• Using a :default for file names on include templates in SMARTY 3 [closed]

  Hello everyone, Although I don't think the question was as good as it could be, let me try to explain better here. I have a site using SMARTY 3 as the template system. I have a template structure similar to the below one: /templates/place1/inner_a.tpl /templates/place1/inner_b.tpl /templates/place2/inner_b.tpl /templates/place2/inner_c.tpl /templates/default/inner_a.tpl /templates/default/inner_b.tpl /templates/default/inner_c.tpl These are getting included on the parent template using {include file="{$temp_folder}/{$inner_template}"} So far great. What I wanted to do is having a default for, in the case that the file "{$temp_folder}/{$inner_template}" does not exists, it uses the equivalent file at "default/{$inner_template}". i.e. If I do {include file="place1/inner_c.tpl"}, since that file does not exists it in fact includes "default/inner_c.tpl" Is it possible?

• How to attach WAR file in email from jenkins

  We have a case where a developer needs to access the last successfully built WAR file from jenkins. However, they can't access the jenkins server. I'd like to configure jenkins such that on every successful build, jenkins sends the WAR file to this user. I've installed the ext-email plugin and it seems to be working fine. Emails are being received along with the build.log. However, the WAR file isn't being received. The WAR file lives on this path in the server: /var/lib/jenkins/workspace/Ourproject/dist/our.war So I configured it under Post build actions like this: The problem is that emails are sent but the WAR file isn't being attached. Do I need to do something else?

• Removal of libsound2 file causes graphics loss

  I was trying to install skype on ubuntu 12.10 desktop. but it was giving some error related to libsound2:i386 file. to overcome this problem i removed file libsound2 thinking that will install it later. but it removes all the graphics from my system. after removal of the file system started to give error that system is running in low graphics mode. I tried to install libsound2 file again but couldn't. After it i have upgraded the release of my ubuntu version using command do-release-upgrade think that it will install the missing file. But still there are no graphics on the system. I am using Dell Inspiron 15 . Please help me to tell that how can i get the graphics of system back.

• Default file permissions for php user www-data

  I have a php installed on my ubuntu machine. The web root is /var/www I set the permissions for this folder like so: sudo chown -R ftpuser:www-data /var/www ftpuser is the user I set up so I can ftp to /var/www from another machine on the network. www-data is the user php uses. I double checked using whoami from php. Whenever I ftp upload a new file to the machine the group has no permissions to the file. So when I try to access it in my browser via machine-name/new-file.php I am told permission denied and I have to go and chmod the new file. I am wondering if there is a way I can default the www-data user/group to have access permissions to new files so I don't have to keep chmod every new file?

  I am maintaning a memory mapped file to store my tree like datastructure. When I'm updating the datastructure ,I got this problem. The file is limited on it's size and can't be too long or too small. I have a methods like void mapfile_insert_record(RECORD* /* record*/); void mapfile_modify_record(RECORD* /* record*/); Both operations could lead to exceed the space which is free on memory file. How do I overcome this? What strategy I should use. calculate whether it requires to exceed the file as a pre-condition on both methods. Dynamically exceed it , for a example manage a timer and constantly polling file for it's free avaliable size and then automatically extend it. Any ideas or patterns to overcome this problem?

  I would like to start giving unique names to "cache-able" files - i.e. *.css and *.js - in order to prevent caching, without requiring changes to the web-server settings (as is currently done in IIS).   I have a text file with a strange character encoding that I'd like to convert to standard UTF-8. • Framework Folders and Duplicate File Names

  I have been working with Framework folders a little bit in the past few days and found one unexpected behavior that is different from Contribution Folders (Folders_g). If you try and check a file into a Framework Folder that already exists in the folder it will allow it and rename the file for you. In Folders_g this would have generated an error and prevented you from checking in the file. A quick check of the Framework Folder configuration settings in the Application Administrator’s Guide for Content Server does not show a configuration parameter to control this. I'm still thinking about this and not sure if I like this new behavior or not. I guess from a user perspective this more closely aligns Framework Folders to how Windows handle duplicate file names, but if you are migrating from Folders_g and expect a duplicate file name to be rejected, this might cause you some problems.

  I'm attempting too develop a 3rd party application to make it easy to import 3d model part's into my mod for skyrim the plan was to have a fileviewer and preview window of the nif model but since , I don't know what the NIF file format actually is or where to get the vertex data from it or the hole nine yards of parsing a text file in detail I'm at a lost what to do. I'm very good at C++ but not at this super over complicated file formats , id much prefer .obj over the nif file format specification here -- http://niftools.sourceforge.net/doc/nif/index.html If someone could help me in understanding the file format in a natural and simple way and the exact parsing needed to create the 3D Model in the frustum and a explanation on how you figured that out would be happy to know. • WinRAR extracting file before checking password? [closed]

  I tried extracting an encrypted rar file today, and I discovered that I had to wait the same amount of time I'll wait before a file is extracted (extraction reaches 99% completion) for WinRAR to conclude it's the wrong password (winrar message: "CRC failed wrong password or corrupt file?") . My guess is that this file is somewhere on the Computer just before the detection, - it has to be and then gets deleted after it's verified that the password is not the same? Is there anyway I can forcefully get this file from the PC? Thanks.

• File exists but is unreadable by PHP

  More than once I have ran into this issue: I have a cache file that is automatically generated by PHP. It contains some generated PHP code. However for some reason the file cannot be read and parsed by PHP. These are the symptoms: File actually exists on file system. Using Terminal you can navigate to the file, view its contents (which are fully intact), etcetc. PHP file_exists() will report that the file exists...which is correct since it does :) Then I include() the file. But when actually parsing the file, PHP will just consider it an empty file. No fatal error, just no PHP code actually executed. Again, its as if the file was completely empty (which I assure you, it is not)... It is not a permissions issue. Permissions are set as needed. Workaround: open the file in Terminal via 'nano' or some other text editor and just save it to the disk again. After that (despite no changes to the content) PHP will run it just fine... As a clarification, I'd like to add that this happens rarely, but frequently enough to be a problem. And even when it does, there are hundreds of other similar files on the same system that work without a problem... If this were an issue affecting only my own scripts, I would consider that there must be a bug in the way I generate the PHP code. But no, the issue has occurred more than once when deploying to a server (usually from Beanstalk repository via FTP). The issue has been present on various servers, Debian and Ubuntu running Zend Community Server. Any ideas? One that crossed my mind was opcode cache-ing (part of Zend Server CE)...could it be that an empty version of the file is cached if it is requested while the write operation is still in progress?

  I wanted to create a parser that can read a solidworks file and turn it into a protein data bank file. This has already been done in a program called DiamondCAD. http://www.zyvex.com/Research/DiamondCAD.html I waant to make a parser that can parse the data and then visualize it the same way as DiamondCAD. I have downloaded and opened solidworks files before and they make no sense to me with never before seen symbols and looks like ancient writing. Does anyone know how a sldprt. file is structured and how it can be parsed into a PDB file? (A software called VMD converts a PDB to Obj. file so it is proof of concept)

• I am not able to delete a corrupt NTFS partition on my pen drive. How can I force its deletion?

  I formatted my 16GB pen drive with the NTFS file system in windows vista. After that I started copying some files. However, only a few files were copied to the pen drive before the copy operation hung. So I cancelled the copy operation. Now I am unable to use the pen drive. I DON'T REALLY NEED ANY FILES THAT I COPIED TO THE PENDRIVE. I JUST WANT TO USE THE PENDRIVE AGAIN. I have tried using Ubuntu to format the pen drive. But when i use fdisk to delete the partition, it looks like it is working fine but in fact it does not delete the partition. Also I am unable to format it with any other file system. When I tried to use gparted, it throws the following error: Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 14: The disk contains an unclean file system(0,0). The file system wasn't safely closed on window. Fixing ntfs_attr_pread_i:ntfs_pread failed: Input/output error Failed to read NTFS$Bitmap:Input/output error NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a softRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows then reboot into windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very important!. If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper directory, (e.g. /dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the dmraid documentation for more details When I searched the Internet I found help on how to recover. But I don’t want to recover, I want to format it again. When I pressed w after deleting the partition, it took more time than previously. After that i removed the pen drive and re-inserted, but the partition I had deleted was still present. If I simply type the command fdisk /dev/sdb without removing the pen drive after the partition is deleted, then it returns the error message Unable to open /dev/sdb. • How to execute "eval" without writing "eval" in JavaScript

  Here's the deal, we have a big JS library that we want to compress, but YUI compressor doesn't fully compress the code if it finds an "eval" statement, out of fear that it will break something else. That's great and all, but we know exactly what is getting eval'd, so we don't want it to get conservative because there's an eval statement in MooTools JSON.decode So basically the question is, is there any alternative (maybe creative) way of writing a expression that returns the eval function?   I'd like to try writing my own minimal NT subsystem on Windows 7 for purely educational purposes -- something like a bare-bones equivalent of the posix.exe in Microsoft's Subsystem for Unix-based Applications. But I can't seem to find any public documentation on this topic. What API does a subsystem need to implement? How does it get registered with Windows? How does the subsystem image need to be built (what flags need to be set in the PE header, etc.)? I'd most like to find a book or web site with an overview of the entire subject, or even the source code for a "hello world" NT subsystem that someone else has written. But anything at all would be appreciated if you can point me in the right direction here...

  Aye it's been done a million times before, but damnit I want to do it again. I'm writing a simple Matrix Library for C++ with the intention of doing it right. I've come across something that's fairly obvious in mathematics, but not so obvious to a strongly typed system -- the fact that a 1x1 matrix is just a number. To avoid this, I started walking down the hairy path of matrices as a composition of vectors, but also stumbled upon the fact that two vectors multiplied together could either be a number or a dyad, depending on the orientation of the two. My question is, what is the right way to deal with this situation in a strongly typed language like C++ or Java?
