  • PHP Not Automatically Updating With ?reload=1

    A friend built a ranking system on his site and I am trying to host in on mine via wordpress and godaddy. It updates for him but when I load it to my site, it works for 6 hours, but as soon as the reload is supposed to occur, it errors and I get a 500 timeout error. His page is at: jeremynoeljohnson .com/yakezieclub My page is currently at http://sweatingthebigstuff.com/yakezieclub but when you ?reload=1 it will give the error. Any idea why this might be happening? Any settings that I might need to change? Here is the top of the index.php file. I'm not sure which part of any of it is messing up. I literally uploaded the same code as him. My site is basically set up as follows _/js/bootstrap.js _/js/custom.js _/fonts/glypicon ...etc _/css/bootstrap.css _/css/custom.css _/php/ .. all my php files go here ... index.php can someone help me setup my app.yaml for this?   • Connection: Keep-Alive and PHP sessions not working

    We have a VB application that needs to run an specific flow on a PHP page. This application was correctly catching the PHPSESSID cookie and using it for all subsequent requests. However, PHP wasn't able to restore any changes made on $_SESSION variable. The variable was changed, saved, and on the next request it was restored as an empty array. We found out that changing the Connection header from "Keep-Alive" to "Close" fixed the issue. I couldn't find anything on the web saying that PHP sessions shouldn't be restored under Keep-Alive connections. Does anyone know why this was happening? PS: We didn't find anything weird or different on Apache, ModSecurity or PHP configuration settings.

  • Ajax progress with PHP session

    I have an app that processes images and use jQuery to display progress to the user. I done this with writing to a textfile each time and image is processed and than read this status with a setInterval. Because no images are actually written in the processing (I do it in PHP's memory) I thought a log.txt would be a solution, but I am not sure about all the fopen and fread's. Is this prone to issues? I tried also with PHP sessions, but can't seem to get it to work, I don't get why..     Why is it that I can never get JQuery serialize to work properly. I guess I must be missing something. WHERE user='X'"); the data passed only ever gets the first variable. why? I think it is more the way I deal with the php but it drives me nuts and always takes me far too long to find where I am going wrong.

    I am going crazy with this one I have this folders and files structure / /projects /mytest /install /index.php /product /resources So, inside my install/index.php file I am trying to verify if /product folder does exist. I know that the folder exists, but looks like PHP doesn't. But for files of size10MB, it's not echoing 'File uploaded exceeds maximum upload size.' as expected. Its also not uploading the file of size10MB. But the $u gets incremented. But none of the statements like "Upload is successful" or "if stmt failed so error" are being echoed as well. However the statement "count is correct" is being displayed, and this shows the $u got incremented somehow even though the echo statements didnt work! Can someone please point out the error I am doing here? I thought its simply a matter of 'if/else' statements but it seems more than that to me. Please help me out if you have any clue. Thanks

  • Passing $_GET or $_POST data to PHP script that is run with wget

    Hello, I have the following line of PHP code which works great: exec( 'wget http://www.mydomain.com/u1.php /dev/null &' ); u1.php acts to do various types of maintenance on my server and the above command makes it happen in the background. No problems there. But I need to pass variable data to u1.php before it's executed. I'd like to pass POST data preferably, but could accommodate GET or SESSION data if POST isn't an option. Basically the type of data being passed is user-specific and will vary depending on who is logged in to the site and triggering the above code. I've tried adding the GET data to the end of the URL and that didn't work. So how else might I be able to send the data to u1.php? POST data preferred, SESSION data would work as well (but I tried this and it didn't pick up the logged in user's session data). GET would be a last resort. Thanks!
