    In the page below,Topic__c is a single-select picklist. My intention is to have this list control which of the input fields is available below. I tried debugging, and saw the code: notifyDataSetChanged() get called, but the custom getView() is not fired ! Can you please tell me, that is normal in Android, or did I do something wrong ?     It is simple to implement a port mapper using bufferevent_* functions of libevent. However, the documentation states that "This file descriptor is not allowed to be a pipe(2)". Will libevent work correctly if I shutdown the socket in one direction shutdown(socket, SHUT_WR);? I expect it to discard remaining data in the buffer and not write there anymore, but continue reading from socket and calling a read handler.

    parsec-3.1.0 ( http://hackage.haskell.org/package/parsec-3.1.0 ) works with any token type. However there are combinators like Text.Parsec.Char.satisfy that are only defined for Char datatype. There doesn't seem to be any more general counterpart available. Should I define my own versions or did I miss something? Perhaps there are different parser libraries in Haskell that allows: custom token types custom parser state (I need to parse stateful format - Wavefront OBJ)

    I've got aConfiguration object that I can easily read and write settings from and call Save(ConfigurationSaveMode.Minimal, true) on and that typically works just fine. However, I now have a config file that has a custom sectionGroup defined of type System.Configuration.NameValueSectionHandler (I didn't write that part and I can't change it). Now when I call the Save method, it throws a TypeLoadException Message: Type System.Configuration.NameValueSectionHandler does not inherit from System.Configuration.ConfigurationSectionGroup.   • What does this WCF error mean: "Custom tool warning: Cannot import wsdl:portType"

    I created a WCF service library project in my solution, and have service references to this. I use the services from a class library, so I have references from my WPF application project in addition to the class library. Services are set up straight forward - only changed to get async service functions. Everything was working fine - until I wanted to update my service references. It failed, so I eventually rolled back and retried, but it failed even then! So - updating the service references fails without doing any changes to it. Why?! The error I get is this one: Custom tool error: Failed to generate code for the service reference 'MyServiceReference'. Please check other error and warning messages for details. The warning gives more information: Custom tool warning: Cannot import wsdl:portType Detail: An exception was thrown while running a WSDL import extension: System.ServiceModel.Description.DataContractSerializerMessageContractImporter Error: List of referenced types contains more than one type with data contract name 'Patient' in namespace 'http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/MyApp.Model'. Need to exclude all but one of the following types. So; in the "Configure service reference" for the service I uncheck the "Reuse types in the referenced assemblies" checkbox. Rebuilding now it all works fine without problems. But what did I really change? Will this make an impact on my application? And when should one uncheck this? I do want to reuse the types I've set up DataContract on, but no more. Will I still get access to those without this checked?

  • Android SDK - Animation prevents further events on View like OnClick()

    I have an ImageView which is animated via startAnimation() to slide it into the screen. It is visible and enabled in the XML. When I add a Handler for a delay or an onClick event, nothing happens. When I remove the startAnimation() everything works fine. Except the animation of course. Heres my code: balloon.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View view) { view.setVisibility(View.GONE); } }); Animation dropDown = AnimationUtils.loadAnimation(context, R.anim.balloon_slide_down); dropDown.setStartOffset(1500); balloon.startAnimation(dropDown); Any ideas why that is?   • UIButton: Need a circle hit area

    Ok I have 6 custom UIButtons. Their normal state image are all circles images. They are all spaced out equally but all the circles touch each other. The problem with the custom UIbutton (which has a circle image on it), is that the hit area of that button is square, and the corners of this square overlaps the hitarea of the other custom button's hitarea. How do i make the hit area of a UIbutton whos normal state has a circle image, be only clickable on that circle only, rather than the normal square hit area?!     OK I'm really stumped on this one. I want to make a checkbox with a NSTextFieldCell combined together. It's important that the checkbox goes ON if the mouse hits the box, NOT the text. I've accomplished this, more or less, but the issue is receiving the mouse event because I click one checkbox in a row, but ALL of them turn to NSOnState. I will show what I've done and my various failed attempts in order to get this to work.     I'm making a DataGridView with a series of Checkboxes in it with the same labels horizontally and vertically. Any labels that are the same, the checkboxes will be inactive, and I only want one of the two "checks" for each combination to be valid. The following screenshot shows what I have: Anything that's checked on the lower half, I want UN-checked on the upper. So if [quux, spam] (or [7, 8] for zero-based co-ordinates) is checked, I want [spam, quux] ([8, 7]) un-checked. Basically, how do I get the "right" address with the right boolean value so that my flipping algorithm will work?

    As usual, I'm trying to do something the easiest way possible, in this case implement a double-tap handler on a UIWebView like so: <div id="foo" ondblclick="clickHandler(this);" ... > It works fine in Safari and Firefox, and I know the code containing clickHandler is loading on the iPhone thanks to a now-annoying alert stmt at the end of loading. If I change ondblclick to onclick it works on both the device and the simulator. From reading similar queries it would seem that I need to intercept the taps in ... and then run my JavaScript code with the stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString method, but then how do I know the JS id of the target? I no like that, would rather write a pure HTML/DOM/JS solution. Or since my app is about 80% web content, should I be using phonegap instead?

    I am looking for a way to do some string formatting through Grails JSON conversion, similar to custom formatting dates, which I found in this post. Something like this: import grails.converters.JSON; class BootStrap { def init = { servletContext -> JSON.registerObjectMarshaller(String) { return it?.trim() } } def destroy = { } } I know custom formatting can be done on a per domain class basis, but I am looking for a more global solution.

    I need to not validate against a doctype, so I'd like to set a custom EntityResolver that accepts everything. I'm getting data back from tagsoup, so I know my data is well-formed and correct. Furthermore, I need to rapidly hit a number of documents, so when I do this with the default EntityResolver, I get 503 from w3.org. How, then, can I use a XOM builder with a custom entity resolver?

I want make both levels works within transaction. I read about JTA which can manage distributed transactions. But there is lack information in the internet about how to implement and use custom resource. Does any one have experience with using custom XAResources?
