  • Use Dojo Drag and Drop together with Dojo Moveable

    - by Select0r
Hi, I'm using Dojo.dnd to transfer items between to areas. The problem is: the items will snap into place once I drop them, but I'd like to have them stay where I drop them, but only for one area. Here's a little code to explain this better: <div id="dropZone" class="dropZone"> <div id="itemNodes"></div> <div id="targetZone" dojoType="dojo.dnd.Source"></div> </div> "dropZone" is a DIV that contains two dojo.dnd.Source-areas, "itemNodes" (created programmatically) and "targetZone". Items (DIVs with images) should be dragged from a simple list out of "itemNodes" into "targetZone" and stay where they are dropped. As soon as they are dragged out of "targetZone" they should snap back to the list inside "itemNodes". Here's the code I use to create the items: var nodelist = new dojo.dnd.Source("itemNodes"); {Smarty-Loop} nodelist.insertNodes(false, ['<img class="dragItem" src="{$items->info.itemtext}" alt="{$items->info.itemtext}" border="0" />']); {/Smarty-Loop} But this way I just have two lists of items, the items dropped into "targetZone" won't stay where I dropped them. I've tried a loop dojo.query(".dojoDndItem").forEach(function(node) to grab all items and change them to a "moveable"-type: using dojo.dnd.move.constrainedMoveable will change the items so they can always be moved around (even in "itemNodes") using dojo.dnd.move.boxConstrainedMoveable and defining the "box" to the borders of "targetZone" makes it possible to just move the items around inside "targetZone", but as soon as I drop them, I can't grab and move them back out So here's the question: is it possible to create two dnd.Sources where I can move items back and forth and let the items be "moveable" only in one of the sources?Or is there a workaround like making the items moveable and if they're not dropped into "targetZone" they'll be moved back to the list in "itemNodes" automatically? Once the page is submitted, I have to save the position of every item that has been placed into "targetZone". (The next step will be positioning the items inside "targetZone" on page load if the grid has already been filled before, but I'd be happy to just get the thing working in the first place.) Any hint is appreciated. Greetings, Select0r

  • Managing database connections in an Android Activity

    - by Daniel Lew
I have an application with a ListActivity that uses a CursorAdapter as its adapter. The ListActivity opens the database and does the querying for the CursorAdapter, which is all well and good, but I am having issues with figuring out when to close both the Cursor and the SQLiteDatabase. The way things are handled right now, if the user finishes the activity, I close the database and the cursor. However, this still ends up with the DalvikVM warning me that I've left a database open - for example, if the user hits the "home" button (leaving the activity in the task's stack), rather than the "back" button. If I close them during pause and then re-query during resume, then I don't get any errors, but then a user cannot return to the list without it requerying (and thus losing the user's place in the list). By this I mean, the user can click on any item in the list and open a new activity based on it, but will often want to hit "back" afterwards and return to the same place on the list. If I requery, then I cannot return the user back to the correct spot. What is the proper way to handle this issue? I want the list to remain scrolled properly, but I don't want the VM to keep complaining about unclosed databases. Edit: Here's a general outline of how I handle the code at the moment: public class MyListActivity extends ListActivity { private Cursor mCursor; private CursorAdapter mAdapter; protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); mAdapter = new MyCursorAdapter(this); setListAdapter(mAdapter); } protected void onPause() { super.onPause(); if (isFinishing()) { mCursor.close(); } } protected void onDestroy() { super.onDestroy(); mCursor.close(); } private void updateQuery() { // If we had a cursor open before, close it. if (mCursor != null) { mCursor.close(); } MyDbHelper dbHelper = new MyDbHelper(this); SQLiteDatabase db = dbHelper.getReadableDatabase(); mCursor = db.query(...); mAdapter.changeCursor(mCursor); db.close(); } } updateQuery() can be called multiple times because the user can filter the results via menu items (I left this part out of the code, as the problem still occurs even if the user does no filtering). Again, the issue is that when I hit home I get leak errors. Yet, after going home, I can go back to the app and find my list again - cursor fully intact.

  • How to deploy 2 Sharepoint page leyouts

    - by mickey
I have a problem to deploy two page layouts, I can deploy one page layout with no problem but if I add another one the first one gets the same layout as the newly added second page layout... • Windows Workflow Foundation 4 (WF4) Error Handling

    - by Russ Clark
What is the best way to get error messages from a WF4 workflow back to a hosting ASP.NET MVC application? I need the workflow to not terminate, but continue to be active, and then pass a message back to the hosting app regarding the error, so the user can take an alternative action, but I'm not sure how to do that.

  • Oracle Trigger to persist value

    - by Jose Jose
I have a column that I need to be able to guarantee never gets set to anything other than "N" - I thought a trigger would be the perfect solution for this, but I can't seem to figure out how to make it so that anytime the column gets set to something other than "N" I reset it back to "N" Any pointers? EDIT: I wouldn't want to do a constraint because the application that will potentially change it to Y is outside of my control and I don't want it to be getting errors when it sets it to Y, I just want to passively set it back to N without fanfare.

  • Any significant performance improvement by using bitwise operators instead of plain int sums in C#?

    - by tunnuz
    Hello, I started working with C# a few weeks ago and I'm now in a situation where I need to build up a "bit set" flag to handle different cases in an algorithm. I have thus two options: enum RelativePositioning { LEFT = 0, RIGHT = 1, BOTTOM = 2, TOP = 3, FRONT = 4, BACK = 5 } pos = ((eye.X < minCorner.X ? 1 : 0) << RelativePositioning.LEFT) + ((eye.X > maxCorner.X ? 1 : 0) << RelativePositioning.RIGHT) + ((eye.Y < minCorner.Y ? 1 : 0) << RelativePositioning.BOTTOM) + ((eye.Y > maxCorner.Y ? 1 : 0) << RelativePositioning.TOP) + ((eye.Z < minCorner.Z ? 1 : 0) << RelativePositioning.FRONT) + ((eye.Z > maxCorner.Z ? 1 : 0) << RelativePositioning.BACK); Or: enum RelativePositioning { LEFT = 1, RIGHT = 2, BOTTOM = 4, TOP = 8, FRONT = 16, BACK = 32 } if (eye.X < minCorner.X) { pos += RelativePositioning.LEFT; } if (eye.X > maxCorner.X) { pos += RelativePositioning.RIGHT; } if (eye.Y < minCorner.Y) { pos += RelativePositioning.BOTTOM; } if (eye.Y > maxCorner.Y) { pos += RelativePositioning.TOP; } if (eye.Z > maxCorner.Z) { pos += RelativePositioning.FRONT; } if (eye.Z < minCorner.Z) { pos += RelativePositioning.BACK; } I could have used something as ((eye.X > maxCorner.X) << 1) but C# does not allow implicit casting from bool to int and the ternary operator was similar enough. My question now is: is there any performance improvement in using the first version over the second? Thank you Tommaso

  • Keep username in username field when incorrect password (php)

    - by Jonathan
How do many of the websites that have logins keep the username in the username field when the password is entered incorrectly. The form's action (it is on index.php) is another php file, which if the password is incorrect uses Header() to go back to the index and passes the error to it using GET. I could use GET to pass the username back to the form but this seems messy, and I have noticed that websites like SMF forums have the username stay in the username field without a messy URL.

  • Entity Framework without Transaction?

    - by Sue
Is there a way to use EF without transaction? I have very simple single insert and don't want to roll-back when something goes wrong as there may be a trigger logging then raising error from the DB side which I have no control over. I just want to insert then catch any exceptions but don't want to roll-back.

  • Mutating XML in Clojure

    - by mac
Clojures clojure.xml/parse, clojure.zip/xml-zip and clojure.contrib.zip-filter.xml/xml- are excellent tools for pulling values out of xml, but what if I want to change the xml (the result of clojure.zip/xml-zip) based on what I learn from xml- "queries" and write the result back out as xml? I would have expected that (clojure.contrib.prxml/prxml (clojure.xml/parse xml-content)) spit back xml, but that is not the case.

  • Design Patters in Rails

    - by Winston
I remember, I have a GoF book back in college about design patterns which helped me a lot with my C and C++ programming, since my jump ship to Rails I was trying to use those design patterns I learned previously, Rails is a relatively new paradigm to me, plurals, verbs, REST, DRY.. Can you give me a recommended book for Rails that I can easily understand what I previously learned back in College. P.S. I suspect Matz knew about the GoF book, and applied it on Ruby... :-)

  • TTNavigator doesn't use existing navigation bar (iPhone)

    - by user220770
I am using the three20 framework in one view controller of my App. I create TTNavigator object and open a url which works fine. The problem is that TT creates it's own navigation bar and does not use the existing bar. There is no back button on the new nav bar so I cannot go back to my previous view controller. Has anybody run into this issue? Any ideas on how to fix (besides not using three20)? Thanks

  • Directing stdout of system command in Perl to filehandle

    - by syker
With the open command in Perl, you can use a filehandle. However I have trouble getting back the exit code with the open command in Perl. With the system command in Perl, I can get back the exit code of the program I'm running. However I want to just redirect the STDOUT to some filehandle (no stderr). Is that possible?

Using TortoiseGit (I'm trying to avoid command line usage) how does one delete all commits that accended from a certain commit, and "get back in the past" (example usage: continued doing something, figured I didn't like where it was going, and decided to go "back" disregarding all in between).

    - by Moshe
I'd like to use Festival in an iPhone app. Is this possible, considering the way Festival generates and then plays back audio files? Can I pass Festival an audio file directly from itself to play back? or is there a different way to read things? Is there another Text-to-speech engine for C/C++ to use with iphone?

Is there a way to find out what page a ListView item is on and to programmatically go to that page? I have a ListView with a DataPager that controls the paging. The reason for this is that, if I am on Page 2 of the ListView and I navigate away from the page, when I go back, I want to go back to the ListView page I was previously on.

  • JqTouch - Detect trigger for animation

    - by majman
Yet another problem I'm having w/ jqTouch... I'm trying to detect what element was clicked to trigger an animation so that I can pass parameters from the clicked item to the subsequent page. My HTML is: <div id="places"> <div class="toolbar"> <h1>Places</h1> <a class="back" href="#">Back</a> </div> <ul> <li id="1"><a href="#singleplace">Place 1</a></li> <li id="2"><a href="#singleplace">Place 2</a></li> <li id="3"><a href="#singleplace">Place 3</a></li> </ul> </div> <div id="singleplace"> <div class="toolbar"> <h1></h1> <a class="back" href="#">Back</a> </div> </div> When I click on any of the list items in #places, I'm able to slide over to #singleplace just fine, but I'm trying to detect which element was clicked so that I can pass parameters into the #singleplace div. My javascript is: var placeID; $('#places a').live('mouseup',function(){ $('#singleplace h1').html($(this).text()) placeID = $(this).parent().attr('id'); }) I've tried several alternatives to the $(el).live('event', fn()) approach including: $('#places a').live('click',fn()... $('#places a').live('mouseup',fn()... $('#places a').live('tap',fn()... $('#places a').tap(fn()... None of which seem to work. Is there a better way I could be handling this? I noticed on jqTouch's issues page, there is this: http://code.google.com/p/jqtouch/issues/detail?id=91 which may be part of the problem...
