  • Drupal return number of results in a View

    I have a view in Drupal that filters my content. It brings back 7 rows. All I want to return is the number or results returned(7). Is this possible? I tried using the View result counter but it returns a number for each results 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 I just need the 7 part. So in SQL I would do a select count(*)

    Hi I try to index over results returned by an xpath. For example: xpath = '//a[@id="someID"]' can return a few results. I want to get a list of them. I thought that doing: numOfResults = sel.get_xpath_count(xpath) l = [] for i in range(1,numOfResults+1): l.append(sel.get_text('(%s)[%d]'%(xpath, i))) would work because doing something similar with firefox's Xpath checker works: (//a[@id='someID'])[2] returns the 2nd result. Ideas why the behavior would be different and how to do such a thing with selenium Thanks

    Hey, I don't know much about SEO and how web spiders work, so forgive my ignorance here. I'm creating a site (using ASP.NET-MVC) which has areas that displays information retrieved from the database. The data is unique to the user, so there's no real server-side output caching going on. However, since the data can contain things the user may not wish to have displayed from search engine results, I'd like to prevent any spiders from accessing the search results page. Are there any special actions I should take to ensure that the search result directory isn't crawled? Also, would a spider even crawl a page that's dynamically generated and would any actions preventing certain directories being search mess up my search engine rankings? edit: I should add, I'm reading up on robots.txt protocol, but it relies on co-operation from the web crawler. However, I'd also like to prevent any data-mining users who will ignore the robots.txt file. I appreciate any help!

    I've come up with a simple search view to search for records in my app. The user just enters all parameters in the search box then all this is matched against the database, then results are returned. One of these fields is the phone number....now in the database it's stored in the format XXX-XXX-XXX.   • Configuring Full-Text Search for pdf and docx files

    I think in may I was creating a little filters module based on Full Text-Search. I have configured my dev machine, the same for two testing servers – in our company for internal testing before we deployed it to client, and then on the testing client server. Until last week this build  was still on the testing server and finally we got feedback that we can deploy it on the production one. I only say that, I lost half a day because I had not correctly remembered what I was doing to configure the FTS on the previous servers and I had no notes for that. I foolishly believed in my memory. Lesson learned.   For future reference a bunch of steps to configure the FTS for searching in *.pdf and *.docx files (and by the way in other Office files like *.xlsx).   1. From the page (link) download and install the *.pdf IFilter for FTS. 2. To the PATH global system variable add path to the catalog, where you installed the plugin. Default for this version is: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe PDF iFilter 9 for 64-bit platforms\bin 3. From the page (link) download a FilterPackx64.exe and install it. 4. Now from SSMS execute the following procedures: -sp_fulltext_service 'load_os_resources',1 -sp_fulltext_service 'verify_signature', 0 5. Restart the server 6. Now we must check if the plugins are visible: -select document_type, path from sys.fulltext_document_types where document_type = '.pdf' -select document_type, path from sys.fulltext_document_types where document_type = '.docx' 7. If we see a result, then we can assume that everything is ok*. 8. Right now we can create a catalog for FTS and indexes on appropriate columns.     *I lost a lot of hours to find out, why the plugin for the *.pdf files wasn’t indexed any file in the database, but in the sys.fulltext_document_types table there was available a line for this plugin. After the deeper investigation I found that the *.pdf files actually were indexed. At least the EOF sign was added to the indexes and nothing more for each file. In the end the problem was that, I forgot to add the /bin in the path to the plugin in PATH variable..

    I want to grab a user's uploads (ie: BBC) and limit the output to 10 per page. Whilst I can use the following URL: http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/bbc/uploads/?start-index=1&max-results=10 The above works okay. I want to use the query method instead: The Zend Framework docs: http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.gdata.youtube.html State that I can retrieve videos uploaded by a user, but ideally I want to use the query method to limit the results for a pagination.   • Iphone SQLite Databse with german umlauts results in NULL value

    Hi guys, I'm quite new to the Iphone development and after search for an answer for 3 hours now, I hope that you guys can give me a hand. My problem is that I have a SQLite Database with german umlauts. Looking at it with a SQLite browser tool shows me that the data is stored with german umlauts, correctly. But selecting fields with german umlauts in it results in a NULL value. I'm already using "stringWithUTF8String", so I don't get the point where the problem is placed.   • Fulltext search on many tables

    I have three tables, all of which have a column with a fulltext index. The user will enter search terms into a single text box, and then all three tables will be searched. This is better explained with an example: documents doc_id name FULLTEXT table2 id doc_id a_field FULLTEXT table3 id doc_id another_field FULLTEXT (I realise this looks stupid but that's because I've removed all the other fields and tables to simplify it). So basically I want to do a fulltext search on name, a_field and another_field, and then show the results as a list of documents, preferably with what caused that document to be found, e.g. if another_field matched, I would display what another_field is. I began working on a system whereby three fulltext search queries are performed and the results inserted into a table with a structure like: search_results table_name row_id score (This could later be made to cache results for a few days with e.g. a hash of the search terms). This idea has two problems. The first is that the same document can be in the search results up to three times with different scores. Instead of that, if the search term is matched in two tables, it should have one result, but a higher score. The second is that parsing the results is difficult. I want to display a list of documents, but I don't immediately know the doc_id without a join of some kind; however the table to join to is dependant on the table_name column, and I'm not sure how to accomplish that. Wanting to search multiple related tables like this must be a common thing, so I guess what I'm asking is am I approaching this in the right way? Can someone tell me the best way of doing it please.

    Hi all, I am having a mental blank here and cannot for the life of me figure out a solution. My scenario is that I am programming in PHP and MySQL. I have a database table returning the results for a specific orderid. The query can return a maximum of 4 rows per order and a minimum of 1 row. Here is an image of how I want to return the results. I have all the orderdetails (Name, address) ect stored in a table named "orders". I have all the packages for that order stored in a table named "packages". What I need to do is using a loop I need to have access to each specific element of the database results (IE package1, itemstype1, package2, itemtype2) ect I am using a query like this to try and get hold of just the "number of items: $sql = "SELECT * FROM bookings_onetime_packages WHERE orderid = '".$orderid."' ORDER BY packageid DESC"; $total = $db-database_num_rows($db-database_query($sql)); $query = $db-database_query($sql); $noitems = ''; while($info = $db-database_fetch_assoc($query)){ $numberitems = $info['numberofitems']; for($i=0; $i $noitems .= $numberitems[$i]; } } print $noitems; I need to have access to each specific element because I them need to create fill out a pdf template using "fpdf". I hope this makes sense. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

  • Anomalous results getting color components of some UIColors

    I'm trying to extract the rgb components of a UIColor in order to hand-build the pixels in a CGBitmapContext. The following sample code works fine for most of the UIColor constants but, confusingly, not all. To wit: CGColorRef color = [[UIColor yellowColor] CGColor]; const float* rgba = CGColorGetComponents(color); float r = rgba[0]; float g = rgba[1]; float b = rgba[2]; float a = rgba[3]; NSLog( @"r=%f g=%f b=%f a=%f", r, g, b, a); The results for [UIColor yellowColor] above are r=1.000000 g=1.000000 b=0.000000 a=1.000000, as expected. [UIColor redColor] gives r=1.000000 g=0.000000 b=0.000000 a=1.000000, again as expected. Similarly for blueColor and greenColor. However, the results for [UIColor blackColor] and [UIColor whiteColor] seem completely anomalous, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong (if indeed I am). To wit, [UIColor blackColor] gives r=0.000000 g=1.000000 b=0.000000 a=0.000000, which is a tranparent green, and [UIColor whiteColor] gives r=1.000000 g=1.000000 b=0.000000 a=0.000000, which is a transparent yellow. I'd appreciate it if somebody could either: (1) explain what I'm doing wrong (2) replicate my anomalous results and tell me it's not me, or (3) hit me over the head with a big hammer so it stops hurting so much.     I'm setting up the environment for an intranet using WSS (Windows SharePoint Services) 3.0. The catch is getting the environment configured to work with MS Search Server 2008 Express. Here's the environment I'd like to setup: A: Web Server; Win Server 2003 SP2; WSS 3.0 SP2; IIS 6.0; .NET 3.5 SP1 B: Search Server; Win Server 2003 SP2; WSS 3.0 SP2; IIS 6.0; .NET 3.5 SP1; Search Server 2008 Express C: Database Server; Win Server 2003 SP2; SQL Server 2000 SP3 - Admin db, Content db, Config db, Search db The question is whether 3 servers can be used like the above configuration or if the Search Server (B) has to be combined with (A) since we're using the free Express version of the Search Server. The documentation from MS doesn't make it clear either way. I can attack this problem with trial and error but would rather not. The bigger question is: What is the best practice for a WSS / Search Server installation?

    I am trying to build a 'recent events' feed and can't seem to get either my query correct, or figure out how to possible merge the results from two queries to sort them by date. One table holds games/, and another table holds the actions of these games/. I am trying to get the recent events to show users 1) the actions taken on games that are publicly visible (published) 2) when a new game is created and published. So, my actions table has actionId, gameid, userid, actiontype, lastupdate My games table has gameid, startDate, createdby, published, lastupdate I currently have a query like this (simplified for easy understanding I hope). SELECT actionId, actions.gameid, userid, actiontype, actions.lastupdate FROM actions JOIN ( SELECT games.gameid, startDate, createdby, published, games.lastupdate FROM games WHERE published=1 AND lastupdate>today-2 ) publishedGames on actions.gameid=games.gameid WHERE actions.type IN (0,4,5,6,7) AND actions.lastupdate>games.lastupdate and published=1 OR games.lastupdate>today-2 AND published=1 This query is looking for actions from published games where the action took place after the game was published. That pretty much takes care of the first thing that needs to be shown. However, I also need to get the results of the SELECT games.gameid, startDate, createdby, published, games.lastupdate FROM games WHERE published=1 AND startDate>today-2 so I can include in the actions list, when a new game has been published. When I run the query as I've got it written, I get all the actionids, and their gameids, but I don't get a row which shows the gameid when it was published. I understand that it may be possible that I need to run two seperate queries, and then somehow merge the results afterword with php, but I'm completely lost on where to start with that as well.

I am attempting to retrieve all the entries from the relationship table that have a specific member in it, thus having to join it with the relationship_memberships table. I have the following method in my business object: public IList<DBMappings.relationships> GetRelationshipsByObjectId(int objId) { var results = from r in _context.Repository<DBMappings.relationships>() join m in _context.Repository<DBMappings.relationship_memberships>() on r.rel_id equals m.rel_id where m.obj_id == objId select r; return results.ToList<DBMappings.relationships>(); } _Context is my generic repository using code based on the code outlined here. The problem is I have 3 records in the relationships table, and 3 records in the memberships table, each membership tied to a different relationship. 2 membership records have an obj_id value of 2 and the other is 3. I am trying to retrieve a list of all relationships related to object #2. When this linq runs, _context.Repository<DBMappings.relationships>() returns the correct 3 records and _context.Repository<DBMappings.relationship_memberships>() returns 3 records. However, when the results.ToList() executes, the resulting list has 2 issues: 1) The resulting list contains 6 records, all of type DBMappings.relationships(). Upon further inspection there are 2 for each real relationship record, both are an exact copy of each other. 2) All relationships are returned, even if m.obj_id == 3, even though objId variable is correctly passed in as 2. Can anyone see what's going on because I've spent 2 days looking at this code and I am unable to understand what is wrong. I have joins in other linq queries that seem to be working great, and my unit tests show that they are still working, so I must be doing something wrong with this. It seems like I need an extra pair of eyes on this one :)

  • Geolocation and jQuery - Can't post results using ajax

    I'm currently working on a project to make a location-aware site. In essence, the user comes to the page, and their location is found using the HTML5 method and then using jQuery, the location is posted to a page which saves the location/address to a codeigniter session, but if they want to update their location, or change to a different location(IE they want to use their work address as the location instead of their present address), theres a jQuery colorbox that displays and lets them type in a custom address. Everything works flawlessly to get the initial location, but when I try and get the updated location saved, I receive the error "Uncaught TypeError: Object [object DOMWindow] has no method 'lat'" which then Google Chrome references as being an error not in jQuery, but in the file for Google Maps API.   • How do I grab and use a variables coming back through ValueList from an AJAX call?

Is there a way to return the GameID value without displaying it? The second thing: How to I grab a value from the auto-suggest once it is returned? Say I want to grab the GameID, or if I can't do that, the "TitleName" to use that in my query? I tried passing it to the form this way: action="search.cfm?GameID=#cfautosuggestvalue.GameID#" - but that does not work. How do I reference the autosuggestionvalue varaibles for use? Thanks

    I am trying to build one procedure to take a large amount of data and create 5 range buckets to display the data. the buckets ranges will have to be set according to the results. The problem is that if there are a small amount of very high (or very low) values then the buckets will appear very distorted - as in these results... range1 2806 range2 296 range3 75 range5 1 Basically I want to rebuild the SP so it creates buckets with equal amounts of results in each. I have played around with some of the following approaches without quite nailing it... SELECT modelpropvalue, NTILE(5) OVER (ORDER BY modelpropvalue) FROM xmodelpropertyvalues - this creates a new column with either 1,2,3,4 or 5 in it ROW_NUMBER()OVER (ORDER BY modelpropvalue) between @range1 and @range2 ROW_NUMBER()OVER (ORDER BY modelpropvalue) between @range2 and @range3 or maybe i could allocate every record a row number then divide into ranges from this?

  • Avoid MySQL multi-results from SP with Execute

    Hi, i have an SP like BEGIN DECLARE ... CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE tmptbl_found (...); PREPARE find FROM" INSERT INTO tmptbl_found (SELECT userid FROM ( SELECT userid FROM Soul WHERE .?.?. ORDER BY .?.?. ) AS left_tbl LEFT JOIN Contact ON userid = Contact.userid WHERE Contact.userid IS NULL LIMIT ?) "; DECLARE iter CURSOR FOR SELECT userid, ... FROM Soul ...; ... l:LOOP FETCH iter INTO u_id, ...; ... EXECUTE find USING ...,. . .,u_id,...; ... END LOOP; ... END// and it gives multi-results. Besides it's inconvenient, if i get all this multi-results (which i really don't need at all), about 5 (limit's param) for each of the hundreds of thousands of records in Soul, i'm afraid it will take all my memory (and all in vain). Also, i noticed, if i do prepare from an empty string, it still has multi-results... At least how to get rid of them in the execute statement? And i would like to have a recipe to avoid ANY output from SP, for any possible statement (i also have a lot of "update ..."s and "select ... into "s inside, if they can produce multi's). Tnx for any help...
