  • django/python: is one view that handles two sibling models a good idea?

    - by clime
    I am using django multi-table inheritance: Video and Image are models derived from Media. I have implemented two views: video_list and image_list, which are just proxies to media_list. media_list returns images or videos (based on input parameter model) for a certain object, which can be of type Event, Member, or Crag. The view alters its behaviour based on input parameter action (better name would be mode), which can be of value "edit" or "view". The problem is that I need to ask whether the input parameter model contains Video or Image in media_list so that I can do the right thing. Similar condition is also in helper method media_edit_list that is called from the view. I don't particularly like it but the only alternative I can think of is to have separate (but almost the same) logic for video_list and image_list and then probably also separate helper methods for videos and images: video_edit_list, image_edit_list, video_view_list, image_view_list. So four functions instead of just two. That I like even less because the video functions would be very similar to the respective image functions. What do you recommend? Here is extract of relevant parts: http://pastebin.com/07t4bdza. I'll also paste the code here: #urls url(r'^media/images/(?P<rel_model_tag>(event|member|crag))/(?P<rel_object_id>\d+)/(?P<action>(view|edit))/$', views.image_list, name='image-list') url(r'^media/videos/(?P<rel_model_tag>(event|member|crag))/(?P<rel_object_id>\d+)/(?P<action>(view|edit))/$', views.video_list, name='video-list') #views def image_list(request, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id, mode): return media_list(request, Image, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id, mode) def video_list(request, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id, mode): return media_list(request, Video, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id, mode) def media_list(request, model, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id, mode): rel_model = tag_to_model(rel_model_tag) rel_object = get_object_or_404(rel_model, pk=rel_object_id) if model == Image: star_media = rel_object.star_image else: star_media = rel_object.star_video filter_params = {} if rel_model == Event: filter_params['event'] = rel_object_id elif rel_model == Member: filter_params['members'] = rel_object_id elif rel_model == Crag: filter_params['crag'] = rel_object_id media_list = model.objects.filter(~Q(id=star_media.id)).filter(**filter_params).order_by('date_added').all() context = { 'media_list': media_list, 'star_media': star_media, } if mode == 'edit': return media_edit_list(request, model, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id, context) return media_view_list(request, model, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id, context) def media_view_list(request, model, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id, context): if request.is_ajax(): context['base_template'] = 'boxes/base-lite.html' return render(request, 'media/list-items.html', context) def media_edit_list(request, model, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id, context): if model == Image: get_media_edit_record = get_image_edit_record else: get_media_edit_record = get_video_edit_record media_list = [get_media_edit_record(media, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id) for media in context['media_list']] if context['star_media']: star_media = get_media_edit_record(context['star_media'], rel_model_tag, rel_object_id) else: star_media = None json = simplejson.dumps({ 'star_media': star_media, 'media_list': media_list, }) return HttpResponse(json, content_type=json_response_mimetype(request)) def get_image_edit_record(image, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id): record = { 'url': image.image.url, 'name': image.title or image.filename, 'type': mimetypes.guess_type(image.image.path)[0] or 'image/png', 'thumbnailUrl': image.thumbnail_2.url, 'size': image.image.size, 'id': image.id, 'media_id': image.media_ptr.id, 'starUrl':reverse('image-star', kwargs={'image_id': image.id, 'rel_model_tag': rel_model_tag, 'rel_object_id': rel_object_id}), } return record def get_video_edit_record(video, rel_model_tag, rel_object_id): record = { 'url': video.embed_url, 'name': video.title or video.url, 'type': None, 'thumbnailUrl': video.thumbnail_2.url, 'size': None, 'id': video.id, 'media_id': video.media_ptr.id, 'starUrl': reverse('video-star', kwargs={'video_id': video.id, 'rel_model_tag': rel_model_tag, 'rel_object_id': rel_object_id}), } return record #   • Controller Action Methods with different signatures

    - by Narsil
    I am trying to get my URLs in files/id format. I am guessing I should have two Index methods in my controller, one with a parameter and one with not. But I get this error message in browser below. Anyway here is my controller methods: public ActionResult Index() { return Content("Index "); } // // GET: /Files/5 public ActionResult Index(int id) { File file = fileRepository.GetFile(id); if (file == null) return Content("Not Found"); else return Content(file.FileID.ToString()); } Error: Server Error in '/' Application. URLs have to be in files?id=3 format. I want files/3 routes from global.asax routes.MapRoute( "Default", // Route name "{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional } // Parameter defaults ); //files/3 //it's the one I wrote routes.MapRoute("Files", "{controller}/{id}", new { controller = "Files", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional} ); I tried adding a new route after reading Jeff's post but I can't get it working. It still works with files?id=2 though.

  • Listview Row Overlap Problem

    - by rgrandy
    I just updated my app and I am getting some odd complaints from people who update it. I am only getting complaints from people with non-stock android phones (phones that manufacturers have modified...HTC phones, cliq, pulse, etc), other phones like the Droid, Nexus work fine. My app (Photo Frame Deluxe) has a list in it with a Image View, Text View, View (spacer) and checkbox, all in a row. What happens on the affected phones is that the rows start overlapping and it cuts the top half of everything off. My layout code for this is below, I am pulling my hair out on this, what might I have wrong in this layout. Why does this work on some phones and not on others? Any help would be appreciated. Row Layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="horizontal"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/photorowIcon" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:paddingTop="10dp" android:paddingBottom="10dp" android:paddingRight="5dp" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/photorowText" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" /> <View android:layout_width="0px" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="1"/> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/photorowCheckBox" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:focusable="false" android:focusableInTouchMode="false" /> </LinearLayout> Layout Row is inserted in: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical"> <LinearLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:background="@drawable/title1_gradient" android:orientation="vertical"> <TextView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Select Photos to Display:" android:textSize="20sp" android:textStyle="bold" android:textColor="#FFFFFFFF" android:paddingLeft="5dp" android:paddingRight="5dp" android:paddingTop="5dp" /> <TextView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:id="@+id/folderName" android:textSize="15sp" android:textStyle="bold" android:textColor="#FFFFFFFF" android:paddingLeft="5dp" android:paddingRight="5dp" android:paddingBottom="5dp" /> <View android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1px" android:background="#406C6C6C"/> </LinearLayout> <ListView android:id="@android:id/list" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="0px" android:layout_weight="1" android:drawSelectorOnTop="false" android:paddingLeft="5dp" android:paddingRight="5dp" /> <LinearLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_gravity="bottom"> <LinearLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_gravity="bottom" android:background="#FF6C6C6C" android:padding="5dp"> <Button android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:id="@+id/ok" android:text="OK"/> </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout>

  • Mixed surrogate composite key insert in JPA 2.0, PostgreSQL and Hibernate 3.5

    - by Gerald
    First off, we are using JPA 2.0 and Hibernate 3.5 as persistence provider on a PostgreSQL database. We successfully use the sequence of the database via the JPA 2.0 annotations as an auto-generated value for single-field-surrogate-keys and all works fine. Now we are implementing a bi-temporal database-scheme that requires a mixed key in the following manner: Table 1: id (pk, integer, auto-generated-sequence) validTimeBegin (pk, dateTime) validTimeEnd (dateTime) firstName (varChar) Now we have a problem. You see, if we INSERT a new element, the field id is auto-generated and that's fine. Only, if we want to UPDATE the field within this scheme, then we have to change the validTimeBegin column WITHOUT changing the id-field and insert it as a new row like so: BEFORE THE UPDATE OF THE ROW: |---|-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------------| | id| validTimeBegin | validTimeEnd | firstName | |---|-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------------| | 1| 2010-05-01-10:00:00.000 | NULL | Gerald | |---|-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------------| AFTER THE UPDATE OF THE ROW happening at exactly 2010-05-01-10:35:01.788 server-time: (we update the person with the id:1 to reflect his new first name...) |---|-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------------| | id| validTimeBegin | validTimeEnd | firstName | |---|-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------------| | 1| 2010-05-01-10:00:00.000 | 2010-05-01-10:35:01.788 | Gerald | |---|-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------------| | 1| 2010-05-01-10:35:01.788 | NULL | Jerry | |---|-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------------| So our problem is, that this doesn't work at all using an auto-generated-sequence for the field id because when inserting a new row then the id ALWAYS is auto-generated although it really is part of a composite key which should sometimes behave differently. So my question is: Is there a way to tell hibernate via JPA to stop auto-generating the id-field in the case I want to generate a new variety of the same person and go on as usual in every other case or do I have to take over the whole id-generation with custom code? Thanks in advance, Gerald

  • jQuery autocomplete - update options on dynamically created elements

    - by Ian Robinson
    Background The user enters values into multiple inputs on the page. Think of entering a list of widgets for sale. The user would select the type of a widget from a drop down. Then enter the name of the Widget vendor, and then the actual name of the widget. These UI elements would all appear as one row. The user is able to click an "add another widget" link and a new row is created. The two input elements have autocomplete functionality attached to them using the DevBridge jQuery plugin. It suggests the name of the vendor and the name of the widget. I have recently wired up the logic to filter the name of the widget based on the name of the vendor you entered. This means setting the (custom) vendorName parameter when attaching the autocomplete plugin so it can be passed to the server side to retrieve the widget names for that vendor that match the name the user entered. To achieve this functionality I'm dynamically attaching the autocomplete functionality to the second element (the widget name text box) when it receives focus. Here is an example: $('.autocomplete-widget').live('focus', function () { $(this).autocomplete({ serviceUrl: '/something.ashx', params: { type: 'widget', vendorName: $(this).parent().prev().find('.autocomplete-vendor').val()} }); }); Problem At first glance, this looks to function quite well. However I started noticing some inconsistencies, and upon inspection, I found out that the call to the server is actually happening several times in some cases. Each time the widget name input element receives focus the autocomplete functionality is attached. And what I'm seeing is that the call to the server is made in proportion to how many times the input element has gained focus. I'd like to avoid making the call more than once, but retain the ability to attach (or update) the autocomplete functionality "on focus". I've tried to use the autocomplete 'setOptions' method but have only been able to get it to work with the static elements, not the dynamically created elements. Question Is there a way I can clear out the autocomplete functionality before I attach another one?

  • using grails and google app engine to store image as blob and the view dynamically

    - by mswallace
    I am trying to dynamically display an image that I am storing in the google datastore as a Blob. I am not getting any errors but I am getting a broken image on the page that I view. Any help would be awesome! I have the following code in my grails app domain class has the following @PrimaryKey @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY) Long id @Persistent String siteName @Persistent String url @Persistent Blob img @Persistent String yourName @Persistent String yourURL @Persistent Date date static constraints = { id( visible:false) } My save method in the controller has this def save = { params.img = new Blob(params.imgfile.getBytes()) def siteInfoInstance = new SiteInfo(params) if(!siteInfoInstance.hasErrors() ) { try{ persistenceManager.makePersistent(siteInfoInstance) } finally{ flash.message = "SiteInfo ${siteInfoInstance.id} created" redirect(action:show,id:siteInfoInstance.id) } } render(view:'create',model:[siteInfoInstance:siteInfoInstance]) } My view has the following <img src="${createLink(controller:'siteInfoController', action:'showImage', id:fieldValue(bean:siteInfoInstance, field:'id'))}"></img> and the method in my controller that it is calling to display a link to the image looks like this def showImage = { def site = SiteInfo.get(params.id)// get the record response.outputStream << site.img // write the image to the outputstream response.outputStream.flush() }

  • dynamic multiple instance of swfupload (firefox vs IE)

    - by jean27
    We have this dynamic uploader which creates a new instance of swfupload. I'm a little bit confused with the outputs produced by firefox and ie. If I leave dropdownlist and try to insert wrong date I get following error: System.InvalidOperationException: The ViewData item with the key 'CategoryId' is of type 'System.Int32' but needs to be of type 'IEnumerable'. If I enter correct date than the article is properly inserted. There's one other thing that's confusing me... For example, if I try manually add the categoyID: [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult Create(Article article) { if (ModelState.IsValid) { try { // TODO: Add insert logic here // Manually add category value article.CategoryID = 1; articleRepository.Add(article); articleRepository.Save(); return RedirectToAction("Index"); } catch { return View(article); } } else { return View(article); } } ..I also get the above error. There's one other thing I noticed. If I add partial class Article, when returning to articleRepository.cs I get error that 'Article' is an ambiguous reference between 'CMS.Models.Article' and 'CMS.Model.Article' Any thoughts on this one?

  • Nhibernate Guid with PK MySQL

    - by Andrew Kalashnikov
    Hello colleagues. I've got a question. I use NHibernate with MySql. At my entities I use Id(PK) for my business-logic usage and Guid(for replication). So my BaseDomain: public class BaseDomain { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual Guid Guid { get; set; } public class Properties { public const string Id = "Id"; public const string Guid = "Guid"; } public BaseDomain() { } } My usage domain: public class ActivityCategory : BaseDomain { public ActivityCategory() { } public virtual string Name { get; set; } public new class Properties { public const string Id = "Id"; public const string Guid = "Guid"; public const string Name = "Name"; private Properties() { } } } Mapping: <class name="ActivityCategory, Clients.Core" table='Activity_category'> <id name="Id" unsaved-value="0" type="int"> <column name="Id" not-null="true"/> <generator class="native"/> </id> <property name="Guid"/> <property name="Name"/> </class> But when I insert my entity: [Test] public void Test() { ActivityCategory ac = new ActivityCategory(); ac.Name = "Test"; using (var repo = new Repository<ActivityCategory>()) repo.Save(ac); } I always get '00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000' at my Guid field. What should I do for generate right Guid. May be mapping? Thanks a lot!

  • std::basic_stringstream<unsigned char> won't compile with MSVC 10

    - by Michael J
    I'm trying to get UTF-8 chars to co-exist with ANSI 8-bit chars. My strategy has been to represent utf-8 chars as unsigned char so that appropriate overloads of functions can be used for the two character types. e.g. namespace MyStuff { typedef uchar utf8_t; typedef std::basic_string<utf8_t> U8string; } void SomeFunc(std::string &s); void SomeFunc(std::wstring &s); void SomeFunc(MyStuff::U8string &s); This all works pretty well until I try to use a stringstream. std::basic_ostringstream<MyStuff::utf8_t> ostr; ostr << 1; MSVC Visual C++ Express V10 won't compile this: c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\xlocmon(213): warning C4273: 'id' : inconsistent dll linkage c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\xlocnum(65) : see previous definition of 'public: static std::locale::id std::numpunct<unsigned char>::id' c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\xlocnum(65) : while compiling class template static data member 'std::locale::id std::numpunct<_Elem>::id' with [ _Elem=Tk::utf8_t ] c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\xlocnum(1149) : see reference to function template instantiation 'const _Facet &std::use_facet<std::numpunct<_Elem>>(const std::locale &)' being compiled with [ _Facet=std::numpunct<Tk::utf8_t>, _Elem=Tk::utf8_t ] c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\xlocnum(1143) : while compiling class template member function 'std::ostreambuf_iterator<_Elem,_Traits> std::num_put<_Elem,_OutIt>:: do_put(_OutIt,std::ios_base &,_Elem,std::_Bool) const' with [ _Elem=Tk::utf8_t, _Traits=std::char_traits<Tk::utf8_t>, _OutIt=std::ostreambuf_iterator<Tk::utf8_t,std::char_traits<Tk::utf8_t>> ] c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\ostream(295) : see reference to class template instantiation 'std::num_put<_Elem,_OutIt>' being compiled with [ _Elem=Tk::utf8_t, _OutIt=std::ostreambuf_iterator<Tk::utf8_t,std::char_traits<Tk::utf8_t>> ] c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\ostream(281) : while compiling class template member function 'std::basic_ostream<_Elem,_Traits> & std::basic_ostream<_Elem,_Traits>::operator <<(int)' with [ _Elem=Tk::utf8_t, _Traits=std::char_traits<Tk::utf8_t> ] c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\sstream(526) : see reference to class template instantiation 'std::basic_ostream<_Elem,_Traits>' being compiled with [ _Elem=Tk::utf8_t, _Traits=std::char_traits<Tk::utf8_t> ] c:\users\michael\dvl\tmp\console\console.cpp(23) : see reference to class template instantiation 'std::basic_ostringstream<_Elem,_Traits,_Alloc>' being compiled with [ _Elem=Tk::utf8_t, _Traits=std::char_traits<Tk::utf8_t>, _Alloc=std::allocator<uchar> ] . c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\xlocmon(213): error C2491: 'std::numpunct<_Elem>::id' : definition of dllimport static data member not allowed with [ _Elem=Tk::utf8_t ] Any ideas? ** Edited 19 June 2012 ** OK, I've gotten closer to understanding this, but not how to solve it. As we all know, static class variables get defined twice: once in the class definition and once outside the class definition which establishes storage space. e.g. // in .h file class CFoo { // ... static int x; }; // in .cpp file int CFoo::x = 42; Now in the VC10 headers we get something like this: template<class _Elem> class numpunct : public locale::facet { // ... _CRTIMP2_PURE static locale::id id; // ... } When the header is included in an application, _CRTIMP2_PURE is defined as __declspec(dllimport), which means that the variable is imported from a dll. Now the header also contains the following template<class _Elem> locale::id numpunct<_Elem>::id; Note the absence of the __declspec(dllimport) qualifier. i.e. The class declaration says that the static linkage of the id variable is in the dll, but for the general case, it gets declared outside the dll. For the known cases, there are specialisations. template locale::id numpunct<char>::id; template locale::id numpunct<wchar_t>::id; These are protected by #ifs so that they are only included when building the DLL. They are excluded otherwise. i.e. the char and wchar_t versions of numpunct ARE inside the dll So we have the class definition saying that id's storage is in the DLL, but that is only true for the char and wchar_t specialisations, meaning that my unsigned char version is doomed. :-( The only way forward that I can think of is to create my own specialisation: basically copying it from the header file and fixing it. This raises many issues. Anybody have a better idea?

  • Android layout with sqare buttons

    - by Mannaz
    I want to make a layout similar to this one: Four square buttons on the screen - each of those using half of the screen with/screen height (whichever is smaler). I already tried to achieve this by using a LinearLayoutbut the buttons are ending up using the correct width, but still having the height of the background (not square any more). <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <LinearLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"> <Button android:layout_height="wrap_content" style="@style/CKMainButton" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:text="@string/sights" android:id="@+id/ApplicationMainSight" android:layout_toLeftOf="@+id/ApplicationMainEvent"></Button> <Button android:layout_height="wrap_content" style="@style/CKMainButton" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:text="@string/sights" android:id="@+id/ApplicationMainSight" android:layout_toLeftOf="@+id/ApplicationMainEvent"></Button> </LinearLayout> <LinearLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"> <Button android:layout_height="wrap_content" style="@style/CKMainButton" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:text="@string/usergenerated" android:id="@+id/ApplicationMainUserGenerated"></Button> <Button android:layout_height="wrap_content" style="@style/CKMainButton" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:text="@string/tours" android:id="@+id/ApplicationMainTour"></Button> </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout> It's looking like this: How can i acchieve the Layout to look like the image above?

  • OpenIndiana (illumos): vmxnet3 interface lost on reboot

    I want my VMware vmxnet3 interface to be brought up with DHCP on boot. I can manually configure the NIC with: # ifconfig vmxnet3s0 plumb # ipadm create-addr -T dhcp vmxnet3s0/v4dhcp But after creating /etc/dhcp.vmxnet3s0 and rebooting, the interface is down and the logs show: Aug 13 09:34:15 neumann vmxnet3s: [ID 654879 kern.notice] vmxnet3s:0: getcapab(0x200000) -> no Aug 13 09:34:15 neumann vmxnet3s: [ID 715698 kern.notice] vmxnet3s:0: stop() Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann vmxnet3s: [ID 654879 kern.notice] vmxnet3s:0: getcapab(0x200000) -> no Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann vmxnet3s: [ID 920500 kern.notice] vmxnet3s:0: start() Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann vmxnet3s: [ID 778983 kern.notice] vmxnet3s:0: getprop(TxRingSize) -> 256 Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann vmxnet3s: [ID 778983 kern.notice] vmxnet3s:0: getprop(RxRingSize) -> 256 Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann vmxnet3s: [ID 778983 kern.notice] vmxnet3s:0: getprop(RxBufPoolLimit) -> 512 Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann nwamd[491]: [ID 605049 daemon.error] 1: nwamd_set_unset_link_properties: dladm_set_linkprop failed: operation not supported Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann vmxnet3s: [ID 654879 kern.notice] vmxnet3s:0: getcapab(0x20000) -> no Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann nwamd[491]: [ID 751932 daemon.error] 1: nwamd_down_interface: ipadm_delete_addr failed on vmxnet3s0: Object not found Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann nwamd[491]: [ID 819019 daemon.error] 1: nwamd_plumb_unplumb_interface: plumb IPv4 failed for vmxnet3s0: Operation not supported on disabled object Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann nwamd[491]: [ID 160156 daemon.error] 1: nwamd_plumb_unplumb_interface: plumb IPv6 failed for vmxnet3s0: Operation not supported on disabled object Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann nwamd[491]: [ID 771489 daemon.error] 1: add_ip_address: ipadm_create_addr failed on vmxnet3s0: Operation not supported on disabled object Aug 13 09:34:17 neumann nwamd[491]: [ID 405346 daemon.error] 9: start_dhcp: ipadm_create_addr failed for vmxnet3s0: Operation not supported on disabled object I then tried disabling network/physical:nwam in favour of network/physical:default.   • How to set an EditText on top of a ListView ?

    - by Spredzy
    Hi everyone, I am trying to do an autocomplete version my way (logic, layout, etc...) , so I don't want to use the AutoCompleteTextView. My question is how to set an EditText on top of a ListView in a class inheriting from a ListAcvitivy. I tried two kinds of layout, none of them worked.
