    Hi, I'm using Google Book Search API to add missings bits and pieces to my database. Problem is that The API gives me back a list of book editions, and not reference to the original book itself. The data I'm trying to get is this: Original title: The Hobbit Original year of publication: 1937 Can anyone help? Just in case anyone asks: I'm developing this in Python.

    Hi, I am using appcfg.py to upload data to datastore from a csv file. But every time I try, I am getting error: [info ] Authentication failed even if i am using Admin id and password. In my app.yaml file I am having: handlers: - url: /remote_api script: $PYTHON_LIB/google/appengine/ext/remote_api/handler.py login: admin - url: .* script: MainHandler.py Can anybody please help me? How does one access verbose_name from x=X() (an instance of X)? One might expect that x.p.verbose_name would work, or alternatively x.properties()['p'].verbose_name, but neither seems to work.     When a user moves the Google map, I would like to display items in the viewing range of the user automatically. How can I efficiently and quickly display the items? I have basic understanding of calling getBounds() method every time the user moves the map, but I am not sure how I can efficiently search and get from my database the items within the lat/lng of the bounds of the current viewport. Is there easier and faster way of doing this?

  • Why do custom styled Google Maps (v3) not support marker animation (pin drop)?

    For example, I cannot combine the concepts of this simple example: link text with the concepts of this example: link text, which uses the styled V3 api. In Chrome I get an error saying that: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'DROP' of undefined And it refers to this line of code: animation: google.maps.Animation.DROP, When I replace the javascript link reference to use the version of the API from the first example, the error goes away, but I lose the custom styling.     Does anyone know if Google's CDN for jQuery is available in China? http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxlibs/ I might have a project where I'll need to support localization a variety of countries, including mainland China, and want to know if I'll need to find alternatives such as: http://www.asp.net/ajax/CDN/ Which is okay, but my understanding is that the Microsoft CDN doesn't support jQuery UI. I've checked over at the following Google report page, but can't really figure out if 'sites' includes their CDN delivery: http://www.google.com/prc/report.html

By e.g. I am in France (=google.fr) I set the language from French = English. And see the usual google picture, but not the custom one...

I've tried doing this, but it never seems to work as it will focus on the wrong area - the old area, rather than the new area. Basically, I'd like a google map code that uses $place as a location.
