  • RadBook for Silverlight now supports virtualization

    I am proud to announce that RadBook, along with RadGridView, RadTreeView, RadTreeListView, RadChart and RadScheduler, now supports virtualization. With previous versions, it would take up to 16 seconds to load 1000 pages, where now it takes just 2 seconds to load a set of 10,000,000 (10 million) items.   The cause of the performance boost is the way RadBook handles the unnecessary(non-visible) elements. As you probably know, while turning a page, only four pages are visible at any given moment in time. Previous versions of RadBook would just collapse the unnecessary elements, which had a significant impact on the initial loading time. The new version of RadBook now takes advantage of the VirutalizingPanel and creates only as many elements as necessary for the book to render properly.     A couple of bits of news.   • Keep Side Navigation Fixed with Scrolling of page

    Hi Guys, I have a clients website - www.stagecraft.co.uk and they want the navigation on the hire pages (longer page) to still be there at when you scroll the page down. I've had a quick go (not live) with position fixed but in doing so it the leftside navigation is about 200px or so from the top of the window. Any when to get it at the top of the window when scrolling? Thanks in advance....

  • Hiding a navigation bar via scrolling (safari style)

    After a page is loaded in Safari on the iPhone, when you begin scrolling down, the navigation bar is also scrolled out of view. When you scroll back up, the navigation scrolls back into view. I'm looking to implement this same behavior using a UIWebView underneath the UINavigationBar, but I'm guessing it should be possible with any UIScrollView descendant. How can this behavior be implemented?
