    I'm attempting to use a wordpress plugin called WP Fast Cache which creates static html files from all your posts, pages and categories. It creates the following directory structure inside wp-content: wp_fast_cache example.com pagename index.html categoryname postname index.html basically just a nested directory structure and a final index.html for each item. And not the Wordpress 404, and janky apache 404. I need to find the correct syntax to route all requests that don't exist ie: files or directories to: wp-content/wp_fast_cache/hostname/request_uri/ So for example: Page: example.com/about-us/ => wp-content/wp_page_cache/example.com/about-us/index.html Post: example.com/my-category/my-awesome-post/ => wp-content/wp_fast_cache/example.com/my-category/my-awesome-post/index.html Category: example.com/news/ => wp-content/wp_fast_cache/example.com/news/index.html Any help is appreciated.

  • VPN - Accessing computer outside of network. Only works one way

    I could use some help here. My ideal goal is to create a VPN for 2 macs that are in different locations so that they can share each others screens and share files. I basically want to do what Logmein's Hamachi does, but without the 5 user limitation. I have set up the VPN on my Synology NAS at my house using the PPTP protocol. I could also use OpenVPN. The good news is that I can use a laptop outside of my home network to access any computer on my network at my house. The bad news is that I can not do the reverse. I want to use a computer in my home network (same network as the VPN server) to access a computer outside of my network (which is connected via VPN successfully). My internal IP is 192.168.1.xxx PPTP VPN assigns my laptop that is outside of my network with 192.168.5.xxx, but when I try to access it remotely either with afp://192.168.5.xxx or vnc://192.168.5.xxx I can't connect using either. Is this something that I should be able to do or is VPN only one way? I've also tried openvpn with the same results. Thanks for any help! -Dan

    During configuring replication on one of the server, I received following error. This is very common error and the solution of the same is even simpler. MSDTC on server is unavailable. Changed database context to publisherdatabase. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 8501) Solution: Enable “Distributed Transaction Coordinator” in SQL Server.   • SQL SERVER – Generate Database Script for SQL Azure

    When talking about SQL Azure the common complain I hear is that the script generated from stand-along SQL Server database is not compatible with SQL Azure. This was true for some time for sure but not any more. If you have SQL Server 2008 R2 installed you can follow the guideline below to generate script which is compatible with SQL Azure. As above images are very clear I will not write more about them. SQL Azure does not support filegroups. Let us generate script for any table created on PRIMARY filegroup for standalong SQL Server and compare it with the script generated for SQL Azure. You can clearly see that there is no filegroup in the code generated for SQL Azure. Give it a try and please your comment here about what do you think about the same.     Ranking has improvement considerably from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005/2008 to SQL Server 2011. Here is the blog article where I wrote about SQL Server 2005/2008 paging method SQL SERVER – 2005 T-SQL Paging Query Technique Comparison (OVER and ROW_NUMBER()) – CTE vs. Derived Table. One can achieve this using OVER clause and ROW_NUMBER() function. Now SQL Server 2011 has come up with the new Syntax for paging. Here is how one can easily achieve it. USE AdventureWorks2008R2 GO DECLARE @RowsPerPage INT = 10, @PageNumber INT = 5 SELECT * FROM Sales.SalesOrderDetail ORDER BY SalesOrderDetailID OFFSET @PageNumber*@RowsPerPage ROWS FETCH NEXT 10 ROWS ONLY GO I consider it good enhancement in terms of T-SQL. I am sure many developers are waiting for this feature for long time. We will consider performance different in future posts.
