• Subversion branch question

  Hi, If you have created a branch and are working with the files in that branch, when you 'update' it, is it updating/merging the code in the branch with the code in the trunk? Also, when you have commited your changes to the branch, how do you update the trunk with your changes? (since you commit the changes and have to switch to the trunk again?)   I've a root directory and it contains many directories,in turn each sub-directory contains many directories and so on.For example if "A" is a root directory it contains sub-directories "A.a","A.b",so on... and each directory("A.a","A.b",etc) contains many directories.I want to copy the inner directories of "A.a" , "A.b" ,etc.. to other directory structure similar to the "A".Instead of copying the each directory I want to use loop that iterates every directory and it's sub-directories(even files).How to do that...Please help me out as I'm new to Ant...

Given the unique number how can i open or copy this file? for example: I have been given the number '7656875' and nothing more. I need to interact with a file called '\server\7656800\7656875 foobar 2x4'. how can i achieve this using PHP?

  Hi, I want to do grep texts files inside a rar without extracting the rar file to disk, I tried a couple of combinations with pipes however it didnt work i tried for example unrar e myrar.rar | grep mysearchedline however it actually opened it to disk, I don't want to open it to disk, I don't have enough space for it to be opened (its real big with real big logs).   I was wondering, is there some type of disc ID i can use to search in my database to see if that disc is has been scanned or not? All disc were created by me typically burnt on windows. -edit- I could compare write time and volume label to see if the disc has been scanned but i notice if i put in certain commercial disc that fields are blank or wrong causing many false positives (i once had the time set to the future, i dont know if people want to archive the contents of files on a commercial disc in my app).

The comments would obviously need to be pulled from a central web source - either a database or perhaps even simple flat files.
