  • Paging doesn't work in the Joomla Article Manager in the admin section

    I inherited a Joomla site that is having a problem with the article manager in the admin section. The pagination doesn't work! If I click the page number, forward, back, or page size, nothing happens! So I found out that someone had previously installed the iJoomla SEO plugin, but it never worked so they removed it. I think it is incompatible with the version I have. I setup a local environment with almost the same setup (I have 5.2.11 vs the servers 5.2.13) with Wamp Server, and I found that some of the session variables are missing! When dumped via print_r(), the $_SESSION variable is missing the "com_content", "global", and "com_plugins" arrays! So I guess that is the reason that paging doesn't work, because the "com_content" array looks like it has paging info in it. (maybe I'm wrong) So I'm running Version 1.5.13 on PHP Version 5.2.13 Anyone know why this would happen? Thanks in advance!

I need a way to know that this client is the same that sent "0x1" before.

    Hi.I am making an app that it takes photos from web site for some Username and shows it on UITable with username then when clicking user name it shows photos for this user and then clicking to name of photo it shows full screen photo. My question is I am using NSData to get photos from internet.Am I have to save also those data to CoreDAta? I am using like when pressing name of user it again creates NSData and downloads photos from internet and shows them on UTable. And it takes time. What is good approach? and How can save this images to CoreDAta?   • Autofac in web applications, where should I store the container for easy access

    I'm still pretty new to using Autofac and one thing I miss in the documentation and examples is how to make it easy to get to the configured container from different places in a web application. I know I can use the Autofac controller factory to automatically resolve constructor injected dependencies for controllers, but how about the other stuff you might need to resolve that is not injected yet. Is there an obvious pattern I am not aware of for this? Thank you!

  • What is the maximum length in seconds to store a value in memcache

    The Google App Engine memcache documentation states that the time parameter of memcache.set() is an "Optional expiration time, either relative number of seconds from current time (up to 1 month), or an absolute Unix epoch time." So I tried to set a value for 30 days, which according to Google is 2 592 000 seconds. However, I highly suspect that this value is too high, because the value was set (memcache.set() returned the value True), but a memcache.get() just after always returned None. Reducing this value to 1 728 000 seconds just worked fine/as expected. I guess that once passed the highest value, the time parameter gets interpreted as an absolute Unix epoch time. That would mean that 2 592 000 seconds got interpreted as "Sat, 31 Jan 1970 00:00:00 GMT", which is obviously a date in the past... So what is the highest value you can enter that will get interpreted as a number of seconds in the future?

    Hi, I have to define an interface. The API in my homework is stated below: int generate_codes(char * ssn, char * student_id); int denotes 0 or 1 for pass or fail. studentid is an output param should return a 6 digit id. ssn is a 9 digit input param they school program will take ssn's and use my code to generate the student id. now from an API perspective should I not be using const char * for both parameters. should the studentid not be passed in by reference? rather than by pointer? can someone tell me how i can easily use the pointer in my test app which uses my api to get the pointer such that it prints a std::string from a char *? my app code looks something like const char * ssn = "987098765" const char * studnt_id = new char [7]; int value = -1; value = generate_codes(ssn,studnt_id); std::string test(studnt_id); std::cout<<"student id= "<<test<<" Pass/fail= "<<value<<std::endl; delete [] studnt_id; return 0; I basically got an error about << not being compatible with the right hand side of the operand. When i changed the code to std::cout<<"student id= "<<test.c_str()<<" Pass/fail= "<<value<<std::endl; then it worked but i get garbage for the value. not sure how to do get the value form the pointer. THe value inside the function prints just fine. but when i try to print it outside of the function it prints garbage. Inside the above function I do set the studndt_id like so std::string str_studnt_id = studnt_id; should that make the address of the str_studnt point to the address of studnt_id and thus any changes I make to the value that its pointing to it should reflect outside the function?

    Okay so the following line returns null because its path cannot be found: System.IO.FileInfo fi = di.GetFiles()[position]; What I am currently doing is: <asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server"> </asp:ScriptManager> <ctl:Gallery runat="server" ID="Gallery1" FolderUrl="~/images/1/" Size="100" /> When this is invoked System.IO.FileInfo fi = di.GetFiles()[position]; it has the value similar to this: C:\Users\SomeUsername\Desktop\Tiamo\(S(mr1h0l55ycuixfbtqxbmttek))\images\1 Any idea how I can return the virtual path without actually having the session key in there?     I'm having a problem using a machine level RSA key container when storing only the public key of a public/private key pair. The following code creates a public/private pair and extracts the public key from that pair. The pair and the public key are stored in separate key containers. The keys are then obtained from those key containers at which point they should be the same as the keys going into the containers. The code works when CspProviderFlags.UseDefaultKeyContainer is specified for CspParameters.Flags (i.e. the key read back out from the PublicKey container is the same), but when CspProviderFlags.UseMachineKeyStore is specified for CspParameters.Flags the key read back from PublicKey is different.     Hi! I am developing application using J2EE (JSF,RichFaces, Jetty/Glashfish). Sometimes when I click on some link I get nothing returned to the browser at all (blank page). But when i refresh the page all contents appears in page. After some trail and error i found that it is cookies problem: It happens bez some old cookie not deleted by browser so this problem occurs. We also change web.xml file: but it creates more problem it doesn't maintain the session in application. Please friends if you have any suggestion on this problem help us.

  • Alternatives to using web.config to store settings (for complex solutions)

    In our web applications, we seperate our Data Access Layers out into their own projects. This creates some problems related to settings. Because the DAL will eventually need to be consumed from perhaps more than one application, web.config does not seem like a good place to keep the connection strings and some of the other DAL-related settings. To solve this, on some of our recent projects we introduced a third project just for settings. We put the setting in a system of .Setting files... With a simple wrapper, the ability to have different settings for various enviroments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production, etc) was easy to achieve. The only problem there is that the settings project (including the .Settings class) compiles into an assembly, so you can't change it without doing a build/deployment, and some of our customers want to be able to configure their projects without Visual Studio. So, is there a best practice for this? I have that sense that I'm reinventing the wheel. Some solutions such as storing settings in a fixed directory on the server in, say, our own XML format occurred to us. But again, I would rather avoid having to re-create encryption for sensitive values and so on. And I would rather keep the solution self-contained if possible. EDIT: The original question did not contain the really penetrating reason that we can't (I think) use web.config ... That puts a few (very good) answers out of context, my bad.

In some other application I create several classes derived from the Linq2SQL classes. I'm able to add such a class to EntitySet but the application fails to submit changes. Is there any way around this?     I have standard arithmetic expressions sotred as strings eg. "WIDTH * 2 + HEIGHT * 2" In this example WIDTH and HEIGHT references other objects in my system and the literals WIDTH and HEIGHT refers to a property (Name) on those objects. The problem I'm having is when the Name property on an expression object changes the expression won't match anymore. One solution I came up with is to instead of storing "WIDTH * 2 + HEIGHT * 2" i store "{ID_OF_WIDTH} * 2 + {ID_OF_HEIGHT} * 2" And let my parser be able to parse this new syntax and implement an interface or such on referenced objects IExpressionReference { string IdentifierName { get; } } Anyone have a better/alternative solution to my problem?

  • How can web form content be preserved for the back button

    When a web form is submitted and takes the user to another page, it is quite often the case that the user will click the Back button in order to submit the form again (the form is an advanced search in my case.) How can I reliably preserve the form options selected by the user when they click Back (so they don't have to start from scratch with filling the form in again if they are only changing one of many form elements?) Do I have to go down the route of storing the form options in session data (cookies or server-side) or is there a way to get the browser to handle this for me? (Environment is PHP/JavaScript - and the site must work on IE6+ and Firefox2+)

    I use JSF managed beans calling EJB methods that are provide data from database. I want to use some data already on the welcome page of the application. What is the best solution for it? EJBs are injected into JSF managed beans and it looks like the injection is done after executing the constructor. So I am not able to call EJB methods in the constructor. The normal place for EJB call is in the JSF action methods but how to call such a method prior to loding the first page of the application? A possible solution would be to call the EJB method conditionally in a getter that is used on the welcome page, for example: public List getProductList(){ if (this.productList == null) this.productList = myEJB.getProductList(); return this.productList; } Is there any better solution? For example, in some config file?
