactoring.rename-fn-test) (is (not= (find-var 'refactoring-test-fn-rename/a) nil)) (remove-ns 'refactoring-test-fn-rename)) That is, find-var (of a var I've just created, in a namespace I've just create) returns nil. This behaviour doesn't happen at the repl, where typing out the steps of the test works just fine. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just something that doesn't work in clojure right now?

  • Printing escape character

    - by danutenshu
    When I am given "d""\"/""b", I need to print out the statement character for character. (d, b, a slash, a backslash, and 5 quotes) in C++. The only errors that show now are the lines if(i.at(j)="\\") and else if(i.at(j)="\""). Also, how should the outside double apostrophes be excluded? #include <iostream> #include <cstdlib> using namespace std; int main (int argc, const char* argv[] ) { string i= argv[1]; for (int j=0; j>=sizeof(i)-1; j++) { if(i.at(j)="\\") { cout << "\\"; } else if(i.at(j)="\"") { cout << "\""; } else { cout << i.at(j); } } return 0; }

  • How To Parse String File Txt Into Array With C++

    - by Ibnu Syuhada
    I am trying to write a C++ program, but I am not familiar with C++. I have a .txt file, which contains values as follows: 0 0.0146484 0.0292969 0.0439453 0.0585938 0.0732422 0.0878906 What I have done in my C++ code is as follows: #include <iostream> #include <fstream> using namespace std; int main() { string line; ifstream myReadFile; myReadFile.open("Qi.txt"); if(myReadFile.is_open()) { while(myReadFile.good()) { getline(myReadFile,line); cout << line << endl; } myReadFile.close(); } return 0; } I would like to make the output of the program an array, i.e. line[0] = 0 line[1] = 0.0146484 line[2] = 0.0292969 line[3] = 0.0439453 line[4] = 0.0585938 line[5] = 0.0732422 line[6] = 0.0878906

  • Why this friend function can't access a private member of the class?

    - by Alceu Costa
    I am getting the following error when I try to access bins private member of the GHistogram class from within the extractHistogram() implementation: error: 'QVector<double> MyNamespace::GHistogram::bins' is private error: within this context Where the 'within this context' error points to the extractHistogram() implementation. Does anyone knows what's wrong with my friend function declaration? Here's the code: namespace MyNamespace{ class GHistogram { public: GHistogram(qint32 numberOfBins); qint32 getNumberOfBins(); /** * Returns the frequency of the value i. */ double getValueAt(qint32 i); friend GHistogram * Gbdi::extractHistogram(GImage *image, qint32 numberOfBins); private: QVector<double> bins; }; GHistogram * extractHistogram(GImage * image, qint32 numberOfBins); }

  • How to Create a Virtual Windows Drive

    - by HyLian
    Hello, I'm trying to create a Windows Virtual Drive ( like c:\ ) to map a remote storage. The main purpose is to do it in a clear way to the user. Therefore the user wouldn't know that he is writing/reading from another site. I was searching for available products, and i find that FUSE is not an option in Windows and WebDAV maps directly the drive, and i would like to build a middle layer between windows and remote storage to implement some kind of services. Another alternatives exists, such as Dokan, that is very expensive, and System.IO.IsolatedStorage Namespace, that doesn't seem to explicity create a new Windows Drive. Probably pismo ( http://www.pismotechnic.com/ ) is the thing that mostly matches my requirements but I would know if there is another alternative, including some Windows ( C++ or .NET ) native API to do that. Thanks for reading :)

  • Could someone tell me if my C++ indent style is named? (example given)

    - by Maulrus
    I'm learning C++. For me, my programming style is just what looks the best; it doesn't seem to follow the rules of any one particular style. Here's an example void f(int x){ //no space between close-paren and bracket if (!x){ cout << "x is non-zero\n"; } //closing bracket indented to the same level as the original statement } It's only slightly different for something like a class or a namespace: class myClass {}; //space between class name and bracket, otherwise the same as functions K&R style does uses that kind of bracketing for statements, but my style uses it for everything. I'd like to know if there's a name for it so I can say simply what my indent style is without having to explain using examples like these.

  • Is it good practice to export variables in Perl?

    - by gvkv
    I'm finding it very convenient to pass configuration and other data that is read or calculated once but then used many times throughout a program by using Perl's use mechanism. I'm doing this by exporting a hash into the caller's namespace. For example: package Myconfiguration; my %config; sub import { my $callpkg = caller(0); my $expsym = $_[1]; configure() unless %config; *{"$callpkg\::$expsym"} = \%config; } and then in other modules: use MyConfiguration (loc_config_sym); if ( $loc_config_sym{paramater} ) { # ... do stuff ... } However, I'm not sure about this as a best practice. Is it better to add a method that returns a hash ref with the data? Something else?

  • Referencing a different project in the same assembly, different namespaces

    - by Redburn
    I have two projects : Menu and Module and they are both in the same namespace foobar. I am currently referencing the module project from the Menu project to open up certain controls on a tab control in my menu. However I need to launch a new control from one of my controls which is located in the Module project. When I try referencing the menu project, it does not show up in my intellisense when I try to reference it with a using. Am I doing something wrong logically here? Here is an example of what it is : Project Menu Public Void LaunchWPFControl(string pHeader,string pPath) { //Code goes here to launch a WPF control in the browser } Project Module //What I would love to do but doesn't work Using Menu; ... ... ... private void dgModule_MouseDoubleClick(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { Menu.LaunchWPFControl("Accounts","AccountsControl"); }

  • Clojure: using *command-line-args* in the script rather than REPL

    - by Teflon Mac

What do I need to do such that in the below typing arg1 in the REPL will return the first argument? Script: (NS Test) (def arg1 (nth *command-line-args* 0)) After clicking on the Eclipse "Run"... • When iterating over values, why does typeof(value) return "string" when value is a number? Javascrip

    - by Mark
    I'm using Google Chrome for this test: Contrary to intuition, the first loop alerts "string" 3 times, while the second loop alerts "number" 3 times. numarray = [1, 2, 3]; //for-each loop for(num in numarray) alert(typeof(num)); //standard loop for(i=0; i<numarray.length; i++) alert(typeof(numarray[i])); I was expecting both loops to alert "number" 3 times. How is the first loop implemented in Javascript? In other words, if the for-each is syntactic sugar, what is its equivalent using a standard loop? Also, is there some way to iterate over an object's namespace using a standard loop? I'm looking to touch every one of some object's methods and attributes using a loop of the second kind. I'm new to Javascript and any help is highly appreciated, thanks.

  • WPF Creating an instance of a class in xaml

    - by Cloverness
    Hi, I have a problem with creating the instance of a class in xaml file. I thought you can do it like this: in the resource part of the user control and then use it in the xaml file (for example bind to it). But even tough the class I created is located in the same namespace it says that: "The type was not found. Verfiy that all assemblies were built, etc". How to get it right? is there another method? Thanks for suggestions.

  • XCode 5 says I got a duplicate, which I don't

    - by GoodMove
    The point is every time I try to run a C++ code in XCode 5 (the file s "File.cpp") xcode returns this: duplicate symbol _main ld: 1 duplicate symbol for architecture i386 clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) And it only returns the error, when I got the following function whatever it contains: int main() { } I checked the folder, which XCode points to (where it says the duplicates are placed), but didn't find anything though. What am I supposed to do??? #include "File.h" using namespace std; void func (void){ cout << "Hello World!" << endl; }

  • Guidelines for solution source code organisation(OO/DDD)

    - by fearofawhackplanet
    I'm starting on my first business project (.NET) and am trying to follow DDD principles. Are there any guidelines or common patterns for orgaining source code and namespaces? For example, do your domain objects go in a namespace MyProject.Domain or whatever? Would you separate the concrete implementations and the interfaces? In different namespaces? Different folders? Different solutions? I know a lot of this is subjective and dependent on project size, but a few pointers or suggestions to get started on a relatively small but extensible n-tier project would be useful.

  • C# Console Application Output to .csv file

    - by Zinn
    I am trying to make a program that will show the numbers: 1, 10 +30 2, 40 (the scale goes up in this pattern by adding 20 to the last number added) 3, 90 +50 4, 160 5, 250 +70 So far I have this code: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.IO;// namespace Myloop { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) /// </summary> { StreamWriter myOutputStream = new StreamWriter("loopdata.csv"); int forloop; for (forloop = 1; forloop < 21; forloop++) Console.WriteLine(forloop); Console.ReadLine(); myOutputStream.Close(); } } } This is showing the first sequence of numbers 1 - 20, but could anyone give me any guidance how to do the other sequence next to it in the console application and how I can output these to a .csv file, as the information I have so far doesn't appear in the .csv file

  • Is PThread a good choice for multi-platorm C/C++ multi-threading program?

    - by RogerV
    Been doing mostly Java and smattering of .NET for last five years and haven't written any significant C or C++ during that time. So have been away from that scene for a while. If I want to write a C or C++ program today that does some multi-threading and is source code portable across Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux/Unix - is PThread a good choice? The C or C++ code won't be doing any GUI, so won't need to worry with any of that. For the Windows platform, I don't want to bring a lot of Unix baggage, though, in terms of unix emulation runtime libraries. Would prefer a PThread API for Windows that is a thin-as-possible wrapper over existing Windows threading APIs. ADDENDUM EDIT: Am leaning toward going with boost:thread - I also want to be able to use C++ try/catch exception handling too. And even though my program will be rather minimal and not particularly OOPish, I like to encapsulate using class and namespace - as opposed to C disembodied functions.
