This feature is available in all browsers I tested, but doesn't exist for the forms in my own projects. How can I approach that effect?   I am trying to get have the lower part of list view slide down, by hiding an unhiding linear layout in list_item. The problem is the view seems to get reused in LayoutAdapter so that the change does not just effect the view I intended to apply it to. Instead it shows up wherever the view is reused. How can I restrict the drop down to just the view on which I requested the dropdown? By drop down I mean unhide the linear layout.

  I am trying to use open query to run a stored procedure in a remote database, and insert it into a table in my local database: -- this works exec remotesvr.sys.dbo.golden_table 'some', 'parameters' While the above works out, I try the following: insert into my_local_table exec remotesvr.sys.dbo.golden_table 'some', 'parameters' I get a SQL error to the effect of 'unable to begin a distributed transaction'. Is there any way around this?, i.e. can I execute take the results of a remote stored procedure and put its contents in a local table?

  I'm turning off the monitor using SendMessage(HWND_BROUADCART, WM_SYSCOMMAND, SC_MONITORRPOWER, 2). That works, but the monitor turns back on when someone touches the keyboard or mouse. I tried to get rid of this using the DevicePowerSetDeviceState function with DEVICEPOWER_CLEAR_WAKEENABLED for the keyboard and mouse: it returns no error, but has no effect either. How can I prevent the monitor from powering back on in Vista and Windows7?
