  • Networking setup for three systems

    Hi, I want to setup a client server environment. I have three systems one with Solaris and the other two with windows. I want to install all the database and other software on the Server and enable the client systems a limited access to the system resources. Can anyone help me how to setup this and also the hardware requirements to setup such an environment. Your replies will be mostly appreciable and helpful to others who has similar thoughts or requirements.     Hi, i have select like: select substr(account,1,4), currency, amount, module,count(*) quan, wm_concat(id) ids from all_transactions group by substr(account,1,4), currency, amount, module But sometimes COUNT(*) is more then 600. In that case i get: 'ORA-06502: PL/SQL: : character string buffer too small' Is there any way out to keep wm_concat(id) for all records? Because excluding this function for entries with big COUNT(*) is the way out.

  • Ninject.Web.PageBase still resulting in null reference to injected dependency

    I have an ASP.NET 3.5 WebForms application using Ninject 2.0. However, attempting to use the Ninject.Web extension to provide injection into System.Web.UI.Page, I'm getting a null reference to my injected dependency even though if I switch to using a service locator to provide the reference (using Ninject), there's no issue. My configuration (dumbed down for simplicity): public partial class Default : PageBase // which is Ninject.Web.PageBase { [Inject] public IClubRepository Repository { get; set; } protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { var something = Repository.GetById(1); // results in null reference exception. } } ... //global.asax.cs public class Global : Ninject.Web.NinjectHttpApplication { /// <summary> /// Creates a Ninject kernel that will be used to inject objects. /// </summary> /// <returns> /// The created kernel. /// </returns> protected override IKernel CreateKernel() { IKernel kernel = new StandardKernel(new MyModule()); return kernel; } .. ... public class MyModule : NinjectModule { public override void Load() { Bind<IClubRepository>().To<ClubRepository>(); //... } } Getting the IClubRepository concrete instance via a service locator works fine (uses same "MyModule"). [Update] Finally got back to this, and it works in Classic Pipeline mode, but not Integrated. Is the classic pipeline a requirement?   • JNDI / Classpath problem in glassfish

    I am in the process of converting a large J2EE app from EJB 2 to EJB 3 (all stateless session beans, using glassfish 2.1.1), and running out of ideas. The first EJB I converted (let's call it Foo) ran without major problems (it was the only one in its ejb-module and I could completely replace the deployment descriptor with annotations) and the app ran fine. But after converting the second one (let's call it Bar, one of several in a different ejb-module) there is a weird combination of problems: The app deploys without errors (nothing in the logs either) There is an error when looking up Bar via JNDI When looking at the JNDI tree in the glassfish admin console, Bar is not present at all. The other EJBs in the same module do appear, as does Foo. Any ideas what could cause this or how to diagnose it further? The beans are pretty straightforward: @Stateless(name = "Foo") @RolesAllowed("FOOUSER") @TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.SUPPORTS) public class FooImpl extends BaseBean implements Foo { I'm also having some problems with the deployment descriptor for Bar (I'd like to eliminate it, but glassfish doesn't seem to like having a bean appear only in sun-ejb-jar.xml, or having some beans in a module declared in the descriptor and others use only annotations), but I can't see how that could cause the ClassNotFoundException on Foo. Is there a way to see the ClassPath that Glassfish is actually using?
