  • need help with acts_as_ferret and will_paginate to play nice together

    I have installed will_paginate and acts_as_ferret on my system for ruby rails. My paginate seems to work fine before installing acts_as_ferret. When I put in the code to do searching I get the following error: NoMethodError in Community#search Showing app/views/community/_result_summary.rhtml where line #3 raised: undefined method `total_entries' for []:Array Extracted source (around line #3): 1: <% if @users %> 2: <p> 3: Found <%= pluralize(@users.total_entries, "match") %>. 4: </p> 5: <% end %> If I take out the search function, paginate works but it's pointless because I can't do searches. Can any one help me out on this one?? Thanks!! Stephen

  • Jersey Test Framework with no Maven environment

    We do not use a Maven framework in our environments. Can you suggest a way to use the Jersey test framework for testing the Rest web services? I have tried to override the TestContaioner and TestContainerFactory interfaces to set up an AppDescriptor but I fail to understand how to set the LowLevelDescriptor to use the HTTPContainerFactory instead of the default one. I tried also settign the System property jersey.test.containerFactory. Does not work?Any ideas?

Once the question is anwered, it tells the user if they are right or wrong and gives them a Resume button to resume DVD playback. How do I do this.     In regard to this question I am curious how one can do post-request REST processing a la (crude): def postProcessor[T](content: T) = { request match { case Accepts.Json() => asJson(content) case Accepts.Xml() => asXml(content) case _ => content } } overriding onRouteRequest in Global config does not appear to provide access to body of the response, so it would seem that Action composition is the way to go to intercept the response and do post-processing task(s). Question: is this a good idea, or is it better to do content-type casting directly within a controller (or other class) method where the type to cast is known? Currently I'm doing this kind of thing everywhere: toJson( i18n("account not found") ) toJson( Map('orderNum-> orderNum) ) while I'd like the toJson/toXml conversion to happen based on accepts header post-request.

    I am looking to implement a navigation drawer selector which shows the currently selected item at all times when the drawer is opened and that is retained even when the drawer is closed. Something like this: I have used something like this but it only shows the selector when I click on the list item.     I'm trying to build a framework for MacOS in Xcode 3. It looks like it's building everything except the Headers directory according to the layout listed in the Apple documentation. I can't find anything that tells me what settings to use to get the build process to copy the headers into Headers directory in the framework, or alternately where I have to put those files. Years ago, when I was designing a game site, it was recommended to me to do what you pretty much suggested in your answer to a question about Flash sound: put my sound effects as Flash elements.   • How can I get jcifs to play nicely with apache axis

    I need to connect Apache Axis 1.4 to a Webservice that uses NTLM authentication to restrict access to its operations. I'm expecting to use Samba Jcifs to handle the NTLM handshake. I found http://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-client/ntlm.html which gives me fantastic directions for how to wire up HttpClient 4.0 with jcifs. Trouble is, Axis wants to use Http Client 3.0 and the two apis look very different. There are 2 possibilities that I can see Write an object for Axis that lets it plug into HttpClient 4. Figure out how to wire HttpClient 3.0 up with Samba Jcifs. Number 1. looks non-trivial, but possible Number 2. I cannot find any encouraging messages on the web describing how to do this. My question is: has anyone successfully connected samba jcifs with HttpClient 3.0 ? Has anyone already created an Axis HttpSender object that works with HttpClient 4 ? Is there some better alternative that I have not considered?

  • Getting closure-compiler and Node.js to play nice

    Are there any projects that used node.js and closure-compiler (CC for short) together? The official CC recommendation is to compile all code for an application together, but when I compile some simple node.js code which contains a require("./MyLib.js"), that line is put directly into the output, but it doesn't make any sense in that context. I see a few options: Code the entire application as a single file. This solves the problem by avoiding it, but is bad for maintenance. Assume that all files will be concatenated before execution. Again this avoids the problem, but makes it harder to implement a un-compiled debug mode. I'd like to get CC to "understand" the node.js require() function, but that probably can't be done without editing the compiler itself, can it?
