  • Scrolling png with text & alpha on top of a static UIImageView

    I have a view controller that has a view structure as follows: FilesOwner FirstResponder View ImageView (.jpg) ScrollView ImageView (.png) The text in the innermost imageview has white text and clear (alpha) all around. I want to scroll the innermost imageview, and see the background image (the .jpg) behind it. Its not working. Its acting like the scrollview background obscures the underneath .jpg. I say this because if I change the background color of the scrollview, that's what I see i.e. if I set it black, I see black behind my .png, if I set it white, I see white. If I change the alpha of the scrollview that doesn't seem to work either. The one other thing I tried was unchecking drawing: Opaque, but that doesn't get it either.

    hey guys, I have list box that contains UserControl as item template the user control contains few text blocks in a grid, the thing is that I want to add context menu to my user control that will show on the list item right click but currently only right clicking the textbox inside the user control triggers the context menu appearance clicking the spaces between those textboxes triggers nothing, any idea about how can I trigger the context menu from the container list box? What I want to do is bind a textbox's text in the UI with this list and when i change the value in the textbox then all objects in the list update their height value.   • jQuery Autocomplete plugin (Jorn Zaefferer's) - how to dynamically change the list of displayed valu

    I'm using Jorn Zaefferer's Autocomplete query plugin, http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-autocomplete/ I have options set so it shows all the values when you click in the empty text field, a bit like a select, and the option is also set so that the user can only choose from the list of values used by the autocomplete (so it's kind of like a select but with autocomplete functionality). I have two radio buttons below the text field, which determine whether the user chooses from a long list or a short list of possible values. I want to update the values used in the autocomplete when one of these radio buttons is clicked. Currently i'm doing this in a not very clever way by calling autocomplete again on the same text field, with the different array of values, but this creates a situation where both are active at once, and i can see the long list peeking out from behind the short list. What i need to do is either a) dynamically change the values used in the autocomplete or b) remove (unbind?) the autocomplete from the text field before re-initialising it. Either of these would do tbh though option a) is kind of nicer. Any ideas anyone?     Hi all, I have a working WAMP environment (Apache Friends). I decided to try Subversion and downloaded CollabNetSubversion-server-1.6.9-1.win32.exe. On the download page there were packages including Apache server which I did not use - because I didn't want to replace my current Apache installation. I just installed the one that did not include Apache, and now I want to configure it to work with my current Apache. What should I do? Is there an easy step by step tutorial to explain this?

    Okay one of my homework problems is to take a list of lists and return the car of each sublist as a list. I have it to where I can print out the values, but it's not a list. To be honest, I have no clue how to output lists. Here's what I got: (define (car-print alist) (if (null? alist) (newline) (begin (write (car (car alist))) (display " ") (car-print(cdr alist))))) This is a cheap way to do it, perhaps some help on actually solving this problem would be much appreciated.     What I want is to have an options menu where the user can choose to navigate the menu between: 1) touching a button and then pressing down on the trackball to select it, and 2) drawing predefined gestures from Gestures Builder As it stands now, I have created my buttons with OnClickListener and the gestures with GestureOverlayView. Then I select starting a new Activity depending on whether the using pressed a button or executed a gesture. However, when I attempt to draw a gesture, it is not picked up. Only pressing the buttons is recognized. I tried setting margin-bottom: -106px on the "container" div but that didn't change the height of the "container" div.. The "content" div will have varied height as it's obviously for text, etc. Is there any way of making this work? Thanks in advance :)

  • Best pratice: How do I implement a list similar to Stackoverflow's Users List?

    Technologies involved: ASP.NET Web-forms Javascript (jQuery for instance) Case To make it clearer let's give the Stackoverflow Users list as an example. This list can be manipulated at client-side. I can search, page and so forth. So obviously we would need to call jQuery.ajax to retrieve the HTML of each page given a search. Alright. Now this leaves me with the first question: What is the best way to render the response for the jQuery.ajax at server-side? I can't use templates I suppose, so the most obvious solution I think is to create the HTML tags as server-controls and render them as the result of an ASHX request? Is this is best approach? Nice. That solved we have yet another problem: When the user first enters the Authors List the first list page should already come from the server completely rendered alright? Of course we could render the first page as well as an ajax call but I don't think it's better. This time I CAN use templates to render the list but this template couldn't be reused in case 1. What do I do? Now the final question: Now we have 2 rendering strategies: 1) Client and 2) Server. How do I reuse code for the 2 renderings? What are the best pratices for solving these problems?

    Right, so if you have to decide on a server-side language for a distributed Linux-based server backend, would you choose: PHP Mono ASP.net Java As a C++ programmer, I'm thinking Java+Tomcat, but I'd love to hear experienced thoughts here, especially relating to debugging and IDE (likely Eclipse).     Hi, I have a nib file that contains an header that will be used in most of my views, so that I can change it's layout just once when I need. I'd like to know if it's possible to add the header nib view with interface builder, or if I need to do that programmatically and how should it be done. I've thought about setting the subclass of the subview to a UIView subclass that automatically loads the nib file, but I'd like to do that with interface builder. Is that possible?
