  • Using Response.Redirect with jQuery Thickbox

    - by Chris Stewart
I'm using jQuery Thickbox to display an iframe (upload.aspx) that allows a user to upload a file. In the code behind for the upload.aspx I finish by sending: Response.Redirect("blah.aspx"); The page I redirect to is dynamic based on the results of the upload process. When this redirect happens, it happens inside the Thickbox and not the parent window as I'd like it to. Here's the calling ASP.NET page (home.aspx): <a href="upload.aspx?placeValuesBeforeTB_=savedValues&TB_iframe=true&height=300&width=500&modal=true" class="thickbox">Add New</a> And here's the submit button inside of the upload.aspx page: <asp:Button ID="btnUpload" runat="server" Text="Upload" OnClick="btnUpload_Click" OnClientClick="self.parent.tb_remove();" /> This is designed to close the modal window and send control to the code behind to perform the file upload, processing, etc. Has anyone experienced this before? How would I go about sending a redirect on the parent window?

  • UIPopoverController w/ UINavigationController Subview contentSizeForViewInPopover doesnt work on Par

    - by Abbacore
I have a UIPopoverController with a subclass UINavigationController. Both the parent and child views are UITableviews. When i call parent view originally with contentSizeForViewInPopover = (320,480) it works great. When i click into the child view i resize the popover to contentSizeForViewInPopover = (320,780) When return back to the parent view i cannot get the popover to resize back to contentSizeForViewInPopover = (320,480). the popover stays at the (320,780) size. Been trying everything but just missing something. Anyone know how resize the view with UIPopoverControllers in the above scenario? Thanks in Advance!!

  • Entity Framework 4 ste delete foreign key relationship

    - by user169867
I'm using EF4 and STE w/ Silverlight. I'm having trouble deleting child records from my primary entity. For some reason I can remove child entities if their foreign key to my primary entity is part of their Primary Key. But if it's not, they don't get removed. I believe these posts explains it: http://mocella.blogspot.com/2010/01/entity-framework-v4-object-graph.html http://blogs.msdn.com/dsimmons/archive/2010/01/31/deleting-foreign-key-relationships-in-ef4.aspx My question is how how do I remove a child record who's foreign key is not part of its primary key in Silverlight where I don't have access to a DeleteObject() function?

  • Python 2.4 inline if statements

    - by Marcus Whybrow
I am setting up an existing django project on a dreamhost web server, so far I have got everything to work correctly. However I developed under python 2.5 and dreamhost by default uses python 2.4. The following line seems gives a syntax error because of the if keyword: 'parent': c.parent.pk if c.parent is not None else None ^ Is it the case that this form of if statement was introduced in Python 2.5, if so is there an easy change that would make it compatible with Python 2.4? Or, should I just change to Python 2.5. I have already installed python 2.5 to a directory under my home directory, and have succeeded in running the python interpreter under 2.5. If I wish to use Python 2.5 for everything, where can I set this?

  • Can't focus fancybox iframe input

  • Accessing original WordPress blog's DB from sub-blogs in network mode

    - by aendrew
I'm helping with a university radio station website that runs WordPress and was recently switched over to Network (Multi-site/multi-user) mode by myself. The setup is as such: The parent site (www.stationID.com) runs a bunch of custom-built plugins to construct things like the show schedule calendar, the "Now Playing" widget, podcast list, et cetera. The new network websites ("wiki.stationID.com", "buddypress.stationID.com" for instance) run the same template as the parent site, but it stops after rendering the first section because the widgets from point 1 grab data from the main site's database that is not available to sub-blogs. My question is: how do I get data from the main site's tables on the sub-domain sub-blogs? A related question is: how do I set the $wpdb->prefix to be the same as the parent site on the child websites without it negatively effecting how the child website pulls data from its own database? Any help would be awesome, thanks!

  • jquery hover not working properly other than IE6

    - by Kranthi
    Hi All, We developed navigation bar using jQuery 1.4.2. Functionality is to show submneus for different menu items when user hovers on it. It is working perfectly in IE6 but we see some weird problems in other browsers. In Firefox, when the page gets loaded, it works fine but when we hit f5, the submenu wont appear on hover. To get submenu we need to click on any other menu item. In Chrome, its the same to add on, some time even we click on any menu item, and hover submenu wont show up. In Safari, nothing shows up most of the times, but on clicking 5-6 menu items, submenu is shown.When we see loading text in safari it shows the submenu. but on every click the loading text wont appear.. We are very much confused..is it the browser behavior/code/jquery?? Below is the snippet: Html: <ul> <li><a class="mainLinks" href="google.com">Support</a> <ul><li>Sublink1</li></ul> </ul> Html code is absolutely fine. Jquery: var timeout = null; var ie = (document.all) ? true : false; $(document).ready(function(){ var $mainLink = null; var $subLink = null; $(".mainLinks").each(function(){ if ($(this).hasClass("current")) { $(this).mouseout(function() { var $this = $(this); timeout = setTimeout(function() { $(".popUpNav", $this.parent()).css({ visibility : 'hidden' }); $('.popUpArrow').hide(); ieCompat('show'); }, 200); }); } else { $(this).hover(function() { reset(); ieCompat('hide'); // Saving this for later use in the popUpNav hover event $mainLink = $(this); $popUpNav = $(".popUpNav", $mainLink.parent()); // Default width is width of one column var popupWidth = $('.popUpNavSection').width() + 20; // Calculate popup width depending on the number of columns var numColumns = $popUpNav.find('.popUpNavSection').length; if (numColumns != 0) { popupWidth *= numColumns; } var elPos = $mainLink.position(); var leftOffset = 0; if (elPos.left + popupWidth > 950) { leftOffset = elPos.left + popupWidth - 948; } $popUpNav.css({ top : elPos.top + 31 + 'px', left : elPos.left - leftOffset + 'px', visibility : 'visible', width : popupWidth + 'px' }); $('.popUpArrow').css({ left : elPos.left + Math.round(($mainLink.width() / 2)) + 20 + 'px', top : '27px' }).show(); }, function() { var $this = $(this); timeout = setTimeout(function() { $(".popUpNav", $this.parent()).css({ visibility : 'hidden' }); $('.popUpArrow').hide() ieCompat('show'); }, 200); } ); } }); $(".subLinks").hover( function(e) { $subLink = $(this); var elPos = $subLink.position(); var popupWidth = $(".popUpNavLv2",$subLink.parent()).width(); var leftOffset = 0; ieCompat('hide'); $(".popUpNavLv2",$subLink.parent()).css({ top : elPos.top + 32 + 'px', left : elPos.left - leftOffset + 'px', visibility : 'visible' }); }, function() { var $this = $(this); timeout = setTimeout(function() { $(".popUpNavLv2", $this.parent()).css({ visibility : 'hidden' }); }, 200); ieCompat('show'); } ); $('.popUpNav').hover( function() { clearTimeout(timeout); $mainLink.addClass('current'); $(this).css('visibility', 'visible'); $('.popUpArrow').show(); }, function() { $mainLink.removeClass('current'); $(this).css('visibility', 'hidden'); $('.popUpArrow').hide(); ieCompat('show'); } ); $('.popUpNavLv2').hover( function() { clearTimeout(timeout); $(this).css('visibility', 'visible'); ieCompat('hide'); }, function() { ieCompat('show'); $(this).css('visibility', 'hidden'); } ); // If on mac, reduce left padding on the tabs if (/mac os x/.test(navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase())) { $('.mainLinks, .mainLinksHome').css('padding-left', '23px'); } }); Thanks a lot in advance for looking into it.   • Why is my onItemSelectedListener not called in a ListView?

    - by Janusz

But the debug output is never shown in LogCat.

  • SQL Server 2008 ContainsTable, CTE, and Paging

    - by David Murdoch
I'd like to perform efficient paging using containstable. The following query selects the top 10 ranked results from my database using containstable when searching for a name (first or last) that begins with "Joh". DECLARE @Limit int; SET @Limit = 10; SELECT TOP @Limit c.ChildID, c.PersonID, c.DOB, c.Gender FROM [Person].[vFullName] AS v INNER JOIN CONTAINSTABLE( [Person].[vFullName], (FullName), IS ABOUT ( "Joh*" WEIGHT (.4), "Joh" WEIGHT (.6)) ) AS k3 ON v.PersonID = k3.[KEY] JOIN [Child].[Details] c ON c.PersonID = v.PersonID JOIN [Person].[Details] p ON p.PersonID = c.PersonID ORDER BY k3.RANK DESC, FullName ASC, p.Active DESC, c.ChildID ASC I'd like to combine it with the following CTE which returns the 10th-20th results ordered by ChildID (the primary key): DECLARE @Start int; DECLARE @Limit int; SET @Start = 10; SET @Limit = 10; WITH ChildEntities AS ( SELECT ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY ChildID) AS Row, ChildID FROM Child.Details ) SELECT c.ChildID, c.PersonID, c.DOB, c.Gender FROM ChildEntities cte INNER JOIN Child.Details c ON cte.ChildID = c.ChildID WHERE cte.Row BETWEEN @Start+1 AND @Start+@Limit ORDER BY cte.Row ASC

  • Why Does .Hide()ing and .Show()ing Panels in wxPython Result in the Sizer Changing the Layout?

    - by MetaHyperBolic
As referenced in my previous question, I am trying to make something slightly wizard-like in function. I have settled on a single frame with a sizer added to it. I build panels for each of the screens I would like users to see, add them to the frame's sizer, then switch between panels by .Hide()ing one panel, then calling a custom .ShowYourself() on the next panel. Obviously, I would like the buttons to remain in the same place as the user progresses through the process. I have linked together two panels in an infinite loop by their "Back" and "Next" buttons so you can see what is going on. The first panel looks great; tom10's code worked on that level, as it eschewed my initial, over-fancy attempt with borders flying every which way. And then the second panel seems to have shrunk down to the bare minimum. As we return to the first panel, the shrinkage has occurred here as well. Why does it look fine on the first panel, but not after I return there? Why is calling .Fit() necessary if I do not want a 10 pixel by 10 pixel wad of grey? And if it is necessary, why does .Fit() give inconsistent results? This infinite loop seems to characterize my experience with this: I fix the layout on a panel, only to find that switching ruins the layout for other panels. I fix that problem, by using sizer_h.Add(self.panel1, 0) instead of sizer_h.Add(self.panel1, 1, wx.EXPAND), and now my layouts are off again. So far, my "solution" is to add a mastersizer.SetMinSize((475, 592)) to each panel's master sizer (commented out in the code below). This is a cruddy solution because 1) I have had to find the numbers that work by trial and error (-5 pixels for the width, -28 pixels for the height). 2) I don't understand why the underlying issue still happens. What's the correct, non-ugly solution? Instead of adding all of the panels to the frame's sizer at once, should switching panels involve .Detach()ing that panel from the frame's sizer and then .Add()ing the next panel to the frame's sizer? Is there a .JustMakeThisFillThePanel() method hiding somewhere I have missed in both the wxWidgets and the wxPython documents online? I'm obviously missing something in my mental model of layout. Here's a TinyURL link, if I can't manage to embed the . Minimalist code pasted below. import wx import sys class My_App(wx.App): def OnInit(self): self.frame = My_Frame(None) self.frame.Show() self.SetTopWindow(self.frame) return True def OnExit(self): print 'Dying ...' class My_Frame(wx.Frame): def __init__(self, image, parent=None,id=-1, title='Generic Title', pos=wx.DefaultPosition, style=wx.CAPTION | wx.STAY_ON_TOP): size = (480, 620) wx.Frame.__init__(self, parent, id, 'Program Title', pos, size, style) sizer_h = wx.BoxSizer(wx.HORIZONTAL) self.panel0 = User_Interaction0(self) sizer_h.Add(self.panel0, 1, wx.EXPAND) self.panel1 = User_Interaction1(self) sizer_h.Add(self.panel1, 1, wx.EXPAND) self.SetSizer(sizer_h) self.panel0.ShowYourself() def ShutDown(self): self.Destroy() class User_Interaction0(wx.Panel): def __init__(self, parent, id=-1): wx.Panel.__init__(self, parent, id) # • CACLS Confusion

    - by codeulike
During my NSIS setup script for a WinForms app, I use the following CACLS command to give the Users group full rights to a subfolder: Exec 'CACLS "$INSTDIR\SubFolder" /E /T /C /G "Users":F' So in effect the CACLS command executed is something like: CACLS "c:\Program Files\MyApp\SubFolder" /E /T /C /G "Users":F When I then look at the Folder permissions in Windows Explorer (right click on the folder and choose Properties, go to the Security tab), the correct permissions are there but they are uneditable. Furthermore, clicking the Advanced button for the 'Advanced Security Settings' shows that SubFolder is inheriting the "Users" group permissions from a 'Parent Object', but what is that Parent Object, because its not the folder above. Why are the permissions added by CACLS uneditable, and why are they inherited from nonexistent parent object? I thinking I may have set the options on CACLS wrong. I'm on Windows XP.

  • How do you deal with UAC when creating a process as a different user?

    - by sysrpl
I am having an issue with UAC and executing a non interactive process as a different user (APIs such as CreateProcessAsUser or CreateProcessWithLogonW). My program is intended to do the following: 1) Create a new windows user account (check, works correctly) 2) Create a non interactive child process as new user account (fails when UAC is enabled) My application includes a administrator manifest, and elevates correct when UAC is enabled in order to complete step 1. But step 2 is failing to execute correctly. I suspect this is because the child process which executes as another user is not inheriting the elevated rights of my main process (which executes as the interactive user). I would like to know how to resolve this issue. When UAC is off my program works correctly. How can I deal with UAC or required elevated rights in this situation? If it helps any, the child process needs to run as another user in order to setup file encryption for the new user account.

  • Objective-C Pointer to class that implements a protocol

    - by Winder
I have three classes which implement the same protocol, and have the same parent class which doesn't implement the protocol. Normally I would have the protocol as pure virtual functions in the parent class but I couldn't find an Objective-C way to do that. How can I utilize polymorphism on these subclasses and call the functions implemented in the protocol without warnings? Some pseudocode if that didn't make sense: @interface superclass: NSObject {} @interface child1: superclass<MyProtocol> {} @interface child2: superclass<MyProtocol> {} The consumer of these classes: @class child1 @class child2 @class superclass @interface SomeViewController: UIViewController { child1 *oneView; child2 *otherView; superclass *currentView; } -(void) someMethod { [currentView protocolFunction]; } The only nice way I've found to do pure virtual functions in Objective-C is a hack by putting [self doesNotRecognizeSelector:_cmd]; in the parent class, but it isn't ideal.

  • C# Improvement on a Fire-and-Forget

    - by adam
Greetings I have a program that creates multiples instances of a class, runs the same long-running Update method on all instances and waits for completion. I'm following Kev's approach from this question of adding the Update to ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem. In the main prog., I'm sleeping for a few minutes and checking a Boolean in the last child to see if done while(!child[child.Length-1].isFinished){ Thread.Sleep(...); } This solution is working the way I want, but is there a better way to do this? Both for the independent instances and checking if all work is done. Thanks

  • Perl: Event-driven Programming

    - by Shiftbit
Is there any POSIX signals that I could utilize in my perl program to create event-driven programming? Currently I have multi-process program that is able to cross communicate but my parent thread is only able to listen to listen at one child at a time. foreach (@threads) { sysread(${$_}{'read'}, my $line, 100); chomp($line); print "Parent hears: $line\n"; } The problem is that the parent sits in a continual wait state until it receives it a signal from the first child before it can continue on. I am relying on 'pipe' for my intercommunication. My current solution is very similar to: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2558098/how-can-i-use-pipe-to-facilitate-interprocess-communication-in-perl If possible I would like to rely on a $SIG{...} event or any non-CPAN solution.

  • Probability Homework Help

    - by Alon
A child is tasting two types of chocolate. The probability that he will like the first type if he liked the second type is 5/6. The probability that he will like the second type if he liked the first type is 3/8. It is known that the probability that the child won't like the second type of chocolate is doubled than the probability that he won't like the first type. What is the probability that the child like at least one of the two type of chocolates? So I tried: 1-[P(not like the first type AND not like the second type)] which is like: 1-[P(not like the first type)*P(not like first type / not like the second type) + P(not like the second type) which equals: P(not like first type / not like second type) But now, I don't have the data of the conditional probability. In addition, I'd like to see how could it solved using a computer programming language. Any ideas? Thank you.

  • How to disable scrolling the document body?

    - by Manohar
I have a HTML which has lot of content and a vertical scrollbar appears as soon as the HTML is loaded. Now from this HTML a full screen IFRAME is loaded. The problem is when the IFRAME is loaded, the parent scrollbar still persists, I want to disable the scrollbar when the Iframe is loaded. I tried: document.body.scroll = "no", it did not work with FF and chrome. document.style.overflow = "hidden"; after this I was still able to scroll, and the whole iframe would scroll up revealing the parent HTML. My requirement is, when the IFRAME is loaded, we should never be able to scroll the entire IFRAME if the parent HTML has a scrollbar. Any ideas?

  • C#: How to change the region containing MDI children?

    - by Erlend D.
When creating a MDI parent, the entire "inside" of the form is made the MDI region. If you add a menustrip to the MDI parent, the MDI region is scaled down a bit to make room for the menustrip. But if you add a panel to the top of the MDI parent, the entire inside is still the MDI region. Which means that you can move MDI children up behind the panel, and hide their title line. If you move MDI children behind a menustrip, scrollbars appear, and you can scroll higher up to access the title line. But the scrollbars doesn't appear when you are using a panel instead of a menustrip. Because the MDI region doesn't know about the panel, I suppose. How can I scale the MDI region to start below a given Y value?

  • Cannot connect QMainWindow and QDialog

    - by bartek
Hi, I have a QMainWindow displaying a QDialog: CalibrationDialog d(this); d.exec(); My QMainWindow class has a signal: signals: void PenOn( QPoint p ); And QDialog has a slot: public slots: void on_PenON( QPoint p ); I tried connecting PenOn event to on_PenOn in two ways: After instantiating QDialog void MainWindow::on_actionC_triggered() { appState = CALIBR; CalibrationDialog d(this); connect( this, SIGNAL(PenOn(QPoint)), &d,SLOT(on_PenOn(QPoint)) ); d.exec(); } In QDialog constructor CalibrationDialog::CalibrationDialog(QWidget *parent) : QDialog(parent), ui(new Ui::CalibrationDialog) { ui-setupUi(this); [...] connect( parent, SIGNAL(PenOn(QPoint)), this,SLOT(on_PenOn(QPoint)) ); } None of this works :(. I'm emitting PenOn signal from MainWindow slot activated by another thread. What am I doing wrong?

  • Linq query - multiple where, with extension method

    - by Cj Anderson
My code works for ORs as I've listed it below but I want to use AND instead of OR and it fails. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. Basically I have a Linq query that searches on multiple fields in an XML file. The search fields might not all have information. Each element runs the extension method, and tests the equality. Any advice would be appreciated. refinedresult = From x In theresult _ Where x.<thelastname>.Value.TestPhoneElement(LastName) Or _ x.<thefirstname>.Value.TestPhoneElement(FirstName) Or _ x.<id>.Value.TestPhoneElement(Id) Or _ x.<number>.Value.TestPhoneElement(Telephone) Or _ x.<location>.Value.TestPhoneElement(Location) Or _ x.<building>.Value.TestPhoneElement(building) Or _ x.<department>.Value.TestPhoneElement(Department) _ Select x Public Function TestPhoneElement(ByVal parent As String, ByVal value2compare As String) As Boolean 'find out if a value is null, if not then compare the passed value to see if it starts with Dim ret As Boolean = False If String.IsNullOrEmpty(parent) Then Return False End If If String.IsNullOrEmpty(value2compare) Then Return ret Else ret = parent.ToLower.StartsWith(value2compare.ToLower.Trim) End If Return ret End Function

  • Does JSON.js cause conflicts with Sys.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer.serialize

    - by David Robbins
I am using Telerik controls in my webforms and want to serialize object on the client. Since I am getting a stackoverflow error with Sys.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer.deserialize I wanted to try JSON. With both JSON and and the MS library I get "Sys.Application is undefined." Has anyone encountered this what did you do as a work around? EDIT I am serializing my object on a parent page and passing them via an argument to a child window. The child window is in an IFRAME tag. The object can be used in the child page, but I receive the stackoverflow error when I serialize it. The object is an Array of objects.

  • Placing figure in top-right corner of another

    - by Ivan Dubrov
I want child figure (org.eclipse.draw2d.Figure) to be relative to the top-right corner of the parent (I want place some small icon, which will be ImageFigure, to be 12 pixels from top and right borders). Is there an existing layout manager that can layout child this way? The org.eclipse.draw2d.XYLayout is not capable of measuring position relative to corner other than top-left. Of course, I can: Write layout manager myself Layout children figure every time bounds are changed for the parent (in parent layout() method). However, I would like to know if some existing layout manager provides that functionality.

  • adding tabs to tabcontrol from inside usercontrol

    - by Jakob
How can I add tabs to a tabcontrol that exists in one usercontrol from another usercontrol that is contained within a tab itself?? Can I do it without passing in the tabcontrol as a parameter in the constructor, perhaps via some static global method? I've tried public static ObservableTabCollection FindCollectionFromUC(this DependencyObject depObject) { bool loop = true; var parent = (VisualTreeHelper.GetParent(depObject) as FrameworkElement); while (loop) { if (parent.GetType() is TabControl) { loop = false; return ((ObservableTabCollection)((TabControl)parent).ItemsSource); } } return null; } but this is just an infinite loop
