  • Win 7 Wireless Connected With Good Signal But No Internet Access

    In Windows 7 I was connected wirelessly for about a week when one day I came home and the wireless was connected with a strong signal but it said that I had "No Internet Access" It's been 3 days since then now and I have yet to find a way to fix it. My wireless drivers are right off the disk that came with the wireless card. Can anyone help me?     Hi, How can i give read access to logs for other users? Perhaps the solution is to set group for this files and add some users there. But how to do that for /var/log/maillog?   • ehcp - access pop3 account

    Hi, I finally manage to get mail working with ehcp on an ubuntu server. I can get and send email from the webmail, but I can't seems to be able to access the pop3. I can telnet to the pop3 (server?) but my identification are rejected. Apparently the pop3 server is courier which seems to be configured like it should. Someone has any idea about this ?     We're going to use an ORM tool with a .NET desktop application. The tool allows creation of persistent classes. It generates all database tables automatically. In addition to other data, our system needs to store user credentials, and deliver access control. The question is, is there any possibility of access control by means of ORM, without creating the database authentication mechanisms manually? Is there any product on the market which allows this? We thought of limiting the access in the program itself, but users can easily access the database directly, and bypass the program limitations. Thanks.

Just realized though that the maintenance block examples for nginx take the site down for everyone. How do you serve the maintenance page to visitors will still allowing localhost access. Should I just create a new server block listening on another port and deny all, allow 127.0.0.1?

    One of the desktop computers in my office is unable to access some particular websites. We've tried from Chrome, IE, Firefox, but no luck. eg: http://spsims.wto.org/ -> click on "Regular notifications" On the affected computer, every browser times out after the click. Whereas it should redirect the user to http://spsims.wto.org/web/pages/search/notification/regular/Search.aspx How can I diagnose this further? This is a Windows XP machine.

    We're considering using Google Apps as groupware, with our Mac and Linux users (and likely a few of the Windows users as well) accessing mail and calendar using Thunderbird with Lightning. We seem to have worked out most features, but have not found a way to access Global Address List. Is there a way to sync the Global Address List to Thunderbird? Update: The Zindus addon as suggested by @superuser, does not have support for Global Address List from Google Apps (it does however support GAL from a Zimbra server)

    I've set up an OpenLDAP-Server to authenticate users to our Ubuntu-servers. The authentication works quite well but I'd like to restict the user's access to certain servers. I know this can be done through nss_base_something in the client's ldap.conf. However, this requires the group restrictions to be specified on the client. I wonder if the restrictions can be set completely in OpenLDAP. If it is, I'd like to know how. Thanks, AC
