Hi everyone! Setting up a "basic framework" for my website projects, I'm wondering which meta elements are really necessary/recommended? In particular, I'd like to know how to deal with the language attribute(s)!? jQuery AJAX Loading Page Content Only After I Press Shift Key

My ajax + jquery loading page only after holding shift key and duplicate new empty window. IBM Worklight v6.1.0.1 : Error when using Ionic Framework with Worklight and run on IOS environment

I have created demo app using Ionic with Worklight and it worked on Android but got error on IOS, when i used mobile browser simulator and debugged on IOS environment, i got the folowing error message: Uncaught InvalidCharacterError: Failed to execute 'add' on 'DOMTokenList': The token provided ('platform-ios - iphone') contains HTML space characters, which are not valid in tokens. Wordpress page content not showing up

I am using the latest nightly build WordPress 3.0-beta2-14729 and the Theme TwentyTen. The content is not showing up where I indicated below. But when I go to the edit window, it is all there. Does anyone know what the problem is? file_field is not sticky in my Rails form

Generate custom RSS/Atom feed with SyndicationFeedFormatter made from XML

I have followed this article and implemented my service and I can open the web browser and see the test data being published. I would like to create a custom formatted response, as for my needs this will not be published to the internet and it's an isolated feed that other devices on the local network could read to get the data I'm publishing. I'd like to create an XML document and publish it instead of using the SyndicationItem that is being used in the article to display title, author, description, etc. Would like to create something simple to be published: <MyData> <ID>33883</ID> <Title>The Name</Title> <Artist>The Artist</Artist> </MyData> I know how to create that in an XMLWriter, but how to publish in a SyndicationFeedFormatter that is the return type for the function in the article? I have seen the XmlSyndicationContent class but haven't seen any practical examples that would accomplish what I want to do.

How to merge objects in php ?

Hey everybody, I'm currently re-writing a class which handles xml files. Depending on the xml file and it's structure I sometimes need to merge objects. Lets say once I have this: <page name="a title"/> And another time I have this: <page name="a title"> <permission>administrator</permission> </page> Before, I needed only the attributes from the "page" element. That's why a lot of my code expects an object containing only the attributes ($loadedXml-attributes()). Now there are xml files in which the <permission> element is required. I did manage to merge the objects (though not as I wanted) but I can't get to access one of them (most probably it's something I'm missing). To merge my objects I used this code: (object) array_merge( (array) $loadedXml->attributes(), (array) $loadedXml->children() ); This is what I get from print_r(): stdClass Object ( [@attributes] => Array ( [name] => a title ) [permission] => Array ( [0] => administrator ) ) So now my question is how to access the @attributes method ? How do I declare "Member Fields" in Java?

This question probably reveals my total lack of knowledge in Java. But let me first show you what I thought was the correct way to declare a "member field": public class NoteEdit extends Activity { private Object mTitleText; private Object mBodyText; I'm following a google's notepad tutorial for android (here) and they simply said: "Note that mTitleText and mBodyText are member fields (you need to declare them at the top of the class definition)." I thought I got it and then realized that this little snippet of code wasn't working. if (title != null) { mTitleText.setText(title); } if (body != null) { mBodyText.setText(body); } So either I didn't set the "member fields" correctly which I thought all that was needed was to declare them private Objects at the top of the NoteEdit class or I'm missing something else. Reverse mapping from a table to a model in SQLAlchemy

To provide an activity log in my SQLAlchemy-based app, I have a model like this: class ActivityLog(Base): __tablename__ = 'activitylog' id = Column(Integer, primary_key=True) activity_by_id = Column(Integer, ForeignKey('users.id'), nullable=False) activity_by = relation(User, primaryjoin=activity_by_id == User.id) activity_at = Column(DateTime, default=datetime.utcnow, nullable=False) activity_type = Column(SmallInteger, nullable=False) target_table = Column(Unicode(20), nullable=False) target_id = Column(Integer, nullable=False) target_title = Column(Unicode(255), nullable=False) The log contains entries for multiple tables, so I can't use ForeignKey relations. Log entries are made like this: doc = Document(name=u'mydoc', title=u'My Test Document', created_by=user, edited_by=user) session.add(doc) session.flush() # See note below log = ActivityLog(activity_by=user, activity_type=ACTIVITY_ADD, target_table=Document.__table__.name, target_id=doc.id, target_title=doc.title) session.add(log) This leaves me with three problems: I have to flush the session before my doc object gets an id. If I had used a ForeignKey column and a relation mapper, I could have simply called ActivityLog(target=doc) and let SQLAlchemy do the work. Is there any way to work around needing to flush by hand? The target_table parameter is too verbose. I suppose I could solve this with a target property setter in ActivityLog that automatically retrieves the table name and id from a given instance. Biggest of all, I'm not sure how to retrieve a model instance from the database. Given an ActivityLog instance log, calling self.session.query(log.target_table).get(log.target_id) does not work, as query() expects a model as parameter. One workaround appears to be to use polymorphism and derive all my models from a base model which ActivityLog recognises. Something like this: class Entity(Base): __tablename__ = 'entities' id = Column(Integer, primary_key=True) title = Column(Unicode(255), nullable=False) edited_at = Column(DateTime, onupdate=datetime.utcnow, nullable=False) entity_type = Column(Unicode(20), nullable=False) __mapper_args__ = {'polymorphic_on': entity_type} class Document(Entity): __tablename__ = 'documents' __mapper_args__ = {'polymorphic_identity': 'document'} body = Column(UnicodeText, nullable=False) class ActivityLog(Base): __tablename__ = 'activitylog' id = Column(Integer, primary_key=True) ... target_id = Column(Integer, ForeignKey('entities.id'), nullable=False) target = relation(Entity) If I do this, ActivityLog(...).target will give me a Document instance when it refers to a Document, but I'm not sure it's worth the overhead of having two tables for everything. Should I go ahead and do it this way?

problem in html, table class text stretching out.

Hey people, I've got a slight problem after weeks of html programming. I've got a large table which I use to construct tabs with, details don't really matter. On every tab there is a tab title (which is defined as one single cell in a table with a class from a .css) and under it there are other rows and columns for the table. sample code for the single table with the single cell in it: <table class='tabcontainer_title'><tr><td class='tabcontainer_title'>TEXT</td></tr></table> This table is again positioned in one cell of the table outside it, which has a different class 'tabcontainer_content' This is in the CSS: .tabcontainer_title{ background-color : #58af34; background-image : url(); text-align : right; vertical-align : top; margin-top : 0px; margin-right : 0px; margin-bottom : 0px; margin-left : 0px; padding-top : 5px; padding-right : 10px; padding-bottom : 5px; padding-left : 0px; font-size : 14px; font-style : normal; color : #000000; } .tabcontainer_content{ width : 100%; font-weight : bolder; background-color : #58af34; color : #000000; padding : 0px; border-collapse : collapse; } The problem I'm experiencing right now is that if there are like 3 rows in the table, which means there's a lot of emtpy space instead of those rows, the text in the tab title has a large margin from the top: but I haven't configured any margin to be present. When the table is full of rows though, hence the table is full, then the tab title holds no unnecessary empty space above the text. What am I missing here?

UITableView: NSMutableArray not appearing in table

I'm new to objective c and iPhone programming. I can't seem to figure out why no cells will fill when I run this code. The xml content displays in the console log and xcode displays no errors. "Access is denied" by executing .hta file with JScript on Windows XP x64

I have a simple HTML (as HTA) application that shows strange behavior on Windows XP x64 machine. I getting periodically (not every time) error message "Access is denied." when i start the application. The same application on Windows XP 32bit runs just fine... Does somebody has any idea or explanation? Error message: Line: 18 Char: 6 Error: Access is denied. Trouble with building up a string in Clojure

Hi gang - [this may seem like my problem is with Compojure, but it isn't - it's with Clojure] I've been pulling my hair out on this seemingly simple issue - but am getting nowhere. I am playing with Compojure (a light web framework for Clojure) and I would just like to generate a web page showing showing my list of todos that are in a PostgreSQL database. The code snippets are below (left out the database connection, query, etc - but that part isn't needed because specific issue is that the resulting HTML shows nothing between the <body> and </body> tags). As a test, I tried hard-coding the string in the call to main-layout, like this: (html (main-layout "Aki's Todos" "Haircut<br>Study Clojure<br>Answer a question on Stackoverfolw")) - and it works fine. So the real issue is that I do not believe I know how to build up a string in Clojure. Not the idiomatic way, and not by calling out to Java's StringBuilder either - as I have attempted to do in the code below. A virtual beer, and a big upvote to whoever can solve it! Ruby and RSS2 Feed not displaying image

Trying to create a simple RSS2 Feed that I could later pass on to FeedBurner but can't get RSS feed to display images at all. Also, from what I have read having xml.instruct! on top might cause IE to complain it's not a valid feed. Is this true? Multiple/repeat .replace on one page

I've made a script which copies the ALT-tag of an image and puts it into a SPAN. It also formates the information devided by a hyphen. It works like a charm, but only with one image. Further more, I would like it to wrap a div around the image, to prevent unnecessary markup, as I have now. Any ideas is much appreciated... :-) Script that works now: HTML: <div id="hoejre"> <p><span class="alignright"><img src="tommy_stor.jpg" alt="Name - Title" width="162" height="219" /><span></span></span></p> </div> jQuery: var alt = $("#hoejre p span img").attr("alt"); $('#hoejre p span span').html("<strong>" + alt.replace("-", "</strong> <em>") + "</em>"); Output: <span class="alignright"><img height="219" width="162" alt="Name - Title" src="tommy_stor.jpg"><span><strong>Name </strong> <em> Title</em></span></span> How do you I repeat the effect on several images, with different information within? P.S.: I really love this forum. I have used several other forums for this kind of questions, but this one is by far the most professional.
