  Hi all, I remember sometime ago, I uninstall an application called starfield, but probably I didn't do a clean uninstall, now from my mac's console, I always see a annoying message is popping up, the message is: 12/29/10 4:45:56 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.starfield.backupservice[4441]) Exited with exit code: 1 12/29/10 4:45:56 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.starfield.backupservice) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds 12/29/10 4:46:06 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.starfield.backupservice[4442]) posix_spawn("/Applications/Starfield/BackupService/offSyncService", ...): No such file or directory I know it could be something wrong with my installation, how can I do a clean uninstall now, or just fix this issue, I don't want to see this message from my console any more.   Hi All, I Have a Java object which I am converting into a xml file. I am getting a big xml file here after converting java object. I am capturing that converted xml file in a string like below String ouputXML = xmlfile; Noe If I pring the ouputXML on the console of IBM RSA in the proper format only it is printing but my requirement is I need to redirect outputXML in to an XML instead of printing in IBm RSA console. I am able to do this but the problem is if I open the craetd XML file the xml structure is not proper , it is showing so many special characters . Please help me !!

  Hi, I'am trying to convert the variable $num into its reverse byte order and print it out. This is what I have done so far: my $num=0x5514ddb7; my $s=pack('I!',$num); print "$s\n"; He prints it out as some non-printable characters and in a hex editor it looks right, but how can I get it readable on the console? Already tried print sprintf("%#x\n",$s); but he complains about an non-numeric argument, so I think pack returns a string. Any ideas how can I print out `0xb7dd1455 on the console, based on $num?

  How would I draw something on the screen ? not the console window but the entire screen, preferably with the console minimised. Also, would it show up on a printscreen ? What I want to do is create something like a layer on top of the screen that only me and my aplication are aware of yet still be able to use aplications as usual. Here's an example: Let's say I want 2 yellow squares 5 by 5 pixels in size appearing in the center of the screen on top of all the other applications, unclickable and invisible to a printscreen.

  I'm running windows xp and I've got MiniMagick and ImageMagick installed (latest versions). I'm now using the console to test out that everything works. Using the ms command prompt image magick works no problem. I'm testing this by using the identify command. Now, when I try to use MiniMagick from the console by entering image = MiniMagick::Image.new('image.jpg') It returns MiniMagickError, "ImageMagick command ("identify \"input.jpg\"") failed: {:status_code = #"'identify' is not recognized as an internal or external command,\noperable program or batch file.\n"} Can anybody help?

  Actually, I am doing one project. In that I want to implement the command line features as like in linux terminal. And I saw this in ftp command also. If I press tab I need to list the commands. If I press control characters I need to get that characters based on that I will do some action. And If I give any commands it should execute. For this I tried with Term::ReadKey that is non canonical mode. But here I am facing more problems like, If I press any control character or arrow I got three characters. Ex: for up arrow I got ascii as 279165. Can anyone help me out of this problem? And I feel that there will be a better solution for this. Thanks in Advance.

• Constantly getting ...DeviceMonitor] Failed to start monitoring

  I find that after running or debugging my application a few times using eclipse, that I get the above output in my console (in red) and I get no feedback from Dalvik as to the connection status to my phone is going. My application will still debug etc. I just get nothing useful in my Console. Any ideas how to fix this? It appears intermittent. It starts doing it after a few minutes, continues to do it for quite a while and occasionally goes away again. This has happened on my last laptop and now on my new laptop with a completely fresh install etc.

  Hi, I have this windows console app which takes a file, do some calculations, and then writes the output to a specified file. The input is specified in "app.exe -input fullfilename" format. I need to call this application from my C++ program, but I have a problem with spaces in paths to files. When I call the app directly from cmd.exe by typing (without specifying output file for clarity) "c:\first path\app.exe" -input "c:\second path\input.file" everything works as expected. But, when I try using cstdlib std::system() function, i.e. std::system(" \"c:\\first path\\app.exe\" -input \"c:\\second path\\input.file\" "); the console prints out that c:\first is not any valid command. It's probably common mistake and has simple solution, but I have been unable to find any. Thx for any help.

I don't have any access to this function anyway (it is not assigned anywhere). I think (but I'm not sure) that I can implement everything without immediate functions - so why do people use it?

  Im not even sure how to word this and is probably why I am having trouble finding an answer in google. When the code is run currentCardRow will equal 1 therefore it should be cardSelected1 which is what is shown in the console.log. I need it to go a step further because cardSelected1 is a variable and I need it to evaluate show in the console log as Invitation. Invitation is an example of a variable for cardSelected1.   Hi, I have a Dynamic Web Project that implements Spring and Hibernate using a Tomcat Server (v6). I'm lauching Tomcat with my Eclipse Galileo and I'm not getting any errors in the console but Tomcat is rendering my webpages randomly. The page just keep loading but without displaying anything, there's nothing on the console either. When I go in debug mode, it goes throught the right steps, everything seems alright. When I display the source code on the web browser (Firefox latest build) it shows me the right code that is needed to display the page I called. What am I not getting here? Plus when I stop Tomcat, it renders a part of the page. I'm wondering if JQuery could be the problem? The thing is that it's a collaborative project and that the others managed to run the web application in the most alright way. Please, share your experience with me.
