Extra line breaks inserted in MrEd text%

In a DrScheme project, I'm using a MrEd editor-canvas% with text% and inserting a string from a literal in a Scheme file. This results in an extra blank line in the editor for each line of text I'm trying to insert. Is this a Windows vs. Unix linebreak problem? How do I pass a variable number of parameters along with a callback function?

All of this is needed to do this in a cross-browser way. Until now, my project only had to lazy-load Sizzle at one point in the script, so I was able to just hard-code the gather_content() function call into the load_sizzle() function. However, I now need to lazy-load Sizzle at two different points in the script, and call a different function either time once it's loaded. How can I modify my function so that I can specify a variable number of parameters, to be passed with the callback function? Or, am I going about this the wrong way? Ultimately, I just want to load Sizzle, then call any function that I need to (with any arguments that it needs) once it's done loading. Thanks for any help!

Tinymce Line break problem on Safari and Chrome

Hello all, Does anyone know how to fix the problem about Tinymce Line break problem on Safari and Chrome. For example, Let's say, I have two line pure text. When I copy and paste through firefox or IE. It's under one p tag. So it's same formatting i saw in the text file which is two line. But if i copy and paste through Chrome or Firefox, it becomes two p tag. So at display there,s one space between that two line. I tried to add safari plugin, but nothing happens. And if i put the plugin called paste_auto_cleanup_on_paste : true, it's removing the space, but two line text became one line. Cany anyone help me out by providing solution ? I noticed that at wordpress which is using Tinymce Editor also, doesn't occur that problem, because seems like they are using span instead of p at editor. If that's the solution, how can i change to span instead of p. Thanks for your help and greatly appreciated.

Insert multiple line breaks into a JavaScript string (regex) (CodeMirror)

I have a few strings and I would like to insert some line breaks into them at certain points. I figured out a few of the logistics but as a whole I can't seem to crack this problem, probably because I have limited experience with regex. Basically I have a long string of XML tags that is all on one line. I want to add line breaks at certain points to get the data more formatted and looking nice. I am using CodeMirror to display this data on a webpage but for some reason its all on line #1. So I need to go from something like this: <Sample><Name></Name><PhoneNumber><AreaCode></AreaCode><Number></Number></PhoneNumber></Sample> To something like this: <Sample> <Name></Name> <PhoneNumber> <AreaCode></AreaCode> <Number></Number> </PhoneNumber> </Sample> CodeMirror will take care of the rest of the formatting all I need to do is insert the line breaks in the right spot using regex or a loop of some sort. The Tags will or can change so I am guessing regex has to be used. I have had success inserting line breaks with \n and &#xD but can't seem to get regex to detect the proper locations. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. UPDATE I overlooked this but the brackets are in fact being sent as < and > So example tag would look like: <PhoneNumber> or </PhoneNumber> So basically need to insert a \n after every > that is a closing tag or a beginning tag that contains children tags.

Concatenate 2 text elements on a line with full-width border using CSS only

Okay, I'm a newbie to CSS3, so please be gentle. ;-) I'm working with some Wordpress code (Woocommerce plugin, to be exact), and I'm trying to format a line of code in a sidebar so that 2 separate text items (one in an <a, the other in a <span are all on the same line, the full width of the column, and with a bottom border. It looks something like this (except the bottom border on each text do not go all the way across the enclosing sidebar box): http://www.dalluva.com/temp/browse-catalog.JPG (sorry, I'm new and can't post inline images yet) Here's the code fragment I'm trying to live with (i.e. I don't want to change it): <div class="widget"> ... <ul class="product-categories"> <li class="cat-item"> <a href="http://localhost/dalluva/shop/product-category/books/">Books</a> <span class="count">(5)</span> </li> ... And here's the CSS I have now: .widget ul li a { border-bottom: 1px solid #e9e9e9; line-height:1.0; padding: 5px 0 5px 22px; display: inline-block; } .widget ul li span { border-bottom: 1px solid #e9e9e9; line-height: 1.0; padding: 5px 0 5px 0; display: inline-block; } The output in the image above looks right for this CSS code, but when I change the 'span' CSS to include a width:100%, it causes the span element to wrap to the next line, looking like this: http://www.dalluva.com/temp/browse-catalog-2.JPG I've played with white-space:nowrap, overflow:hidden, etc, but I can't seem to find a way to have both the <a and the <span text on the same line with the border extending the full width of the column. I have a file that contains a list of files: 02 of Clubs.eps 02 of Diamonds.eps 02 of Hearts.eps 02 of Spades.eps ... I am attempting to mass-convert these to png format in several sizes. PHP generating csv not sending correct new line feeds

I have a script that generates a csv file using the following code: header('Content-type: text/csv'); header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="'.date("Ymdhis").'.csv"'); print $content; The $content variable simply contains lines with fields separated by commas and then finalised with ."\n"; to generate a new line. When I open the file in csv it looks fine however, when I try to use the file to import into an external program (MYOB) it does not recognise the End Of Line (\n) character and assumes one long line of text. When I view the contents of the file in notepad, the end of line character (\n) is a small rectangle box which looks like the character code 0x7F. If I open the file and re-save it in excel, it removes this character and replaces it with a proper end of line character and I can import the file. What character do I need to be generating in PHP so that notepad recognises it as a valid End Of Line character? (\n) obviously doesn't do the job.

Pass Arguments to Included Module in Ruby?

I'm hoping to implement something like all of the great plugins out there for ruby, so that you can do this: acts_as_commentable has_attached_file :avatar But I have one constraint: That helper method can only include a module; it can't define any variables or methods. The reason for this is because, I want the options hash to define something like type, and that could be converted into one of say 20 different 'workhorse' modules, all of which I could sum up in a line like this: def dynamic_method(options = {}) include ("My::Helpers::#{options[:type].to_s.camelize}").constantize(options) end Then those 'workhorses' would handle the options, doing things like: has_many "#{options[:something]}" Here's what the structure looks like, and I'm wondering if you know the missing piece in the puzzle: # 1 - The workhorse, encapsuling all dynamic variables module My::Module def self.included(base) base.extend ClassMethods base.class_eval do include InstanceMethods end end module InstanceMethods self.instance_eval %Q? def #{options[:my_method]} "world!" end ? end module ClassMethods end end # 2 - all this does is define that helper method module HelperModule def self.included(base) base.extend(ClassMethods) end module ClassMethods def dynamic_method(options = {}) # don't know how to get options through! include My::Module(options) end end end # 3 - send it to active_record ActiveRecord::Base.send(:include, HelperModule) # 4 - what it looks like class TestClass < ActiveRecord::Base dynamic_method :my_method => "hello" end puts TestClass.new.hello #=> "world!" "import ppm:- | gocr -i - | xclip -selection c" works, but gocr is unreliable: simple text on a webpage has errors. It is a clear font but the OCR tool always misses "r" and replaces it with underscore. "import ppm:- | ocrad -i - | xclip -selection c" says "ocrad: maxval 255 in ppm "P6" file." tesseract needs an image file and does not accept piping input to it. xfce4-screenshooter does not do OCR. ABBYY Screenshot Reader is proprietary. tessnet2 is freeware running on a proprietary platform. Google Docs can OCR screenshots in a batch. But my data is confidential and better not put online. List full timestamps of files in a tarball

I have a large tar archive and want to see the exact (nanosecond) timestamps that are stored for each file in the archive. In case it's relevant, the tarball is in POSIX-2001 format (tar --format=posix). tar --list --verbose displays the timestamps rounded off to the minute. For comparison, ls --full-time does what I want, but I'd rather not have to extract everything first because it's huge. For my purposes, command-line and GUI tools are both fine.

Where does $PATH get set in OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard?

I type echo $PATH on the command line and get /opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/Users/andrew/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/mysql/bin:/usr/local/pear/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin:/opt/local/bin:/usr/local/git/bin I'm wondering where this is getting set since my .bash_login file is empty. I'm particularly concerned that, after installing MacPorts, it installed a bunch of junk in /opt. I don't think that directory even exists in a normal Mac OS X install. Update: Thanks to jtimberman for correcting my echo $PATH statement

How do I detect if uTorrent is downloading?

I need to write a script that determines whether or not uTorrent is currently downloading something. I'd rather it just be downloading, but if I cannot differentiate between downloading and uploading then it would be better than nothing. One possible way would be check the whether any files ending in .!ut are locked - but I'm hoping for something a little more elegant. My weapon of choice is VBScript but I'm happy to use the command line if needs be.

I used route delete 0.0.0.0 in Windows 7 and now i can't connect to my adsl internet

I was looking for a way to portfoward 0.0.0.0 default gateways and I found in a Microsoft page that I had to try the command route delete 0.0.0.0, my internet disconnected and I couldn't connect to the internet anymore... Does anyone have a solution? It's an ADSL Modem. I have: Windows 7 x32 4 GB ram A kanji modem that has this problem too... It's like Windows doesn't detect the wireless adapter, so it won't connect to the internet.

How can I see Bash history from more than one terminal session in Ubuntu?

I use Ubuntu 9.10 and I would like to be able to see my bash history for more than one terminal sessions. I.e. my last 200 commands or so, even if I have been logged out in between. When I use the history I just see all commands from my actual terminal session. How can I see more command history from Bash? Is there any specific settings for bash that I should change from the default values in Ubuntu?
